Blurbs quite often take me more than one go - sometimes after I've posted the story. I have no qualms about going in and changing things. Because of this, I find doing the blurbs for antho stories the worst because that option isn't there.

@droughtquake There are plenty of parents who live their lives through that of their unfortunate offspring as well. Ambition, the pressure to succeed, the offensive behaviours usually come from the parents, not the child. By the way, don't you know you should explain acronyms? Never heard of Brexit. Care to explain?

Very much so. . I quickly get tired of writers who churn out the same formula with only the smallest changes. Prompts are a wonderful aid to try something different. I used one to experiment with first person narration without using 'I '. American Steel's a great series.

Hmm... I see what tim means. No context whatsoever left me floundering rather, but there again I'm a reader who expects most things to be done for me. . Nothing wrong with experimentation. I do it myself. Sometimes it works, other times less so.
