Nineteen-ninety-eight must have been a very good year! I'm sure that I am not the only one that's pleased you did not stop writing after this one. -
I have a third Road book planned, but have several projects in the works already, and, as the third book promises to be another long one, it has gone onto the back burner for now. I have a limited amount of free time, and have made the decision to finish works currently in progress before starting anything new that will take a lot of time to complete. I have three stories currently with ten chapters or more that need to be completed, and five 'next-entry' single stories to some of my series that are in various stages of progress. As for whether Brian and the gang are enjoying the change in attitudes today...that would be yes. Thanks for commenting!

Having been called a Turdus Migratorius a few times in life, myself, I sure can sympathize with the poor Robin! But they are cheerful despite the handle, and pleasant singers, and I am always happy to have them in my yard. Cowbirds I can do without. Who wants someone else's kids left on their doorstep? I read Grimm's Fairy Tales as a kid! I know what can happen with that! I enjoyed the visits of both your verses, certainly. Despite the cowbird's deviltry, both poems were a wonderful addition to my spring!

Beautiful little collection of thoughts and musings, and very effective, all of them. I wish I could pause and consider each day as you have done. I particularly liked April 27, which packed a ton of feeling into a very few short lines. Excellent! -

The first run terminated, and the second run produced different data from the same query. That certainly suggests a purposeful bit of misdirection. Now the questions are, who is doing the hiding, what exactly is being hidden, and what is the reason for all of it? I do love a good mystery! Same time next week, folks, same bat channel! -

I've never understood parents that love their children conditionally. Poor Geoff. I'm happy Tony was there for him, because he certainly needed a shoulder to cry on. Joy needs a good, swift kick in the...senses. Not surprising she felt Gloria was out of place offering advice. People that hear things they don' want to hear often feel the advice is poor. The world suffers when opinions are held in higher esteem than truths. Good chapter. Thanks!

It isn't that I don't remember what is occurring, it's that I don't always have time to read, so have trouble keeping up. In your case, you are absolutely correct about me not following the story. I apparently read and commented on a chapter several back, and then just continued onward. After this chapter, i went back to the start and realized I had not begun there. Not very bright of me, but it just happened. I've started with chapter one, and now I'll just catch up as I can.

Um, er, um...I apparently wasn't sure what was happening in the newest chapter because I failed to start at the beginning. I'll try to catch up a.s.a.p. Whew! And I thought my memory was just getting bad!

No. I just can't always keep up with all the stories I read. I may need to drop back a few chapters and reread some things. Come to think of it, I am not even certain I started reading at the beginning of this tale! But I am enjoying it!

Ah. Nice to see the guys back! A lot going on here, between the hay loft, Gulliver, and Finn and Lee joining the others for the night out. I have to say it is getting a little hard to recall some things here, because so much time passes between chapters. I know you do your best. I think at some point I'll need to go back and reread a few earlier chapters! So pleased to see you here again, CG!

I was aware of that from the comments. I guess I meant, is this offered for everyone to read and respond to, as would be a story? Because it feels like the sharing of a private world. I don't mean to be a trespasser here, but I almost feel like one. The intimacy of the comments and responses is obvious. I find the perspective of the narrative (or both of them) to be well outside my experience. The writing is excellent, and demands to be read. I want to respond on that level, but I am also a guy that respects boundaries, and I do not want to be the uninvited jerk at the party who just won't go home.

Interesting, fascinating, and different. I am out of my depth here. Reading the reader's comments and your responses is almost as fascinating as the story itself. So where does the story end and real life begin?

I have to agree with other readers - this is compelling. I find the picture you paint vivid. I still do not quite 'get it', but that isn't important and does not detract from the quality of what you are saying here. Fascinating counter-perspective. Do go on.

Curiouser and curiouser. You've well illustrated a mindset I am not familiar with. I've always figured there was a complex dynamic between doms and subs, but it's actually enlightening to see them laid out from the more, um, intense perspective. Let's see what comes next..

I had no trouble at all with the language, and enjoyed the story. Europe has always been far ahead of the US in recognizing the rights of LGBT people. In Netherlands, for instance, same-sex sexual activity has been legal since 1811! Even so, full rights for LGBT people were not granted until 1973, with a few holdouts like the military finally capitulating at that time. I find stories about gay situations that take place in other countries fascinating. The human points of view are of course familiar, but the cultural ones range from subtly different to stunningly different. Thanks for a look both back and afar, Ivor!
