  1. Daydreams A dreary drizzle is my working day, a grey-green grumble passing by the clock, so full of moments, gathered as a flock of noisy blackbirds feeding in the hay. My tasks are massed, battalions in array, to lay me siege upon my tower'd rock; each item seems my impotence to mock, and I am too unequal to the fray. But comes the moment I shall be set free, my inclinations following a while; I think how best to use my liberty, the pre
  2. Well, the tumor driven paranoia and insanity you depict in Logan are frightening enough. How hard it is that the very pack they set out to contact puts our boys in life threatening danger. Very hard to read this without gulping down heart medications!
  3. Wow, these boys do things right, and without any 3D virtual reality goggles, either. The things they see and feel, my, oh my. And my hat is off to you, for your marvelous descriptions of their lovemaking, their play, and their lives together. We readers can't imagine letting them go.
  4. High school is hard no matter where you are. These notes, so genuine and so freely written capture this. In this note there is both heartbreak and hope. And maybe a continuing story, somehow. Many thanks.
  5. I value this poem immensely. It speaks with enormous wisdom.

    Hangover

I love this poem, with its visceral descriptions of sensations I recall too well. And the last verse's final question is exactly the right one. Merci, mom ami.

    Summer's End

Well, off to another start...CJ starts off this story with a hell of a lot of confidence, and plenty of support. But his age and hormones could spell real trouble, especially if he fails to believe his doctors, his older friends...or his Dads. Can't wait to see what ride you have girl us. Guaranteed it's not on a Vespa!

TP Wally was very lucky someone like Javier was present and day to help at the right moment. A very lucky man, really. But TP Wally will continue to have some form of trouble as long as that video is out there...the best he can hope for is that it gets old, and the, er, viewing public moves on. As tim put it, the past never stays dead.
  9. You depict the hope and pain of this situation so perfectly, I cant begin to tell you how much it seems real. And like several others, I would have done more than consider the note....many thanks for this.

I am absurdly pleased that this was such an unexpected turn of events for you. But then, Wally's life has been hardly predictable for the past few months, has it? Wally is undergoing a change, as you say. Thank you so much for reading so far into the story, and for your vey kind words.

If the video went viral, there will be plenty of people who see that vid. But you are right in characterizing the rather sad, puffy scientist as a sicko. But the past came back to haunt TP in a big way, and, um, pointedly, too. Sadly, I suspect the perv would have injured or even killed Wally, if Javier hadn't appeared. Javier is kind of protective of his people, isn't he? Many thanks for your thoughts and comments...

The internet is not an unalloyed good, is it? And there are wackos out there. But in another sense, TP is learning about angels, who are also out there, and appear at the most interesting moments. Many thanks for your reading so far into the story.

I fear there are a great many people in this world who will watch that video. Cabrera was an excellent angel at the moment he needed one. TP may reflect on that, too. Many thanks for your encouraging comments.

Wally has attracted several angels, though whether they are guardians is another matter. Lee and Javier both qualify, certainly. If this chapter and the last we're a bit unexpected, then I have done my job a bit. Not everything I write should be as predictable as it usually seems...many thanks for your encouraging comments. Hope the reading is worth the while!

Some people are quiet and can surprise the heck out of you. Javier clearly just did that to Wally. I am glad you found this chapter twist a little unexpected. Wouldn't want everything to be predictable. Many thanks for your comments and for reading thus far into the story.

Some things we best left unexplained. But I am glad this chapter surprised you. Thank you for sticking with the story so far...

Javier Cabrera is clearly a very good man, not just a good mechanic, engineer or mentor. Wally had no idea, and then the worst idea about what was to happen, at least until Javier showed him what was really happening. You are right in that Wally doesn't want to escape the Feigenbaum, even though he may not feel completely safe there. Thanks for reading and for your comments!

The remaining hours in the Feigenbaum's January cruise passed in a blur. One incident stood out. It happened during his last morning watch with the Marine Technician. The labs seemed split between scientists frantically finishing experiments or data sets, and other researchers carefully cleaning up their spaces and equipment. "Wally, those boxes get stowed in the forward compartment below. Make sure the number on the shelf matches the code on the box," Haskins called out to him. "Sure thing."
  19. Or were Terry and Kaz talking about Zander and Andy? Andy never stayed to ask....
  20. Andy is stubbornness, embodied. And this is one of my very favorite chapters, too. If I can tell tales on myself, I reread this chapter from time to time, also. Zander's stomach must be turning somersaults and tying him in knots...
  21. Beautiful. Happy New Year!
  22. Some things are better left unstated..... You never know... Your reviews have made me smile, and it appreciate them, no end.
  23. Luis is definitely untouchable. That didn't stop TP from stirring a bit, but he seems to know his limits and boundaries in this new environment. TP is probably too busy trying to find his feet and his way to make too stupid a move.
  24. TP sees and lives what it means to work and have that work valued. This is different to what he knew before. He is part of a team, even if he is on the lowest rung. What a difference. That's for your thoughts, tim. ...P

TP was very, very lucky. He could easily have been badly hurt or killed. Good thing he may have a friend in Javier. And the Captain was very good to him, too. Now it remains to be seen if he can build on that...many thanks for your review...
