The Drop in Centre
Mikiesboy replied to Mikiesboy's topic in Mikiesboy's Drop in Centre's Mikieboy's Topics
That's very true. All of them can bite. Our friend's dog who we babysit sometimes, is a rescue and he can be weird. He's always on his gentle leader outside and he's never left with children. Cuz you just never know. Kids are small and fast and loud.. and can get dogs over excited.. not on purpose, but no, i'd never leave a dog with a kid. -

Another child killed by two Cane Corso dogs April 1.. It's in the paper today. He was a sweet kid by all accounts, 11 years old. He'd known the dogs for a while, but belonged to his dad's roommate. Dad went out to the garage for 10 minutes when he returned the boy was dead. Official cause, dog bite. These two dogs also attacked and bit a women at the same property a week prior. This is happening too often. Don't leave your kids alone with this giant dogs. I know, I've heard it all before... they are gentle, they are sweet, they've been raised properly. Maybe, but don't trust them with your kids. That goes for any of the bull breeds/mastifs and other large guarding/protection breeds. -

Happy Monday or Eclipses are a Pain Day (all the brats are home from school today to protect them.) And to rub that in a little more here is what arrived today... As totality will be seen only in Niagara Falls.. that little town is expecting over a million people.. we have been seeing newspaper articles about this event for months. So far it's cloudy here...so it may just be a giant dud. We'll see or not ... Have a good day wherever you are and just be smart if it gets dark. -
Thank you kindly, Parker. I appreciate your thoughtful comments on these.

Thank you, Michael. xo

Thank you for reading, k. Aw, sorry for the memories, but that line is so true of cicadas. They have a kind of pretty name, but the rest of them.. mmm not so much.

i'm glad you can relate to the first poem, but i'm also sorry you can. These headaches are truly awful. xo Thank you for reading them all, chris.

The Paranormal Hits Home
Mikiesboy commented on lawfulneutralmage's story chapter in The Paranormal Hits Home
Welcome back! I love the comments you're getting on this story. I remember when you first told me the premise, and I wondered how that would go down with readers. Then I read it and didn't wonder any further. This is a terrific chapter. -
1: No prompt, just woke up with a bad headache on this day. It's gray again like a fungus and it eats into my peace and sanity like bacteria like the faceless chewer in my dreams my head aches and eyes throb will I ever wake pain free? seems like that’s not for me don’t mention it don’t complain don’t become him again be honest and tell the truth yes tell it but just not that take some drugs, yes take your meds, add a painkiller what’s a few more to you

Good morning, happy Sunday. We are on day 2 of some warmth and sunshine, which immediately makes my brain feel better. My plans for today are to post some poetry, bake something for dessert, take a walk, write for a while, start the sleeves on my sweater, figure out how to block the front and back panels of my sweater, and yeah, that should do it for today! I hope you all have a super day!! -

Don't do that, is my recommendation. -
I, like @CassieQ enjoy @Comicality's weekly offering. This week's on the use of monologues by a character was interesting and something we should consider including. What else, i have finished the body of a sweater i'm making for myself and am onto the sleeves now. And like a crazy person, i've decided to attempt to write for NaPoWriMo, for which i will gently blame @Valkyrie as she set up the poetry anthology in April. Which it turns out was a good thing. Now as i'm prone to a good babble, i'll be quiet. Have a good week all.

I went for a nap, which turned into a two-hour nap. Dinner plans have changed slightly to a lighter meal of soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. I'm making Shepherd's Pie tomorrow, but it's ready and just needs to be heated up and some vegetables done. -

Michael gives me the file folder with all the receipts and stuff and says, "Go to it, boy." If i didn't do them, He would take them to a tax guy. LOL -

I use online tax software because our taxes are pretty straightforward. I download the necessary information from the government and plug in a few numbers. It's done. I still hate it, though. -
