  1. Myr, thank you for posting this, and for explaining the tech behind the system. My only concern is this. I've found when you copy/paste from Word to the Editor, and then strip the formatting, that when you publish it ends up as one large block of text. There is no spacing between chapters, no natural breaks between lines. Frankly, it's hard to read and looks ugly. My question is this, what can we do to prevent that? I'm following all the formatting guidelines, and other rules you all have set forth. In my word docs, I use the same standard you all ask for the 2018 Summer Contest. They are as follow: Even after doing this, Copy/Paste and stripping, it ends up being a wall of text. What am I doing wrong? The computer is using Windows 10, with Microsoft Office 2007 with Service Pack 3 and the Grammarly Extension. I use Firefox for my Browser, again with the Grammarly Extension, and all adblockers and other extensions turned off for the Gay Authors website.
  2. A short, but fun, Christmas tale. Great to read to perk the spirit up, at anytime of the year.

  4. Another fantastic Christmas tale, from one of GA's great Authors. A story that is filled with happiness, and joy. A surprise ending that was a delight.

    Apple Green

Was a very interesting tale, based on Pagan lore about the Greenman. I enjoyed it and thought it was well written.

A fantastic and fun story about two Elves who are roommates on a glorious Christmas Project, for the Big Man. I highly suggest people read this.

That was a fantastic story, Sam. Would love to see more of Tligg and Craagen.
  15. I avoid First-Person perspectives (though I've posted a few on GA, as practice pieces), mainly because I hate writing in First-Person. This is one of the reasons why. I have an idea what my characters look like, and First-Person is too restrictive and limiting to express it, without resorting to the "mirror trope" or the "dialogue trope" that Graeme just exampled. Both are over-played.
  16. tim, the Birthday Poem was gorgeous. You can tell how much you value dughlas' friendship in it. Splendid. As for the second one. It strikes a chord with me as well. It feels like an author who has found their story was taken by another. I don't know the circumstances behind why you wrote it, but I'll stand behind you in support. (Also, the imagery of the elves, was cool.)

    Another Year

Excellent poem Mac. Yeah, I was wondering just yesterday, how time flew so fast this year, and what did I do with it. Your poem made me reflect on that.
