I'm gonna have to go back and reread, but I'm pretty sure the two people they were trying to contact were the ones that the Marshall had arrested on false charges. Hence why their son was like ...uhm, you really don't want to see him, but I can't stop you from being dense. I am happy that the drier chapters to read weren't wasted. It's very refreshing to see the parts that are "dry as all f**k, but needed for future context" being well placed and very artfully condensed for easy digestion. I have to admit I'm loving the slow torturing build to the climax from all the moving pieces coming together. The anticipation from guessing which piece is being looked at in the next chapter is definitely on par, if not better than the jumping around in "Lord of the Rings" or "Dune"

I think Plink will, if she doesn't go as far as to take him to him. As far as i can tell she's been completely honest in all her dealings, I couldn't see her going back on her word no matter how little or small.

I'm wondering who Plink is working for. That and when Zdain is gonna end up running into Ade. I'm gonna laugh my ass off if Plink is actually working for the Blue Moon. With her behavior now, and her introduction it would be rather odd if she was working for any of the organizations or groups already brought up. That and the fact that she seems to have intentionally let herself get caught. The fact I can't solve the enigma around her is driving me bonkers. It's like when R.A. Salvatore leisurely took like 20 books to finally give you enough to figure out Jarlaxle.
