It's coming soon.

It's really a shame that corvette couldn't be repaired. The scifi engineer in me was sad to see it blown up but I get the reasons why. Still hot damn this is getting good.
-
Just trying to keep it real Parker, while vaguely sticking to the plot outline lol.
-
You're truly an inspiration, I need to get off my ass and finish mine and do the same damn thing. Also in that Andrew scene I totally imagined a rescue mission which consisted of a power boat, Will in a wet suit wearing a neon green swim mask with matching snorkel. And Jacob was driving the boat wearing those little arm floaties kids wear. I'm pretty sure I heard Will imitate Mrs. Doubtfire by yelling "DONT WORRY DEAR! HELP IS ON THE WAY!" It was actually really funny in my head.

Way to go Jared. He showed Sinclair what true loyalty is and that it can not be bought. Northern Aegis is probably about to down the toilet and hopefully take a bunch of people with it.

Oh my...

That first part really hits. Will's realization that Jacob is growing and at some point, it won't be announced, won't be a grand ceremony, but there will be the last time Jacob asks him to read to him like this. The moment will just pass into memory of better times. So much is going on, I hope that sub has enough small arms on board to take Panama, because that's what it's going to take to stop the incoming onslaught. And Finally Michelle Yeoh returns! Get ready to run Ezra lol.

That type of relationship, true partners built on trust. Some people will find it easily, others it'll take a few tries. A smaller few will only see it through the pages of a story such as this. It's why it's important, to give a taste of something some will sadly never see.

Okay so I totally didn't expect the throwbacks to Carter's Army at all but given Andrews current state they fit so damn well, and they give us an insight into Andrew's mind during that time that we totally didn't have. The whole bit just bleeds into Andrew's character, I felt all of it. His fears, his dreams, and at the end of it all is the anchor that holds him in place: Will. Man that nostalgia though.
-
Okay so now the game really is afoot. I made a comment earlier in the story about how Will keeps Andrew's demons grounded so he remains human and again, we have that communication that shows just that. Things are going south for Andrew quickly, but it's Will that gives him the strength to get through all of it. Andrew's "I Know" reply harks back to Carter's Army when it was said that 'I Know' conveyed more emotion, more words than 'I love you too' could. To see that throwback...It's just so good.

So I'm all for freedom of the press and what not, but freedom of the press for monetary gain is something that irks me. It irks me a lot. I'm glad Will still has Lisa at his side because she's is absolutely correct in how she wants to handle this. If Will does nothing someone else will use it for their own gain and that can't happen. Will and Greg did such a great job of good cop bad cop in this chapter it actually made me laugh. It looks like they're going to get what they needed, because it worked so well.

July CSR Discussion Day: Carter's Army by Topher Lydon

Damn Topher. I'm glad you where able to find the strength to pull through, it's difficult to do. I've got nerve damage on the left side as well, so I know how it goes. I'll PM you at some point and we can compare notes lol. I look forward to the evisceration in that future book though, some people just deserve it. -
I swear the sense of home Andrew and Will have in each other and with Jacob makes you want to cry sometimes. Its just ugh all the feels. This chapter is a sigh of relieve though at the same time now that Jacob's on the other side of it. Ezra and Enrico though, when I think of them it's complicated seems to come to mind.

July CSR Discussion Day: Carter's Army by Topher Lydon

The only personal question I have really for you mate, is how are you doing? I went back and read previous forum posts and it sounded like for a while there you had been gone through the wringer. I hope your doing better, story updates and stuff is one thing but how are you doing? -
Well that cat is now out of the bag for Ezra. Enrico's life just got a hell of a lot more complicated.

Talk about timing both good and bad being key players in this chapter.

July CSR Discussion Day: Carter's Army by Topher Lydon

The Do Over series by dkstories is literally the one series I can't stop reading. It just puts me in a different mental space that's hard to describe. I will say though that rereading the Carter series has also been rooted with a fair bit of nostalgia and to see that series get a new book as been amazing as well. It's been lovely having @Topher Lydon back. -
I've read this story two or three times already (yeah I've lost count) and can't believe I didn't leave a review. Carter is written as a pretty layered character with a lot of depth. You really feel the struggles he has with himself as he tries to accept multiple new realities as the plot unfolds. He as a character is one of the reasons why I keep coming back to this story. This tale will take you through some fantasy driven adventures from being hit by a fire truck, body swapping with his best friends husband, and the realization he has to come to terms with not only himself but to his estranged best friend as well. This story is worth the read, and worth the reread if your anything like me.

This is going to be one hell of a story. I remember the pink triangles, just barely I was only like 5 or 6 when this stuff really started going down in the late 80's. My dad tried to shield me from it, but I saw it anyway.
-
On the surface everything looks fine, just like Mount Vesuvius right before it blew up and buried Pompeii. Yeah this isn't going to be good.

Aww what an amazing birthday present, no Roger. Kidding, Buck is an amazing gift. I'm fifth generation Texan, horses scare me and the thought of boots make me break out in hives. My Uncle's horse used to terrorize me because she liked doing it. They are crafty creatures lol. But as I get older, the more I want to try stuff I wrote off as 'nope' as a kid.
-
Now it gets 'complicated.' Also why are mini-golf attendants so anal retentive? Just because I accidently hit the ball so hard once it flew over the arcade building and into the north bound lanes of the freeway once doesn't seem like something someone should get uptight about.

I have never been, it's a goal one day to go, specially to see the Tor. Hell just to see if I feel anything magical if nothing else.
-
You are absolutely correct. I also do a lazy roux bits of dairy, mixed with whatever cheese i have in the fridge heated in a microwave, then i just dump the mix and the powder in with the macaroni. If I'm feeling it, I'll throw in a small shot of spicy barbeque sauce for a twang. It's not perfect but is great when you have a 5am mac and cheese craving. I actually can cook, I'm just extremely lazy sometimes.

First of all I love how blunt Galen is, I'm growing into that personality as I get older. Second, another kiss, that chicken is looking more likely. So I totally had a feeling about the title. The legends of King Arthur and Merlin have always been a guilty pleasure of mine, ever since I was a kid. Naturally seeing 'The Hollow Hills,' as a title sparked my curiosity and it's amazing the connection is there. And we come back to the boyfriend, who is out of town a lot. He can totally stay that way, I won't mind.
