The strategy and tactics of Edith's army were superb. They turned certain defeat into victory. Edward has cinched Edith's favor with his valor and skill in the battle. Fran's approach to the mob was doomed to failure. The flashback to his first rape by Gustave shows the beginning of his poor soul's transformation into The Fiend. When Fran told Lothar they needed a body, I could see what he had in mind. Even with Gustave dead, too mercifully I might add, all those years of abuse will be difficult to purge. He is now perched on a knife's edge. Does he commit the troops at his command to Edith or Greyford? I believe Greyford is doomed either way, but Fran's choice will be life or death for him. -

Now Caleb is a light shifter too we have the possibility he can help with the hybrid healing. It will go a long way towards his atonement. If I'm remembering shifter lore correctly, white wolves are healers and typically have free entry into other pack's territories.
