I have never been a fan of apple products. Thus I don't have them and cannot troubleshoot the quirks they have. I can't say it is your device, but I can't duplicate it on my gadgets.

dkstories has always been able to capture and articulate political situations in his story very well, including the motivational dynamics of politically engaged people. And then spin that into an interesting plot, of course.

@Zombie I tweaked some settings in the member's group. please try again. (My issue occurred in Firefox on windows when I was doing a mass upload of CJames files, which were fairly sizable.)

It looks like it is hitting a size cap, but not telling you. I've had that happened to me as well.

The Top Stories widget has been fixed with the latest update and it has returned to the front page to work together with the Top recommended stories.

We have patched the site with the latest update. There are a handful of requested changes in this update. Story System Reputation First up, on the Authors listing, we can now sort by "Highest Story Reputation" Under an author's icon, you'll now see 2 numbers. The Green number is the Site Reputation Total. (The likes across the entire site). The number in the gray box is the Story Reputation. (This is the likes from just the stories/chapters/comments in the story system). You can now view the most popular author based on positive feedback on their story content. Story Types The next feature we've added is a new filter in the stories system to allow you to select stories of a specific size. Some special notes about "Story Type": This filter is only showing live data in the story system The titled story type is only a range of story word count as it exists at the moment you use the filter. We used the Wikipedia definition of story types while adding the last 3. Since this is live data, when an author posts new content with sufficient word count, then the story type will change. And to repeat... Story Type is number of words in the story at the moment you use the filter. Stories List for Fan Clubs There is now a way to list an authors stories in a Fan Club. This makes getting to the author's stories that much easier when you are hanging out in their Fan Club. The listing is the same as you'd see visiting the author in the Stories section. (I've gone through and added the stories list to all of the open fan clubs)

I am doing the world building work so that I can expand this story as well as the others in this shared world. I'm documenting my canon so that I don't contradict myself. It's a long process. Glad you enjoyed the story!

It's mostly there so we can flag a story that's too much for Google to handle. Despite showing copious amounts of actual porn on their own website, they treat other sites with ridiculous scrutiny. Member Only is a quite handy way to block them from seeing content. A single mention of the female chest that starts with a "t" is enough for Google to melt their snowflakes. So, a story that leans into a more Nifty end of mature should use Mature - Member Only. I'll typically flag it that way manually when I get a Google Snowflake Melt Warning.

Well, first, don't look at page count. That varies too wildly depending on how much dialog you use. Use word count instead. 3000 to 5000 words per chapter is generally good for novel. In Word, word count is displayed on the bottom left, right next to page count.

I was able to work with the programmer to find a solution. In addition to the word count selection, we'll be able to Select Story Types, which will have predefined word count brackets. Such as 0-10,000 words for Short Story. This will be part of the next release of the software. It's in beta testing currently.

The next version of stories will have public author reputation and an additional sorting option to sort by story reputation.

We will not be adding a customizable range on the front end. We had that in the past and too many people complained but it's too complicated. It's already complicated enough. I will look into preset story length categories, but that is going to take development time. The developer is working on improvements to the Recommendations page. Putting in story filters is on the list.

With the latest update to the Stories archive, you can now assign default discussion locations for both Author and Stories. This gives authors one more change for interacting with their readers. I have added FAQ entries for these two new options:
