Notifications are no longer something you can delete. The system handles that. I've updated some settings with notifications so you can make some adjustments to how you get alerts: https://www.gayauthors.org/forums/notifications/options/

Following has replaced Friend. There is no friends list any more. Not something we can control either. I complained when the company made that change and was ignored.

Just so were talking the same language here for clarification, you are trying to respond to comments. Reviews are something different now and not something you can reply to. Here is how to properly respond to comments. This works for both stories and chapters:

In the top right corner on any page at GA, there is a gray button that says “Sign Up”. Click that and follow the directions. You’ll need to supply a valid email address. As part of the registration process you will be notified via email; you must respond to the verification process, or your account will not be fully activated. Once you validate the registration, you will become a Newbie and have access to your account and be able to post on our forums. Important Note: Yahoo.com Email addresses are prohibited because Yahoo constantly blocks emails from Gay Authors.

It is free to register as a member at Gay Authors. Members have access to more stories, have less ads, can follow stories to receive notifications of new content, and can provide feedback to authors. (Feedback via reactions, comments and reviews are often the only compensation authors receive for their hard work) Optional Premium Membership has a small monthly free that provides additional stories and no ads on site.

What does it mean to follow an author? When you follow an author you will receive notifications (based on your settings) when they upload a new story or chapter. How do I follow an author? Visit the author's stories profile. (Click Authors and find your Author. Author's story profile page list all the author's stories) Click on the 'Follow' button Select how you receive notifications (if you haven't already) Uncheck the box if you don't want others to see that you follow the author Click 'Follow' How do I unfollow an author? Visit the author's stories profile Click on the 'Following' button Click on the red 'Unfollow' button
