I remember her Footprints poem. This is a thoughtful and fitting response to the love of poetry that you both shared.

This news hit me especially hard tonight. moggy had her moments. Ultimately, I know that she meant harm to no one, and she went out of her way to show support for others (including me), despite her own hardships and pain. She frequently said that doctors didn't believe she'd live long past birth, but she surprised everyone with her endurance. In many ways, she lived a full life that many people, including herself, never thought she could. So... I raise a glass to you tonight, moggy. Fly off with the butterflies.

Words Embedded in my cerebrum Ulcerous, infected Clinging like small leeches Hungry to suck my blood Words hold my imagination hostage For a ransom which cannot be paid Words Seldom liberated from my cerebrum Anxious, irreverent Inflaming like small torches Ready to join the pyre Words resist their emancipation As if they know not that they are free Without words, I am fucking useless.

Oftentimes, I read what you post and close the page, then return later to reread it. I don't always comment right away, because I take time to digest your words, roll the images around in my head for a while - especially when the images are so palpable. Each of these poems speaks to your enormous capacity to feel. Not only do you observe the small details of the world around you, you attach great empathy to those observations. your poetry drips with it. April 4, 2018 is but one example. This is a gift many writers and poets wished they possessed but don't. Terrific job on this week's offerings, tim.

Hugs to you, boy. Ripley was far more than a pet; he was a companion. That's a memory that will live on.

Yes, some good twists in this film, and an interesting glimpse into late-19th century magicians in London. But, by far the best part of this movie was the trip to Colorado Springs to see Nikola Tesla, who was played by David Bowie.

Tapestries of Imagination (a Haibun)

Framed... hmm, I like that idea. It could act as a daily affirmation on the wall. Thanks for your comment, Deville. -

Thank you for your kind words, Def. Intuitive is definitely the word for it. I'm not sure how else it could be described! -

A, I'm glad to know that this piece held personal meaning for you and helped lift you out of that spiral. Don't get too frustrated with your writing. We're all guilty of moments of doubt and frustration, but the pen must write! -

Thank you, Mike. Your support of these "blind" collaborations means a lot. I think you're right that tim and I could produce some great work together through open collaboration. -

Many aspects of life are harmonious, like notes strung together. Thank you for seeing the relevancy of that line. And thank you for your thoughtful comments on this piece, jp. -

Thank you for the support, molly. Those last two lines that hit you the hardest are tim's. Doing this particular collaboration reminded him that he shouldn't "put away his pen", which was the point of the exercise. No one should put away their pens, because every voice matters. -
Tapestries of Imagination (a Haibun)
MacGreg commented on MacGreg's story chapter in Tapestries of Imagination (a Haibun)
The haibun format was chosen by tim. he then changed his mind, but I insisted we stick with his first instinct. I said we needed the challenge - and challenging it was! Thank you for your kind words about it, Parker. We are pleased with the outcome. -

Thank you, Reader. I love that you didn't stop to ponder your response and just let it flow. Your response is great and means a lot. Thank you for the kind words! -

Neither of us knew the length of each line of free-verse that the other was writing, right? You wrote 2 lines, shared the last with me. I wrote 2 lines, shared the last with you. And yet, when you look at the structure here in the completed piece, the 4 lines of each free-verse mirror one another in form. The symmetry is mind-blowing. -

@Mikiesboy Take a visual scan of the 3 free-verse sections. What do you notice? -
Tapestries of Imagination (a Haibun)
MacGreg posted new chapter in Exquisite Corpse and Other Collaborations
Poetry anchors me to the world around me. When I started to write it, it helped me hold on to my humanity, for life on the street could have easily stolen that away. Prose lets me explore the world—many worlds and different types of characters—from the safety of my living room chair. The flow of pen on paper, fingers on keys, creates intricate language and landscapes Weaves a tapestry of imagination to transport Writer and Reader into realms unknown There we can fly through spac- 25 comments

Interesting chapter. I may need to go back and start the story from the beginning.

TC2 - Chapter 1: Meeting Each Other
MacGreg commented on Brayon's story chapter in TC2 - Chapter 1: Meeting Each Other
This is a very thoughtful story, A. We can't choose our family, but when a strong familial bond happens, especially when two people only just meet, well, there's nothing else like it.- 66 comments

A complex movie that I had to watch a couple of times to even remotely comprehend. I recently watched it a 3rd time, and it made much more sense to me. By the 4th time, I might have it completely figured out.

The Evidence Room - a haibun
MacGreg commented on Mikiesboy's story chapter in The Evidence Room - a haibun
One of the most powerful poems I've ever read. Gave me chills, a lump in my throat, and - yes - tears at the back of my eyes. This line: Have the door open outward not in So the dead do not interfere with the economic disposal Of themselves And this line: Because some do not believe And on top of the horror here That is the worst of it. And, well, the entire Haibun poem. Never silence your pen, boy. The world benefits from what you have to say.- 28 comments

Four Varied Skyscrapers
MacGreg commented on Parker Owens's story chapter in Four Varied Skyscrapers
This 'skyscraper' form is fantastic, Parker. I will have to try my hand at it sometime. These little beauties you created are exceptional as individual pieces as well as a group. Each one is very thoughtful.
