A lot of FL natives I know are the same, when it comes to the beach. Much easier to go swim in a pool, and a lot less crowded. Great as a kid, Teen, or YA but older, I like my comfort too much. AC makes FL bearable most of the Year. My thermostat is set at 75 right now, and I don't touch it. 75 is considered a Heatwave over in the UK, and that's perfect weather for me. LOL

Since moving into the apartment, I'm finding cooking for 1 person hard. I eat leftovers, but when I make enough for 4 meals, eating the same thing gets old fast. Sadly, my dinner has been turning into frozen meals you can pop in the microwave, or ultra simple stuff, like grits, eggs, toast. PB&J sandwiches too. I've looked into Factor_ and other meal subscriptions and not really cost effective for the long term.

I want a donut now. *Sad Face* The Doc says I need to eat a bit healthier now, and while I'm starting to, damn it's hard.

I've recently been diagnosed with ADHD and a touch of Autism, which went undiagnosed until 2023/24 and because of that the mental health issues I was diagnosed with stem from those two things not being treated. I'm taking a half day tomorrow, and unplugging. End of Fiscal Year, and making sure all my billing and non-billing grants are accounted for. I started on 11/04/2024 and inherited several grants in January 2025. Turns out the last accountant manager we had was a micromanager and didn't tell us all the grants we handled. So my nice and easy 10 grants turned into 27, with the bulk having not been touched since last July. I've gotten 24/27 done, and for the last three I am literally looking for pennies.
