you've had no time to mourn .. you will though.. i hope you enjoy Vancouver .. i've never been there, i'd like to go

very true, i agree. some people seem to be able to do it easily.. some are .. but yeah, no. They just launched a new mobile platform to a percentage of customers.. it is sooo busy i mean insane. I do back to back chats all day.. ... the other day we did 680 chats our hours are 8am to 11pm ... but there's not enough of us atm ... so a large portion are not getting through to a rep. They are looking at the busiest times.. offer 4 day weeks if you work friday, saturday sunday and monday from 8am to 6:30pm .. not sure about that one myself. There are still 50 old chat reps not trained on the new platform.. because the old one still needs support. Then there is email. Lots and lots of work.. and we need more staff, need train the others and need to decide what will happen on our .com pages... lots of things to figure out.

i agree.. it is nuts. it's counterproductive. yes, you have got that 2nd customer off the waiting list, but now they have to wait while the rep helps the other person, tries to come back and remember what you are looking for .. to me it's a recipe for disaster. We use Microsoft Teams at work, to chat with colleagues and i don't know how many have posted things and then said... ooops wrong chat. That's bad enough but it will happen with customers... and that could lead to some very bad errors and issues. i've tried to do two at once and if i had to do it permanently, i'd be off on stress leave or have a stroke or something. it's awful. and i just will not do it. it would be the end of me. And i will not put myself in harm's way for my job. So, i'm very glad it ended like it did.

Thank you. i'll always be my mental self ... however i had news at work that could have had me leaving because i cannot do what they said they wanted. i've been upset for days.. Michael started back to school this week and i'm still the sole provider atm. Needless to say i was freaking out because if i cannot do the job, why should they keep me? Michael said, we have savings and if worse came to worse we could move into my parents giant house, He'd rather not have to do that but, it's an option. I worried for several days and finally said.. i can't keep doing this. So, i emailed my snr mgr and my manager and said. i just cannot do what you've mentioned we'll be doing. i said i really like my job and i want to stay, is there some kind of compromise? i sent that yesterday morning. i worked yesterday even though i've not slept well for days. Yesterday afternoon i had a coaching session with my manager. He said, got your email. He said, are you all right? I said, i'm fine as i am but i cannot do that. i cannot chat with two customers at the same time. i cannot multitask.. some can, i cannot. He said, you know I wish you'd just said so. He said, we understand and we need people like you who always perform well, who care about their team and customers, who have experience. Please don't worry. And if you are, please tell me. He said, we are looking at ways to meet demand, so we're changing some shifts, trying to make adjustments... dual chats is an option but we can work things out with people who can't meet that particular challenge. You can stay on email and chat, people doing dual chats can do that only.. there's options. So, the doc was rather happy than instead of just collapsing in a large, mushy wet depressed heap, i talked to Michael about it and also talked to my boss. He said you were brave and proactive and you stopped a full on episode. He said it wont always work, but it did this time. i feel much better today, just a bit tired and headachey. Maybe a nap...

Going to the shrink ... it's been a rough few days but i have not been pulled into the rabbit hole. i do however have the headache from hell ... this too shall pass. Here's a thought, albeit not my own..

Thanks, Wolfie. She was special to us here in Canada as well. She was always just sort of there. Reliable, honest and strong. Our Queen and yes.. God Save The King. xoxo
-
She was ours too. It's a sad day.

I'd likely be fired ..lol

Here's a happiness tip: Here’s a beautiful quote by Anne Lamott: “Not forgiving is like drinking rat poison and then waiting for the rat to die.”

He did have a jeep .. but He sold it because of his chronic dizziness. He doesn't drive anymore. Not for a couple of years now. But yeah, some vehicles are hard for Him to sit in comfortably. You have to look up a lot, watch for low branches and stuff ... and the door closing things like on store doors have caught Him in the head more than once. Clothes are not easy to buy up here .. and for some reason, pre-shrunk is a foreign idea. He's ordered clothes from USA which have been better as they seem to understand who they are dealing with. Short ladies in the grocery store often say, "Can i borrow him? There's something on the top shelf.." It's sweet.. .they usually come up to his waist. lol
-
People often think tall is better ... you should ask Michael about that. He's got some stories and always says you do not want to be this tall. Mind you, old ladies in the grocery store do appreciate Him.

Day off today ... it's cool and cloudy .. the poster below sounds great. i'm not good at sleeping in or laying in bed.. i'm one of those "i'm awake now, get up" people. Sadly, my motivation often drops as soon as. LOL Have a good Monday.
-
Just sounds scary to me... i'm just glad you're okay.

You have passion and a good imagination. Both are needed to tell a good tale. i've been struggling with writing and what you've said is helpful. Thank you for sharing what your work means to you. I'm glad you're still out there, writing. I hope you're here for a long long time. You look after yourself. i will be around.
-
Geez.. i'm glad everyone is okay. Sorry about your weekend. The residents are lucky to have you. Take care.

i save a lot of stuff for later.. then forget about them usually. YouTube is okay, not a real fav for me. Luckily, i dont use social media, tic toc etc. at all. That would be a bad thing for me, i think. i am allowed Prime and the Toronto Star newspaper online and YouTube if i choose. That's enough to be going on with.

Once upon a time, we had a long chat about poached eggs. That may have happened in the first Drop in Centre. maybe. Anyway... i just saw this. i've not tried it, but i will .. cuz while i can make poached eggs, these look amazing. Here it is.. as they say in this.. how to kick poached egg butt:
