    *big shrug* I've always been a rip off the band-aid and cut out the dead tissue kinda person anyway 😝😝😝 all serious though, you're doing a great job with this story. Even if you think you might be ripping old wounds, just remind yourself there is a reader going through the story somewhere. That reader was just able to catch their breath and give a few tears of relief because now they know they aren't alone, and there is someone that understands their pain.

    I can agree with that one. When the abuse was going on I had so many memory gaps that I got misdiagnosed with D.I.D. I can also say that I'm not alone in keeping information. From what I've learned from other survivors it's very common for us to not give out anything, even if it will help the evidence tremendously. For me and about half the other survivors I've talked with, it was the fear of being accused of enticing the abuser. And yes @Lee Wilson, this story is striking very close to home, and thankfully I'm finding as healing as reading "A Child Called It". It makes me very very glad that there are a few artists on here that aren't afraid to write about abuse.

    Lotta big ooophs. I'll agree with what you said about Lanny. I've seen that way too much up north, guys refuse to "be gay" cause of god or parents, and they end up being some of the worst womanizers 'cause they are trying so hard to force themselves. At least on the plus side, with the way CPS and Social Services work if Skylar and Brendan do start getting close they will just put a new worker on the case. Well as long as Skylar is up front with his supervisor if it does go that far anyway.

    That one caught me off guard too. Makes me wonder if we're gonna learn more about this Order or not. I wouldn't be surprised if the history of the knights gets brought up later, Justin is dang good at packing in lots of information, keeping you entertained, and not overloading you some how.

    Holy flippin intensity. The end of the chapter was definitely the second best part. Just remind me to never challenge you to chess or risk, I love those games but I hate losing.

    Woot, @weinerdog, I figured it out. Compared to a 4 star rating, ☆=getting put in the kennel, ☆☆= put on the tie out, ☆☆☆= getting a shock collar, ☆☆☆☆= in the dog house. Now the real question is, will I remember all that come tomorrow?

    Well we know that Jill is ballsy one now. Starting to look like she has bigger balls then all the boys put together. You almost made my lip quiver over Greg leaving. I'm warning you whippersnapper, you yank them heart strings and you're getting the dog house. All cereal though, well handled intensity there. Both the obvious and the subtle. No doghouse yet, but you're definitely getting a shock collar now.

    You're welcome to come next time I head there. I've got a shark diving trip planned next summer. I can drag both you and @weinerdog with. You guys aren't afraid of small cages or seals are you? I miss living in San Diego. One of the best shark diving places in the world ..... Just don't swim near the navy base with out being up to date on your shots ...
