I love them all. Becoming your dad is okay sometimes; he was likely a wonderful man. Distressed left me sad—I hate open wounds left alone. Thank you for this wonderful collection.

Thank you, Gary. i appreciate it. Michael sent Danny and me away for a few days to a friend's cottage. It was so nice and peaceful—no phones, no internet, no TV—just nature. It was beneficial and restful to get some of the noise out of my head. Thanks everyone.. @Reader1810, @CassieQ, @kbois, @chris191070, @spyke, @Kitt, @Page Scrawler and last but not least, @Starrynight22 I'm doing better and submitted my 2 anthology pieces. One was already done and edited and the other is a couple of poems i wrote while i was away. Thank you all for your kind thoughts and support!

The story is about a complex subject and is most difficult initially, but as @Cane23 mentions, there's nothing graphic. It's a story of hardship, fear, friendship, and love, but especially about bravery. @Cane23, thank you for your thoughtful review and words about this story. I enjoyed your comments on each chapter.
