    Chapter 49

What wonderful surprises and shocks in that pit of vipers the Russian court is ! Granger eventually made an unexpected lady friend and made gold out of dross. I hope his meeting with the new Tsar goes very well and a decent treaty can be worked out smoothly and quickly. You seemed to have solved some key problems facing Granger : finding a way to create or at least begin to create peace between Britain and Russia and getting Granger and his party a path safely and quickly out of Russia. Perhaps, Granger can arrive in the vicinity of Copenhagen in time to assist Lord Nelson in his attack. Granger has useful knowledge about the harbor, Danish fleet and Crown Prince. I wonder how Panin will be able to prevent Granger's reputation from being impaired ( as he promised )and how the new Tsar will keep his strong willed mother under control. Thanks for an interesting chapter that makes me want to read lots more.

    Chapter 47

I can feel Granger will be at see within two chapters. Will Granger end up with Nelson at the Battle of Copenhagen? His winning the support of the new Tsar should be important, too. Admiral Parker was in charge of the battle of Copenhagen. Admiral Nelson ignored his superior's order to disengage and lead the winning fight. The phrase "turn a blind eye" came from this incident. Nelson is said to have put his telescope up to his blind eye, turned in the direction of Parker’s flagship, and allegedly said: Nelson knew the battle would go his way, and even though some of his ships did obey the disengage order, most of the frigates did not. The battle began to turn heavily in favor of the British, with most of the Danish ships’ guns too heavily damaged to return fire. Denmark would be forced into an alliance with the British against Napoleonic France and received protection from Russia. For his actions, Nelson was made a viscount, and Parker was recalled to England, where he was stripped of his Baltic Sea command

    Chapter 47

Wow, Granger had sex with Pavel more than once and them with the well endowed Tsarevich. Tough , confining things keep happening and Granger finds ways to win friends and very pleasing sex partners. He has had sex with two imperial family members. the Tsarevich and his mother and we know which one he really enjoyed. The soon to be new Tsar will have good thoughts about Granger which could help him, Daventry and Britain. Granger made a powerful disturbance, as requested, and must have eased the transition to a coup that has to succeed. It would be terrible if Tsar Paul sent Granger to his death in Siberia. Winkler has truly been a lifesaver for Granger and the Tsarevich. Thanks for an interesting, colorful chapter that mixes court intrigue, friendship, smart actions and Granger's powerful sexual nature. You have laid a fascinating groundwork for a new Imperial leadership and belter foreign relations. Won't Granger and Daventry be very happy and on their way home soon with their mission accomplished--even if it has to be kept secret in England?

    Chapter 46

Great idea that Panin was the author of the forged letter. He would have had access to Whitworth's stationary and past letters so he could be in a good position to have a new letter forged. He just would not know of Whitworth's new stationary or that Granger would have a copy of a real signed letter from Whitworth so this new letter could be shown to be a forgery. Panin must be highly skilled in survival at court and as Machiavellian as Talleyrand, another foreign minister who Granger knows. Having the focus on a putative threat from Granger would likely free the real plotters from observation.

    Chapter 46

Wonderful chapter. Granger will not be going to prison. He can await the coup and can have a close view of what happens at the palace. He might be able to give up to date information to Daventry who would want to know where the Tsar was located at critical times. The Tsar has likely made a mistake giving Granger access to more personal information about the Tsar. Granger's conducted a fact based brilliant defense ( he was innocent after all). He will be settled in the palace with the Tsar and his servants who also ca to help keep him informed. He is likely not subject to arrest likely for the presen . He is able to talk to the court and military officers so he is free to that extent . I hope the Tsar's wife does not want him in her bed again. I hope friendly Russian nobles support him in the palace. Daventry and he can speak now when he visits the court. I think Granger can look back on this when things quiet down and feel he did his duty and upheld his honor by staying and standing his ground.

    Crisis

I also think up new story lines--Chris interviewing for college hiding his elf nature with resulting un satisfied faculty and other problems, Chris fighting a demon general out of Yemen and learning his and Nomir's ancestors fought the "devils' before when they lived among the tribes and are welcomed back, or maybe Chris attends an Elf university and complications ensue. The most soulful word after a story is "abandoned." I saw that after a dkstories final chapter on a large , well received 3 many chapters part story. He ended it only 3 chapters into his third part with the hero mage , Worthington Michael Sinclair, being killed by his uncle or his arch nemesis dark mage and demons erupting across the US. All seemed lost since the hero was a bit like Chris--always winning and saving the day for mankind and destroying the demons and demon lord in the end after fierce battles. The only way I could have seen a resolution was that the chapter was a dream that was meant to warn the hero. I don't know the author's backstory--maybe he was tired or just fed up or hated his story which became a burden. There is no predicate laid for Chris to go away and live in the elf plane or die. There is no signal for a pending "abandoned" label. I read enough stories from authors that send out a chapter every two-three months. It must help fit the creative writing process demands with the priorities of every day life. We truly miss knowing how Chris grows and wins.

    Chapter 19

Great turn of events. I did not see that coming.
  9. I like the view that Seamus is into Matt, but can't express himself properly--yet. They aren't able to read each other or easily communicate. Something important in a while will happen to change how they see each other, I suspect. I am glad to know the story is completed and chapters are being released every 3-4 days. This is a delightful, appealing story. Some authors aren't as serious and considerate. You have a supportive, interested audience and easily earn our respect and attention by what you write and how you go about it. Thank you.

    Chapter 45

“So as it stands, if I must be a martyr, I will be a martyr,” Granger said, perhaps a big melodramatically. George's high character and resolve to do his duty is being tested and he stands firm in the face of the Tsar's potential wraith. He can only remain in St Petersburg. What a fascinating tale of the reasons behind the problems of the great nations involved You have composed a dramatic, pessimistic, continuously troubling and epic turn of events for Granger and Daventry in Russia. The grand affairs of state touch upon and are played out through the lives of these men and it is very painful and ominous. Was Granger's mail really intercepted or was the item counterfeit? Will the Tsar act soon in anger and imprison them? Will The Tsar's assassination be in time to save Granger and Daventry? This was a welcomed chapter. I can feel the conclusion of this segment is not far away.
  11. A puzzling relationship is not getting clearer. Seamus is a lifesaver for Matt and the baby. Seamus likes the baby and puts up with lots of hassles. Did he have or want younger siblings ? I agree Seamus is not explaining himself. Any guess at this point on his reasoning or motivations or mental health status would be unfounded and likely wrong. You are keeping me interested in finding out the answers to Seamus and any possible relationship with Matt.
  12. This is a good hearted, appealing story with interesting characters, drama, resilience, decency and a promising story line. You can easily like all the people connected to the coffee shop. Matt is a wonder and moves on under real stress making lemonade out of lemons. The baby is a treasure. Unless other hot guys are introduced in future chapters, It seems like Matt and Seamus will move along in a fog and misread or misinterpret each other till they have an "aha!" moment and realize they really, really like each other. I am sure there will be ups and downs and enough complications to make the story even more delightful. Bravo for a story that makes you smile and not fear what bad will happen in the next chapter.

    Chapter 44

Listening to the internal reasoning and debates between Granger and the Swedish Ambassador and the Tsarevich is fascinating. Granger is wise to be skeptical but to not discount fully what truths and possible rumors are told to him. I would be skeptical that his mail will not be read by others. I did not realize how at risk Britain was and how important the mission of Daventry and Granger is turning out to be. You have made both of them potentially powerful, unheralded so far, key historical figures for George III and England's future. George and Daventry are not safe from the present Tsar as of now but larger issues , including his impending assassination, should change his position for the better in Russia. I hope the Tsarevich learns from Granger and doesn't pursue his father's plans in the Baltic. George is a formidable, uncommonly successful captain in the Royal Navy at sea and at court This story line enables him to put his charm, skills and sexual charisma in service of his county as a naval diplomat and skilled court player and seemingly effecting great powers decisions at the highest levels. I would suggest that Granger is showing himself fit for higher command and promotion where he would have to show an ability to think in broader terms for more units. He won't like it but in a while he will no longer be a frigate captain, assuming he leaves Russia safely. I bet he will shine. I wonder what the reaction to his service be when he returns to London. Will part of it need to be kept secret?

