    My Danish family

Yet another excellent chapter. I love that Jacob's parents are behind him, and Russell. And that they wanted the World tour, so Russell wouldn't have issues with Danish Immigration. I practically squealed (LOL) reading about the other set of Twins. As Scientists are discovering now, that being Gay is genetic, it's making me feel that the two "confirmed bachelors" are gay themselves. (Granted that might be my Southern side projecting there. As Confirmed Bachelor is another way ti say, "He's gay, not it the closet, but not advertising it as well.")
  2. Thanks! My search-fu wasn't working that well when I started this thread. Loving all the suggestions.
  3. There is a lot of growth for Russell in this Chapter. Plus the Gays everywhere. LOL. Flowed well, and was very good. Can't wait to read the next chapter.

    Copenhagen Blues

I know I just started reading, and there are several more chapters ahead of me. But my speculation is Russell's dad in a Major (with a capital M) Closetcase! The early signs point towards him being so. Also, I agree with what Jacob is saying about getting married so soon. Though, I completely understand why they are doing it. Interesting to note, I know someone that met their partner, and in five months were married. They are still together twenty years later.
  5. Another excellent chapter. I totally love Russ' inexperience in all things relationship, and his need to explore.
  6. Excellent start to the story. I love Russell and Jacob. Looking forward to more chapters.

    Notebook

Excellent story! Reminds me of a Den/Arlo situation I was in. Really hit me in the feels.
  8. Started reading this story around 11:00 pm at night, and instead of just one chapter, spent the whole night reading the story. The story is well written, flows well, and tells the journey of a Gay Couple, as they take care of the Nephews of one of them, after a horrible accident. The characters did come to life and became "real" as I read the story. Five stars, but would have done six if I could.
  9. I have a few ideas, but tenterhooks weren't one of them. For now... However, thank you for reading, and I'm glad you're enjoying the story.
  10. Thanks! Seems 2 of us missed that. Glad you liked the story.
  11. So disappointed with the Capitals.
  12. Thanks! I'm doing Character Profiles in my Blog, and the first one on Aeris is posted. Planning on doing one for Jules as well.
  13. There is a thread of Hope, that I can confirm. Just remember the old saying, "It's always darkest, before the dawn."
  14. My bad. I wrote a response yesterday, but must not have clicked the button to add the response. Well, I am happy you are enjoying the story, and the world that Aeris is based in. As I mentioned a couple of times now, this story is loosely based on my RPG adventures. In this installment, the last section, where Aeris gets kidnapped, actually happened to one of my Pen and Paper (PnP) characters. He would always get mixed up in something, and end up separated from the rest of the group. I hope you enjoy the next part, cause it's gonna be a doozy!
  15. “How much longer do I have, doctor?” Marcus asked as he looked over to Doctor Morgan as he walked in. “Not much longer, just got a prostate exam to do for your physical, and then you can go back to your day,” the Doctor replied with a soothing tone. “Do we have to? You know I don’t like getting those.” “Unfortunately, yes; with both your Brother and Father developing Prostate Cancer, you’re at a much higher risk than normal. Your blood work, came back fine, and the MRI shows you’re c
  16. This is a Cuban Style Black Bean, and White Rice recipe that I've made/had a few times. I got this from another forum, I used to frequent, and I hope you enjoy it as well. Ingredients: 2/3 cup chopped onion 2/3 cup chopped green bell pepper 1-1/4 tsp. chopped garlic 1 tsp. ground cumin 3/4 tsp. dried thyme leaves 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper 3/4 bay leaf 2 tsp. olive oil 2/3 cup rice 10 ounces canned diced tomatoes 10 ounces canned black beans, rinsed and drained 1-1/3 cups water 2 tsp. apple cider vinegar 3/4 tsp. salt (optional) 1/4 tsp. black pepper Procedure: 1. Sauté onion, bell pepper, garlic, cumin, thyme, crushed red pepper, and bay leaf in olive oil until onion is tender, about 5 minutes. 2. Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, until rice is tender, about 20 minutes. 3. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
  17. Missed it as well for the Brackets, but I have high hopes that the Washington Capitals will beat the Pens in seven. As a Lightning Fan, I'm happy Boston and Toronto went out in the first round. Couldn't have happened to two better teams.
  18. Chapter 9: The flight to the surface of the planet was delayed but without any major incidents. Aeris wasn’t sure if Doctor Thomas had purposely stalled them, or being overly cautious. After the Prometheus made orbital geo-sync, Ops reported a surge of an unidentifiable energy source coming from the central tower of the target city. After reviewing, Doctor Thomas reported it was the same energy source encountered on Vargus, and “was nothing to be concerned about.” Still, Aeris couldn’t shak
  19. *coughs* Thanks.
  20. I have a pity NF account. aka Mooching off of other Family Members. I find People If Raid After Time Is Nothing Good, is fairly popular to get hard to find shows. Not that I would advocate such a thing.
  21. Yes, along with a bunch of others. There's an international one, I think I might watch later after I finish bingeing on House of Cards.
  22. Thank you. Next installment is almost done. Just need to polish it some, and get a Beta/editor to give it a once over.
  23. Keep them coming, please. I'm keeping a list. Saw Closet Monster last night. I would recommend it.
  24. @droughtquake I checked for Festival in my area, and Tampa has one, in October. Seems I got my Fall plans started. @BlindAmbition and @droughtquake I will add that movie to the list. I just found Akron and got that set to watch soon. Also, I found that Short Film thread. I'll check those out as well. All very true. Also, one part of the Gay Community I dislike. All the emphasis on Gym Pack Rats, and shaming anyone that doesn't spend 5 hours a day in one.
  25. I am open to any suggestions, or recommendations you might have. I'm not one of those GLBT snobs, that has to have Gay this, and Gay that, but sometimes, you want to see two guys in a good storyline romance, comedy, action, etc.
