  6. I like this very much. There is beauty and poetry here. This is us, our humanity, and our honesty. Should we regret these times of our lives? I don't think so. This is so well written; I felt each moment. Thank you.
  7. A wonderful story of growth and love. Jason is a human being and his story is written with acceptance, sensitivity and tenderness. I highly recommend this story.

    Chapter 2

I've watched a few shows/films about people dealing with their gender. It's got to be so hard to live with those feelings, knowing what most of society thinks or what you think they believe. You've done a fantastic job showing Jason as he learns about himself and learns to accept who he is. As usual, this is wonderfully written with a gentle touch and insight.
  9. In The Depths In the quiet hours once the sun retreats, Silence is heavy beneath the air, A shadow stirring within the heart, entreats The mind to bend under weight and wear. Oh, solemn guest, you enter unannounced, Unbidden, yet settling, cold and deep, Your spoken words are truths renounced Drawing forth a bitter, dreamless sleep. You steal the colours from the morning sky, Laughter turns to echoes, faint and lost. Each second of joy flickers and must die, G
  10. This is poetry written during my recent depressive cycle. I'm learning to accept depression as part of myself rather than as something separate from me. For those who may not know, 'black dog' is a metaphor for depression or melancholy.

    September Sun

Mmm...reminds me of today. It was so cold as we walked in the shade, but the fall sun still warmed us. The sun is always a welcome visitor.
  13. As of this morning, it's a Category 5 hurricane with winds up to 185mph. Milton is its name. I hope all those advised to pack up and leave do so. I hope this thing loses some power over the next hours and that people stay safe.

  19. Don't apologize, Bill. C was such a huge personality. His loss affected many and we each had to deal with that in our own way. He wouldn't want us to be sad for long, but, and I say this with a smile, he wouldn't want us to forget him, either!! I can smile because I know he was loved and that makes me feel good.