I hope life becomes less complicated for you and you find the time to regain your inspiration when you are ready. I join with your other fans wishing you the best. I see on your author cover page-- https://gayauthors.org/author/gabz2000/--the words "Temporary Hold"

    Chapter 43

What a fascinating, interesting, complex chapter that satisfyingly advances the main plot arcs with pathos, military strategy, historical forces and new alliances, mystery, romance and lust. Granger shows he is very human, loved, trusted and still at the center of the action even though he is not commanding his ship. This news of the potential invasion of India and the increased worth of India as an opium grower shakes things up and looks like it will advance the timing of the plot against the removal/death of the current Tsar. What does the Swedish ambassador want with Granger? What will any letters transmitted by the Countess tell Granger? Will we learn of the reaction in England of Granger's absence and any effort to rescue him ? Will Granger meet the heir Tsar's apparent who had expressed interest in seeing Granger--to talk about his travel around the world? I can't wait to read the next chapter
  16. scrubber6620

    Chapter 20

'But they weren’t just going to let me go. I had to hope that there was something I could do that would lead me to an answer that would resolve my precarious situation." He has advanced beyond thinking of his survival and wonders about his future. He is aware that his situation is precarious. Will he be kept someplace as a zoo animal after he has been studied on the ship? What is his future? Does he know too much? Does he really have a chance of going back home or to a home ship or will he not be allowed any contact with his home and be left on a habitable planet or kept on the alien ship?
  17. What a roller coaster turning day for Vincent and the crew. He surprised everyone and himself. Vincent acted beyond expectations and normal limits. He could perform magic as a wolf and in his hybrid form. He became a hybrid too soon to easily control it and then did take it under control faster than expected with the help of Cyrus and Mason. What a wild ride! Questions--How will Vincent continue to increase the control of his hybrid? What does the mysterious marking on his leg mean? What is he planning for Ty? Will the connection to Bol be revealed further and better explained? Is Vincent going to be figuring out how to fight his enemy with better training from his friends?

    Chapter 42

Question about this story and the actual history---- So far this story creatively adds characters to history, but can I anticipate the plot will in future chapters follow what actually happens? I first learned Tsar Paul I was killed in this chapter so I read more about it online. "At the beginning of his reign Paul was naturally suspicious of potential enemies, so he built a castle in the center of St. Petersburg (St. Michael’s castle), which he believed would be safe and impregnable, so he spent almost all of his time there. That castle turned out to be a trap, however, and on March 12, 1801 the conspirators - noble officers from his palace guard led by Peter von der Palen, the governor of St. Petersburg - broke into Paul’s room. They brutally beat him and finally choked him with a scarf. The next morning, his son was crowned Alexander I. " Is this story going to proceed staying within basic outline of the events in the historical record? If so, the hostages will not be held for a long period and George can return to the sea.
  19. scrubber6620

    Chapter 42

A delightful chapter . George did his unpleasant duty and found out more than he expected. Hostages--hmmm It fits. I can't wait to see how they get out of Russia. Will the Tsar need to be overthrown first? To advance the possibilities of a release, I expect George needs to see the Tsar's son who asked him to see him at some point Thank you for a wonderful and surprisingly early chapter than ends the year in an intriguing and thought provoking way. I am looking forward with renewed interest to what you create next.

    Crisis

BTW-wouldn't it be possible to get a fix on Chris' location by a searching beam or type of signal like radar being sent back from at least two locations where the spell hit? The intersection would be where Chris was located. So if two demon sites cooperated, Chris could be hit by return fire or even if they didn't cooperate he could get a visit from demons who moved along the path of the returned signal. I am glad Chris first set up his protective shield around the ship. A fight might come sooner rather than later. A 65 layer spell might call forth a serious demonic response.
  21. This is a feel good, delightful yearend chapter with lovely experiences, a great hunt, strengthening friendships, love in bloom and love developing .The truck ride for Vincent felt good to me, too. You added some real worry with the evil mage considering Vincent as still not a serious opponent who could defeat him and wondering mysteriously if he is the one( Is this connected to what Bol acknowledged). Their upcoming battle must be a defining, cataclysmic event with finally things explained, When others learn about Bol's concern will they be able to help Vincent be batter prepared? Will the panda with his lightening power add unexpected resources or training for Vincent? Thanks for an enjoyable chapter. I can't wait to read more of what you write. Good Luck with your new story!

