A story that is not only good, but also full of goodness. Of course to say it is 'good' is a grave understatement - superb is a much more appropriate word, but didn't work as well in my first sentence.
Reading it I felt like the proverbial fly on the wall with a privileged position to partake in a portion of the characters' lives, while at the same time being entranced by their surroundings.
Summer in Ravello is drawing to a close; the cicadas and fireflies have gone and no doubt the swifts have also departed along with Claudia. She will undoubtedly return as will the swifts. We readers can but hope @James Carnarvon will also be swiftly returning us for another enchanting story in this series.
