    Dragon

“What are you doing!?!?” Honsol called out, questioningly. He stood at the top of the riser, strapped to a cross, and looked down upon the gathering of mages, as they continued to chant in their arcane language. Honsol was trapped, and he had walked into it willingly. The wind blew around him, and under his wings; his body sleek and graceful, with his silver scales shining in the dying light of the sun. This silver dragon made its flight, as elegant as an eagle, across the sky at a pace
  2. I got the free PDF version. It was good. There are lots of good free PDFs on that site that can spark all manner of creativeness.
  3. Thanks, Moggie. I'm glad you liked the story. Will be more in the future, once others are done.
  4. @Myr I can't find it now, but did you once post that BBC code could be used to do Bold and Italics? Are they still available to us? Example: Bold = [/b ] Italic = [/i ] (without the space in both cases in the second bracket)
  5. Thank you, Reader. I'm glad you enjoyed, and Evie and Jeff will return. That I will agree with. I think they just became part of a larger universe.
  6. Prompt #640 talked to me... https://www.gayauthors.org/story/bhopper2/my-shorts-and-flash-fictions/19
  7. “Shit!” Jeff exclaimed as he looked down at the argent man in front of him. He had heard a commotion in the backyard near the storage shed and went to look. He spotted the man, leaning against the shed, breathing heavily, and looking like he was about to pass out. The smell of sweat and smoke clung to the man, as he approached him. His uniform was badly damaged and caked in soot. “Sanctuary…,” his guest said, before passing out completely. Sighing some, Jeff sprung into action. He look
  8. Get yourself a good writing team. People that will encourage you, Beta Read for you, do Editing. They can be your coaches. You're getting some coaching now. This forum was designed for us to help each other out. To encourage, to provide advice and feedback. Stories can be posted for only Club Members to see as well, on the Testing Grounds. I think Myr would love for us Authors to start talking and interacting with each other more in this club than what we already are doing.
  9. I have this issue as well, and @MacGreg shared with me a link to some great advice: https://ryanlanz.com/2017/11/14/what-to-do-when-you-have-too-many-story-ideas/ Also, if you look in this club, there is a couple of different threads, that approach this topic from different angles. My advice. Don't worry about. If you can focus on one story, do so. If you can't, then write which one you feel drawn too. If you absolutely need to create a new story. Save a few chapters before posting it, that way, it may be a bit more complete.
  10. Website field on your Profile page populates there, and I had a wiki for my SciFi story that I had linked there for a while. Though, I think it would be cool to be able to link to other things, like a Forum Topic, or a GA blog.

    Down Time

Lots of virtual hugs, tim. Jared Padalecki, who plays Sam Winchester on Supernatural, fights Depression as well. He has several sayings, he does as part of a mantra, that I've adopted a few of. Always Keep Fighting Love Yourself First Those are the two I follow.
  12. I know there are limits on the Story Description page as well (I've hit them a time or two, lol). Is this the same limit? Meaning 1000 characters, and if possible, is there a widget that can show the limit and what is used?

    Writing Habits and Stuff

I'm cool with the Amazon Links to products. To me, anything that helps GA out is great. I wish you well in relocating, and the hassles that will arise out of that. Did it a couple of times, across state lines, and it's a pain. BUT, looking forward to more stories...
  14. I would love this feature. With the Worldbuilding that I've done for Guardian Force Saga and The Fairie (see my blog), I would love to have this feature. I am defiantelly going to be adding a lot more to the Fairie world once The Half-Elven Warlock is finish. Not to mention your PsiCorp stories, could benefit from it. I like this as well. Great idea!

    Fortune Cookie

    Thanks, Agent D.
  16. We'll be here when you get back. See you then.
  17. "Our first and last love is ---self-love." Gavin read out loud from the fortune cookie paper. With a snicker, he added, “In bed.” They were in the front room of their new spacious three-bedroom Manhattan apartment, near Central Park. Moving boxes half-unpacked sat around the room, where they took a break to have some lunch. Kyle shook his head with a groan and went back to eating his Chinese take-out. He looked up at his husband, and couldn’t help but to smile at him. “So, still playin
  18. Exactly! Though some minor disagreement on the Free Speech part. According to the Federalist papers, and the journals that the Founders wrote, Free Speech was supposed to be protected at all times from everyone, and countered by someone else's Free Speech. It's why they encouraged Discussions and Healthy Debate. To quote a TV Political Pundit Greg Gutfield, "Freedom of Speech is Ugly, and that's the Beauty of it." By all means, if someone finds my works, offensive, I expect them to either counter it with remarks or just read something else. I like to call it, "voting with my wallet." If I get bad service somewhere, I go somewhere else. Same applies to stories. In the realm of Free Online stuff. Bad reviews, and negative reactions to show my input, works. Tolerance is a two-way street. Also, let me apologize if my tone in my last post came across as harsh. It was not my intent.

    Refuge

Powerful. When I first read it, my first reaction was "Holy S***, this is good." I read it another three times. It was great Mac and tim. I look forward to any more you two may write.
  21. I'll agree to disagree with you. While your point does have some merit, please note that in the USA we do have freedom of speech and expression. All speech is protected, and frankly already normalized. There is no carve out for so-called "Hate Speech." If one doesn't like what a story is saying, or what someone is saying, or a joke that someone told... then that person should read something else, or change the station on the t.v., radio, internet site, etc. I won't go further into the political realm, as this topic is not in the Pit. I'll end by saying this. It is NOT my responsibility to temper my writings, my artwork, my projects because someone can't handle opposing views and opinions. I write for entertainment, and entertainment only. I follow the site's rules on content, and will only do warnings on specific content as required. Such as Rape and Incest.
  22. Interesting prompts this week.
  23. Thank you, Myr. Sorry to be a pain in the backside. As an Example: https://www.gayauthors.org/story/comicfan/blue-brownie-and-wedding-white/1 If I recall correctly, Comicfan mentioned the formatting of the story, was because of the stripping. Awesome. Thank you.
