    Nicest Thing?

I don't take stock of nice things done, generally. There's any number of times I've had my friends help me and I help them lately. Its family. We all need each other because we're all we've got really...
  2. I got drilled as a 'Faggot Cocksucking Maricon (I lived in a mainly hispanic area) through most of my school life. It hurt then because I was trying to deny myself. Now when I hear it I take it as a complement (even though I know its made to be an insult). They recognize me because I no longer have to hide and I can say back to them "That's right! I'm a faggot...and proud of it!" Its like calling a dog a dog or a cat a cat. Its just calling me with the words they know for who I am. It kind of kills their insult when its seen that way I think. Their intentions are meant to hurt but, to me, its like calling a duck a duck as an insult. Its ridiculous and makes them sound stupid!
  3. Don't feel bad, CB. I never could get mine together good enough to work. I went back to things I could understand like brooms, mops, and old (clean) underwear dust cloths.
  4. Oh hey! I'm glad you are reading it. I didn't think too many were. This story was my first foray into writing so its kind of special to me. I'm so very glad you are enjoying it!
  5. Didn't Voldemort kill one of those people?
  6. Morgan Obris, the Crystal Palace ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The scream was shrill. Its sound pierced through the entire crystal palace from each graceful arch to each exultant vault. It was a sound that could instinctively send shuddering chills through a person's soul...no matter how hardened that soul may have become by doing what was necessary. It was strange. The sound did not seem in any way organic. It reminded one of those steam whistles the men-filth once used i
  7. Don't go anywhere near or through an American Military Base with Poke Go going! They will confiscate your phone and possible detain you for questioning. They are on hyper alert right now and Poke Go uses cameras and GPS to work...these things are classic intelligence gathering tools for possible belligerents. I just saw an official message from the DoD about this yesterday. They seriously don't like Poke Go.
  8. Lovely!! I'm afraid I'd get all Darth Sidious on that Effer's ass. I'm too Irish and get angry too easy. Hehehehe!
  9. Hehehehe. Strange as it may sound, the story was written for the soundtrack. John Jagos, the lead singer and performer of Brothertiger was amazed that I could get this from his album.

    The Prince of Sirens

Oh thank you! I've always loved the Greek Myths. I managed to find one so obscure and so unfinished that I could do something with it! I was so lucky! I am just about to post a soundtrack that gave me the idea for this story. I'll get it up in a few.
  11. That's what I love about good love songs is that they can be interpreted in a lot of ways. If you guys are familiar at all with Comsie's Billy Chase soap opera, I applied Coldplay's 'Fix You' to the character of Stevie. It made sense from Brandon's perspective. A Thousand Miles is magnificent as is A Thousand Years by Christina Perri. I love this topic! I find a lot of inspiration in music for my stories. Albums sometimes become stories for me and then I interpret those stories as they come to me. Each of my stories is outlined by a soundtrack that gives me the emotional blueprint for what I'm trying to achieve with the story. I started one of my stories after hearing this song by a little known artist from New York:
  12. "I knew I loved you" is the most perfect love song I think I've ever heard. I love how Darryn made it gender neutral. I use it as part of my Souvenir soundtrack. I also love Keane's "Somewhere Only We Know" which is a beautiful expression of final love in the face of the end of things. It calls to mind the absolute desperation men and women in gay relationships endured in times past. "Fix You" By Coldplay is just extraordinary... "The First Time I Saw Your Face" by roberta flack is lovely and takes on an entirely gay tone when sung with the longing in George Michael's voice. "The Air That I Breathe" by the Hollies is probably the most romantic post-coital song I know. Sung through k.d. lang...it is devestatingly beautiful. etc. etc.
  13. I just love Japanese rock/pop. I have ever since YMO (Yellow Magic Orchestra). Ryuichi Sakamoto is one of my very favorite composers of all time. His latest work was the theme to The Revenant! Here is YMO's 'Behind The Mask':

    The Prince of Sirens

Alas, Aphrodite has always been something of a dichotomy. She is the Goddess of Love, but perhaps of a more selfish controlling love. Love should be free, but once one has lost it one always wants to capture it and put it in a cage so it won't escape again. Perhaps the Goddess must finally evolve to a newer understanding of love and then the rest of us can follow likewise?

    The Prince of Sirens

Thank you Lux! Yes...Alexis must be the first thread of a new pattern. I wonder what tapestry the three Moairai mean to weave?
  16. Engulfed. We plummet down, down, down through the azure depths of Poseidon's realm. About us schools of millions of sardines and anchovies circle around us in vast waves of shimmering silver and gold. They turn and twist like clouds of jewels but in a perfection of order only living things are capable of. Interspersed among the great schools swim larger fish. Tuna for the most part. Blue fins who look like silver bars shattering golden shards about them as they hunt the smaller fi
  17. "Zelda was very beautiful and was tanned a lovely gold colour and her hair was a beautiful dark gold and she was very friendly. Her hawk's eyes were clear and calm. I knew everything was all right and was going to turn out well in the end when she leaned forward and said to me, telling me her great secret, 'Ernest, don't you think Al Jolson is greater than Jesus?' Nobody thought anything of it at the time. It was only Zelda's secret that she shared with me, as a hawk might share something with a man. But hawks do not share. Scott did not write anything any more that was good until after he knew that she was insane." ~ Ernest Hemingway
