  1. I wrote a 'vignette' with Brandon's father's voice. Somehow I think Brandon needs to trust in his old Pop more. It's so hard for teenagers to believe that their parents might have been teenagers too once.

    Chapter 22

Hmmm . . . I wonder if Brandon's Dad will be nearly as sensitive about this situation as Billy's Mom is being. Somehow I don't think so. But Brandon has always been slower to trust in these things I guess.
  3. Thank you Emi! You'll experience it again in prose in time. This is a coming attraction from my story Snowflake: A Love Story.
  4. Find someone to kiss to keep your lips warm.
  5. ------ The Forever White Under the Phosphorescent Sky ------ ~ For my future love I stand still with him here Upon this frozen shore In ice chilled air so clear Where cold fills every pore We look out far across The ice hardened water To spot the Northern Cross, Our guide through dark winter We see that the sky shines With prismatic echoes Of lights in bands and lines of bright greens and yellows I giggle like a child Filled high with giddy joy To see a sight so wild Feeling again that boy I lost so long ago My Love turns to face me And takes hold of my hand His smile shines with glee Seeing my joy expand To see his pure homeland Where only truth can lie In pure bliss our lips close Upon the forever white snows Under a phosphorescent sky

  8. A fairly effective film about the early days of AIDS from its discovery through the political machinations of its progress through the 1980s. A story every young gay man and woman should know.
  9. The fire crackled and its light sent shifting shadows throughout the darkened cottage. It was warm and it was good that it was warm because a sudden chill had fallen upon the countryside. Moira, Sean, and Joraan huddled around the fire after their own fashions. Moira and Sean were on the couch cuddled up to one another like two peas in a pod under the covers. Joraan lay on the floor at their feet, luxuriating in the feel of the warm wood floor beneath him. The fire seemed to affect him diffe
  10. Happy Birthday, Mikie!
  11. Grief teaches us lessons in compassionate love. What we perceive as an unendurable trial later reveals itself as a mighty tool to assist someone else who needs help. In times of grief take strength that upon its survival you will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.
  12. Far too young . . .
  13. Amen with a ragged Leonard Cohen Hallelujah
  14. My Snowflake character is all excited! Time to wax them skis!
  15. Well, here's the thing. I know here where I am the younger ones no longer take HIV as seriously as I think they should. They figure that there are medications that can control the virus so they don't take the precautions they should. It's scary to me so I'm a big advocate for PrEP. I actually just got my battery of tests done to get ready to start PrEP myself. I'm not that active, but I'd like to have the protection anyway. I grew up during the worst of the AIDS crisis. It's one of the reasons I didn't come out for a long time. I saw the devestation of that sum of all plagues first hand. Playing with that beast is just crazy as far as I'm concerned.
  16. Well, I wanted to get it over here before I forgot. My brain is doing a thousand things today so I'm completely scatterbrained. This seemed to be the safest place. You guys are welcome to move it anywhere you like. I'm just excited that they've discovered this! Yay!
  17. I wasn't sure if this would be controversial or not so I played it safe and put it in the Pit. I get in enough trouble with my big mouth as it is, but I wanted to put this news somewhere.
  18. Breakthrough in the fight against HIV and AIDS! N6 may be the key to a cure we've been looking for these 40-some years now: https://www.niaid.nih.gov/news-events/nih-scientists-identify-potent-antibody-neutralizes-nearly-all-hiv-strains

    Chapter 21

"I wonder why Billy's been so quiet lately? I've seen him do this before. He holds stuff in and it just goes to silly places. I'm here for him. I want him to remember that. He's not alone anymore."

    The Rapture of Alexis

    Indeed we do.
  21. I awaken in the arms of complete and blissful comfort. Imagine, if you will, laying upon a tongue, but one not icky with spit. Just soft, mildly textured for stimulation, perfectly conforming, and warm like a womb would be. Yes, it is very much like a womb. The comfort of your mother's womb and the complete safety none of us remember, but long for all our lives. This is the comfort of Poseidon's living bed! I come alive within its soft embrace. It wraps me, covers m
