A better, more interesting evolution than I expected. Thanks. Jonathan eventually got away after being hit on by Conner at the party and made Maddox jealous. You showed us how superficial and even more self-centered Conner is. He wants Jonathan so they could be a power couple. Jonathan doesn't yet see through Conner. He is more frustrated by Maddox. The rope tieing by Rusty had to be unnerving to Jonathan. Rusty is a surprising acting friend of Maddox who tried to help him get Jonathan. Maddox handled the untieing and coupling and transition masterfully. He let Jonathan go after he felt turned on and acted like a gentleman surprising Jonathan ---but he had mixed motives. "Well, the least he could do to protect the conquered territories was to push Jonathan to go home, as that was where no Connor was. Maddox observed with displeasure how Mother Nature’s favorite son was looking everywhere for Jonathan, asking people if they had seen him." Jonathan would not honestly answer Maddox when he was asked why he kept running away from Maddox. I suggest Jonathan needs to be honest with Maddox in the future or both guys will keep suffering. The path to get them to talk truthfully should be rocky and full of conflict. Conner will certainly be a fly in the ointment.

They are both confused. Karl is shocked and yet feeling things he did not expect. Will Karl think more about his unease and begin to change or will he bury his feelings ? George understandably acted out of a normal ( for him) need to relate to a guy who was comforting him for a long time. Karl intimate long term hugs and closeness gave George the sense he cared a lot and was sympathetic to himself in more than a standard room mate way. Both misunderstood each others feelings and motives. Now they will have to get back together in their bedroom and then we can see how they progress. Karl is very naive, but caring and concerned about George. He won't reject George as a friend. George likely will be worried when he next sees Karl. But, he will see Karl liking him and not hating him. They probably won't bring the kiss up. George hopefully realizes Karl is innocent and not a hater. Karl is still , though, an unknown quantity since he is so inexperienced. George is vulnerable as he heals. This incident could help George accept that should look outside his new home for male companionship and tomance. I don't see George staying celebate.

Well, this bloody accident could be the dramatic fulcrum point that terribly shocks and then eases George back to a healthy life. Time will tell. But can it be kept a secret ? Karl acted bravely and has carried out his promise to JoJo to save George He is bewildered but showed his inner decency and kindness. He is not a mean person. Once again, Karl gets the essence of what people are saying and wanting. George now sees Karl in a new light. I am interested to find out how they both react and interact. Karl might find a new friend to teach him English and he could feel lots better about living with the Hopkins with a happier George.

I agree with bottomguy. Robert is a very positive force for George. We now know more about him and his motivations and he is a healthy, supportive father figure for George. He can offer George a better home environment when he is released from the hospital. Karl should not drag George down and may give him some encouragement. This situation has to be confusing for Karl. No one is going to blame George when he moves back. He will need that blameless environment as he works through his issues. He must not try a suicide again. Geprge , following Robert's solution, needs a reason for living. I hope he can find it. Coming home to the Hopkins' home means George still has to live thinking primarily he is not normal and he is lost and guilt ridden over his lover's death. But he will be given a chance to figure out a reason for living and that path will be very interesting for us fans to read .

Some answers yes, but Sebastian is in deep, deep trouble facing a very strong, wiley adversary that wants him dead and his kingdom destroyed. The ending seeing Sebastion trying to find a solution single handedly is very forboding. Sebastian is intending to sacrifice himself for others. I love the character development and interchange. It is surprising that Luna Celeste is Sebastian's mother, too. I want to hear that explanation. Will the people get back to earth and will the couples be defined in a fulfilling, loving way ? Those issues are on the backburner untill Sebastian finds a solution or dies. Is Sebastian's other mother going to be still missing in action and not eventually helping Sebastian?

No wonder George left home. His choice of a great male friend would not be supported and thought unnatural. His home life would have been painful--a pleasing , insecure mother, a domineering step -father who likely did not like George as a closeted homosexual, and a younger brother who was timid and scared. JoJo loved him but was too young to be a strong comrade as he faced his parents. Inviting Carl over who spoke limited English was going to create a stressful situation. Carl seems very sensitive to people and new situations and can read them fairly well. He is an honest if naive person. He said he was not George's friend. Now after his promise to JoJo ( which he will tell George, I am sure), he will feel obligated to help George. Maybe a genuine , guileless offer of aid from a kind hearted person might begin to give George hope.

