  1. Thanks for reading Chris! Clipping all of those loose strings, or at least trying to. Yes, I think the settlement was fair. Not too much to be over the top, but well within the scope of possible payouts for a case such as this.
  2. Thanks for pointing that out! When I first wrote this chapter, I sourced a website that had Slurs in various languages, and Fascima was listed as a slur meaning Fa**ot in Sicilian. Can't find the page now, so I can't verify it now. The Italian meaning seems to be a variant of Fascist. EDIT: Seems the Italian word is Frocio.
  3. Over the course of Tuesday and Wednesday, Adam and Robert concluded their business in Boston. Tuesday was a meeting with the law firm that their Florida family court lawyer, Adam’s cousin Carol Smith, contracted with for the lawsuits against the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Turner estate. They went over the evidence and testimony that Adam and Robert would give at the hearing. The father and son spent most of the day doing so. Duncan and the other three boys spent time at the spa’
  4. Thanks, drsawzall! I'm snickering over here cause the next chapter is titled, Smith/Turner vs the Commonwealth of Mass.
  5. Thanks, Daddy Dave, for reading and the comment. With the stuff going on behind the scenes, I can say these couples in this extended family are there by fate. So, yeah, they aren't acting 100% like teens, but there is some reason behind it.
  6. Thanks again, Chris. Yeah, it was a shitty thing she did. But it led to Robert and Adam meeting later on. I think that may have been a good thing. But things are explained a bit more later on.
  7. Thanks again for reading and the comment, drsawzall! Didn't add too many places, I kinda wish I had.
  8. Thanks for the feedback, Chris! Yup. I know it would suck to have to leave all my friends behind if I had to uproot myself as quickly as it was for Rob.
  9. Thanks for reading and commenting, drsawzall! I hope I'm doing Boston some justice. This was the product of a lot of research, and time to formulate the scenes correctly. Also, DAMN! that is a lot of money for a cask.
  10. Thanks for reading drsawzall! I'm glad you've like the story so far.
  11. “Dad, I thought you said they ransacked the house?” Robert looked around the front room of the house. “I know you had someone secure the place, but nothing looks missing to me nor broken.” “It wasn’t in here.” Adam put his arm around his son’s shoulders. “They confined it to Michelle’s room, her home office, and your bedroom.” Robert trembled. “Did they… what did they do?” Duncan, Giles, Jeremy, and Travis moved further into the house to give father and son space to talk. “As
  12. Good Morning, DiC'ers. *Dios head in. Waves. Dips head back out*
  13. Thanks for reading, Daddy Dave! Yeah it is. As much as I didn't want to repeat myself, with a "house cleaning" like I did with Jeremy in the previous story, I had to do so to a lesser extent in order to tie up some plot points, which will be in the next chapter.
  14. It was 10:00 am, Monday, June 25, 2018; Adam drove the rental six-passenger SUV towards Robert’s old house in Arlington, MA. Duncan sat in the front passenger seat, with Robert and Giles in the middle row, and Jeremy and Travis sat in the back. A Boston radio station was on and played a mix of 70s, 80s and 90s music. “Rob, where did you used to live?” Travis broke the silence. “In Arlington, north of Cambridge.” There was sadness in his voice. Giles reached over and took his hand.
  15. Yes he was, and at the end of Jeremy's story, the gave him a "welcome to the neighborhood offering" too. Stuffed Grape Leaves, a Goody Goody Butterscotch Pie, and a 6-pack of 25'ers.
  16. Well Erin is Greek, and they do say to "Beware of a Greek baring gifts." All because of that Trojan Horse deal. Thanks for reading, IBEX. It is appreciated.
  17. Thanks, Daddydavek! Santa Claus indeed! A little off topic, I got the nickname "Daddy Duncan" from your member name.
  18. Thanks Chris! Yeah, that was a major thing Erin did. But he has the funds for it. Wish I did. LOL
  19. Thanks, Daddydavek! Yeah, I feel bad for Jeremy. Finding out he has a half brother, and that he's autistic. But he's a strong guy, he'll get through it.
  20. Thanks, Chris!! I'm glad you liked it.
  21. Thanks, JayT. I hope you enjoy this story!
  22. Sunday, June 24, 2018, started off with a screeching of metal on metal as the train came to a stop in Fayetteville, North Carolina at 8:08 am. The noise, along with the jarring of the stop, woke up the traveling party. It wasn’t the first screech, bump, jar, or shimmy which happened throughout the night at the different stops along the route but was the first breaking that was hard enough to rouse everyone at the same time. All six men met up in the dining car for breakfast. Adam, Duncan, G
  23. It was Saturday, June 23, 2018, the departure day for the summer trip, so Adam Smith and his son Robert Turner could conclude their business in Boston. A last-minute change saw two of the teens not able to go. With plans revamped, along with transportation and lodging, all that was left was for the remaining six to meet up. ~.~ The Jacks house, on Davis Islands, was in a flurry of activity. Bryce Jacks went to check on his nephew-turned-adopted-son, Travis Jacks, as he packed for the t
  24. Adam Smith and his son Robert Turner head to Boston, MA to settle their business with the Commonwealth.