    Crisis

Great cliffhanger--the next chapter will be awesome, I am sure-You have our hopes up Chris has to defeat the general{s} and he will fight with all his power and may even gain more power and spells as needed to be victorious Someone more powerful is looking out for him? So soon others will join in the fight, Chris will be tested and Chris could learn more helpful info about the flow and demons What an exciting year end chapter !

    Secret Admirer

"Romance. Spellmanship. Slash smut. Riveting relationship drama" Glad to see you have found the secret admirer with the potential of the so far missing element--romance. I hope they work out since Philkin needs a better alternative than Rod and knows he does. However Two cautions : Philkin does not know his admirer and is a Slytherin partner one to worry about? Perhaps you will develop their relationship soon? I am concerned about the looming presence of Harcourt and what Rod wants next? I can dream up scenes, but I would be presumptuous and maybe too kinky and you know the real story anyway. Thanks for leaving some interesting mysteries to be worked out. You definitely are keeping my attention and I appreciate your honesty about your set limits
  24. Great News--Thanks
  25. Oh Boy--another dominant in Philkin's path--is he that easy to read and so willing to play a sub role right now as he is just figuring out who he is and what he wants ? Rod is not as fixed on Philkin as Philkin is fixed on Rod, it seems. This new teacher option of new adventure in your terms is a surprise. Philkin is now given up by his ex and Rod is not paying him attention. He must want a new sexual option since he is alone. I had expected Rod to monopolize his new toy, Philkin , with more master like actions. He might add a chastity cage to Philkin to keep him always under control. Or since he noticed Philkin like doing sex in front of others or so Rod thought, then he might transport Philkin to an adult arcade so he could be unknown and remove his clothes and make him a sex toy for any and all comers. His cock and ass could be thrust through the glory hole and guys could be invited in to suck and fuck Philkin in his private booth. Rod could fuck him or make him suck his cock in their shared private booth when his ass and cock were being used by the other side of the gloryhole. Philkin could be tied up and forced to wear a mask in the arcade or at another location and guys who are Rod's friends could fuck him. Philkin could be forced to wear costumes. Lots of ideas could be developed into dom-sub play with Philkin taken down his sub path even farther by Rod. Will any new sex play be forthcoming with Rod ? Am I reading too much into this set of statements by Philkin when analyzing his teacher Harcourt----- "He was cool, even if never lenient. I could tell nothing would fool him, he knew how teenaged minds worked and under those dark eyes I'd just obey. Serious, occasionally witty in a dry way and arrogant – though he probably had a right to be. His brain worked fast in a way that I'd never known anyone else's to, undoubtedly why he taught here at such a young age. " Philkin has the serious hots for his handsome teacher Harcourt who knew what was happening and let nothing--like Philkin-fool him. His teacher has clearly sized him up. So, Philkin said he would obey ( his word) his hot teacher and I bet he will. Rod has primed the pump and eased Philkin into being a compliant sexual sub ready for Harcourt. Was this a plan by Rod and Harcourt or just coincidental, like the use of the phrase good boy? Two sexual masters can see a kinship. Maybe Harcourt is at the school because he has supposedly hidden love of being a master to sub young guys? We could find out soon. So far this is written with normal teenage angst and suffering. l like your story line and atmosphere-exploratory, fun, gentle, fantasy, sexual play with no hate or real, long lasting pain. You have kept things from going dark .I realize master-sun, bdsm roles can go dark Thank you for another thought provoking chapter. I remember you writing that you have a limited number of chapters to go before you more on to other works. I hope you have several more Philkin chapters left, please. You must have more to say and this story line has lots of potential