Love the character building and possible development of interesting plot lines. These guys and the munchkin are wonderful. One point about the gift--It may not be possible to hide who donated the money for the center. Will the new center get publicity? Will CJ and Owen find their pictures in the paper ? Will their be a rumor mill in the Mexican and US government that would be interested in the gift for at least goodwill purposes ? In the US a donor might do a active publicity effort to encourage others to support the same project or idea. They talked about $100, 00 as seed money. More will be needed. Will CJ and Owen be sensitive to security and kidnapping issues ?

I was dreading this chapter, but the incident and recovery were gladly skipped over. The bathroom scene would had to have been exceptionally traumatic. The family wants to support George now and afterwards and is not mad or bitter at what he did. The victim was not blamed, They want to help him recover. Good ! Carl was truly a life saver. It had to be very scary facing strange procedures and medical terms he could not comprehend. Nevertheless, he did not flinch and gave blood to George. Carl is a very decent guy. I hope Paul or the other Hopkins really become more aggressive in teaching Carl English. Maybe, George can learn Danish as he recovers and won't be able to go to his medical school for a while. George's underlying issues are not resolved. Will he accept going for professional help?

More mystery and more distrust shown. Deray's people are used to living and working among aliens so the distrust can't be natural. Is the Rinta missing and presummed lost? If so, then finding Essell alive with another alien species would be suspicious. Maybe a scientist or the hulking alien needs to come clean and tell Essell what is on their mind.

I hope Karl returns to George quickly and tries different things and is able to stop the blood flow where the cuts are. He made a good move by placing George on the floor. He will need to keep going and not let the blood send him away again or get sick. He is not trained , but he has common sense. Towels might help ? If he survives and is not brain damaged from loss of blood, George will need professional help. BTW, as a doctor in training George might know how to do a proper suicide by wrist cutting. Will he do it the right way? He started by being in warm water that will increase blood flow. As I have learned from watching TV shows--like CSI-. cuts need to go along and in the veins and deep. Some fail to kill themselves if they only cut shallowly across the veins ( but very painful anyway) and are found in time.
-
Will someone ,hopefully, find him eiither before he cuts himself or shortly after he cuts himself--or will he be found dead in a pool of his own blood ?
-
The nexxt chapter could be the critical piont. He seems ready to break---Will he give up and commit suicide or will he decide to live for now repressing his feelings?
-
I assume the Russian is not acting just to satisfy his sex drive. He is likely focused. Male and female spies use sex as a tool frequently. They will use what seems the best approach within their capabilities towards targets to win friends and sympathetic sources at least, if they can't be compromised. New and young staffer might be most naive and vulnerable--unless they are CJ and Owen and Callum. Plus, the cultivation could happen over the long term and not just at one posting if the person had a weakness for more than one partner and exotic sexual practices.

You Don’t Belong Here
scrubber6620 commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in You Don’t Belong Here
So much love separated by a felt need for duty and protection and a serious threat. People can't or won't follow their hearts. It all hurts everyone involved. Sebastian's chest pain shows time is shorter than first expected and right now solutions are needed to his chest pain, conflicted loves, finding magic and removing the real enemies and getting people into the right worlds. Will the outworlders--Kai, Milo, Tani-find ways forward since they can look at the problems with fresh eyes? -
He could be devastated in the morning--oh no

Wonderful--More good times for gay guys without serious distractions. They are fitting into the city life very easily. The dinner part was great . Their reputations are only going to get stronger and more well known. I loved Linc's story on how he mastered the Russian spy. He is a dirty player. CJ and Owen are clearly forewarned. The computer gift is a generous offer. Why not buy one and make it available to her when she visits the apartment ?

George has come to a critical point. He belives he knows why he is suffering and why his lover was killed. We know today that he is wrong but what they did was wrong by all the standards he knew. Homosexuals were jailed in England. Alan Turning the most important British scientist in WWII was put in prison for having sex with a guy. I also hope that George is on a path to self-healing. I would prefer that this story sensitively treats his new explorations and that George finds a path to survive realitically and be healthy. Is he going to be celebate ? Could he eventually find another guy that helps him heal ? I don't want him to die or find a lifeless marriage with someone he doesn't love..

