I hope to one day see the Redwoods, but that won't be for a while. Beautiful imagery you paint.
  2. Thanks, everyone. I'm still alive and kicking. Passing through.
  3. Two things: 1. Really proud of my brother for making Signature. Congrats again, tim. 2. I'm going AFK for several days, and won't be on GA during this time.
  4. Congratulations, my Brother! Well deserved!
  5. Thanks, AC.
  6. Sounds like a good idea. Hmmm. Where can I get some?
  7. Thanks, Chris!
  8. Farewell to the Light of my world When tears came, where were you? Loneliness is my lot in life, Punishment for my soul. But why am I being punished? What have I done to you? We have one specific moment, And mine passed in silence.

    Rhyming Couplets

Poetry is like a foreign language to me, that I can understand when reading it, but writing is a whole-another story. That said, I like both of these. With Memorial day last weekend the symbol of the Poppy is very timely. I remember someone giving me a paper poppy on a bendy metal stem to wear, one memorial day past. I can't remember who, but I remember the flower and what it was a symbol of. The second poem, gives me a visual of a couple who have a daughter that is coming into her own. Perhaps its a sweet 16 party that is being held for her, or even a wedding. In either case the parents are proud of what their daughter has become.

    Death's Door

This is a fantastic poem my Brother. Took me a few times of reading it to see the bigger picture of it. The poem itself is a journey, one that is very familiar to us in the GLBT community, and perhaps we've all have felt. Your last stanza is the takeaway for me. Making sure people you care about know you love them. Even if they are thousands of miles away, and you have no chance of ever meeting in person. Again, this is fantastic, tim, and love ya lots my Brother.

    Both of You

That's a damn good idea. *Goes to make some notes, and read previous poems*

    Both of You

Beautiful, simply beautiful. I feel like you have captured the spirit of loving two people at once. I get the image of a man standing on a forest path divided into two paths. Other hikers are urging him to choose one. However, our traveler sees a hidden third path, and that is the route he takes.
  13. Thanks Mac. Same amount of classes and learning, but I think it shaves off about six or eight months. Stay safe, Mac. I've done that a ton of times. Love watching storms, and seeing the natural power of nature.
  14. It's a straight through continuous program. Only breaks are for the winter holidays, and spring break. I don't mind, cuts down on time.
  15. *waves as he passes through* Answering PMs and emails only for the week... My Freshman academic year ends on June 3. My Sophomore academic year starts June 4.
  16. Later, Bro. Safe flight to her.
  17. You already know I love it! Same here. I can't wait for tim to finish. tim my Brother, you got another hit on your hands.
  18. When tim first asked me to read this piece, it made me question what I believed. While I don't consider myself Christian, I respect those who hold those beliefs. This piece to me is an look in on the nature of duality. Good/Evil, Light/Darkness, Heaven/Hell... they are each two sides of the same coin. tim brilliantly brings that duality in focus, and makes us question the foundations of faith.

    Of God and Angels

It made me think about theology all over again. This is truly a powerful piece, and like Mac said it makes you think. I'm still beholden to my beliefs of the divine, but it's always good to question yourself. Jefferson said it best: "Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blind-folded fear." - Thomas Jefferson Truth in one simple statement. It took me a long time, to get to where I am spiritually.
  20. tim, my Brother. All three of these poems are fantastic pieces. The first one... is really speaking to me right now.
  21. Sorry, I missed this Agent D. I'm posting on other websites now, and wanted uniformity.