I love the happy familiy and friends activities and how well they are adapting and working themselves into the community. Moving to a new country can be stressful. Owen and CJ are probably more into the local native life and developing friends/contacts than other embassy people. Speaking Spanish has to be a plus. Owen and CJ will benefit from this all and their sojurn in Mexico City will be more fulfilling and healthier. They come across as real and welcoming and worth being around. Infanta is a great find. Owen is adding his own diplomatic depth with the Australian Embassy contact and invitation. I bet Northman with be a constant minor bureaucratic pain in the ass. He doesn't like or value CJ. The Ambassador is on a different plane and wants her tenure to be successful and will rock boats. She is in favor of social contacts, turning around the US image with positive images and making a public impact. CJ ( and Owen) can help her. I wonder if CJ might eventually be transferred to a new position to better take advantage of his skills and growing contacts. BTW, I have never heard before that pozole stew first in Aztec (?) times had human body parts from human sacrifice ceremonies.Wow--I love eating it now with chicken . Thanks for adding a next chapter soon. Your story is very appealing and rightly popular.

The passion and romantic kissing were awesome. Rusty stopped them for getting naked, damn. I bet Jonathan will leave the party. But, the gossip sheet will report Maddox is in love and Jonathan like in a Shakespeare play will get the wrong idea and think he is being toyed with and not the real love interest, I have the nagging feeling that Jonathan has to tell Ray about his problematic experience with a str8 guy. Ray eventually can tell Maddox so that cock block issue will be resolved I want to read soon, please, how you get them acting passionately again.

I love the happy family and friend interactions. You added more building blocks and a point of potential conflict with CJ's boss. The news article gives them unwanted publicity beyond their low level status Others not mentioned like criminals or possible kidnappers could be paying attention looking for targets ( Owen or their daughter?) The ambassador has not been named either. He would be a high level Biden friend/donor. Maybe CJ's run in to him before and they will get along. This could rein in his immediate boss--or not. I am sure the Russian spy asssessed CJ and Owen for potential uses and vulnerabilities. They could not be corrupted by ideology. money or sex--yet. The Russian angle could get more serious and complex if the US spy people at the embassy ask CJ to keep the Russian as a professional friend and Liston wine drinker. Who knows- Yevgeny might try to see if a hot male Russian ballet dancer gets the attention of CJ or Owen. He would love to exploit that possibility and find ways to bring them together intimately ( drugged to control them while pics and vids are taken), I am sure. It would have to be contrived since CJ and Owen are too in love to cheat. A spy can be relentless in trying to get a naive asset for use so CJ and Owen will need to be extra careful. This story gets more interesting---Thanks

A downward spiral--that sounds very ominous. Dunkirk was a disaster and England was potentially subject to an invasion. To lose a great friend at the beginning of the war must be really tragic. We don't know yet how close George was to his dead friend. Time and more deaths will harden the impact of many more deaths. Stalin said one death is a tragedy--a thousand deaths is a statistic. Poor Karl needs to learn and be taught lots more English to be able to be a positive force at home--especially with Paul and George.

A new story with the two studs--hooray! This is a good venue for CJ and Owen--acting in official capacities in a Spanish speaking country. CJand Owen can be positive influences between Mexico and the US. Yep, the Russian is a threat but he is just acting as part of his normal cover business of diplomatic relations. He is looking for vulnerabilities and inside information . It's a new administration and things must be in flux. How he might try to expand any contact beyond social niceities is the issue. CJ will have to report the contact to the US embasy. They are not trained as spies and should not get into that line of work. It is dangerous. I felt a bit uneasy that the guys did not check in on their daughter. Kidnapping is a common practice in Mexico. Since CJ and Owen are wealthy , their daughter could be a target at any time.

I am struck by how this is turning into something civilized and rule bound without being a clash of worlds with the military in charge. It seems scientists and laws will dictate how the beings will relate and communicate. Essell and Garjah can explain their status and limits. They are not representing Garjah's planet. I am still concerned what Garjah's people or former rulers will do. What will the Insitute and Essell's parents have to say? Some positive steps will be helpful right now. This uncertainty adds tension. Maybe Bouncer can create a useful mood by wanting to play with the little kid.?

Sebastian seems to be misguided and not really listening to Pepin. There is danger within that helped the assassin reach Sebastian and some pushed his risky attack on the enemy. It seems that evil is lurking and the kingdom and Sebastian are facing troubles. We are still left with issues of how will some get back to earth and who will go and who will stay. What will Sebastian's mother do when she learns the truth? I hope the next chapter can give us a clearer picture and that true love is known by the right people and wins out. But, I suspect that evil will come forth faster than expected.
