Could Theo sense Araziah and that’s why he left? Araziah and Torsten would just feel wrong. Torsten is more of a parent to Araziah and I don’t think Torsten could see it any different. I could see how the constant voices could drive the members of the conclave to be slightly insane. I hope that things do work out for Theo and Torsten because they seem good together. I have no doubts that eventually Dustin will be on the list.. Just like I have a weird feeling that Joey will be there too. When Brett talked about "Reilly" being a mask, I think that "asshole Joey Mackenzie" is a mask that he wears to keep the peace at home. I don't think that Joey is as big a douche as he seems. There may be some serious stuff to come out about him, judging by his emotional reactions at times. But I may be waaaayyyyy off base here, those are just my nerdish theories..

Brett has matured so much in this book. Their little talk in the car and at the cemetery showed this. Finding out about his own mask of "Reilly" was interesting, and explained his coping mechanism. I agree with some other comments, What he hell is Billy thinking by even bringing up Brett's father?????? Unless he was going to mention it and then chickened out. The trouble is his little secret isn't so secret anymore. He told both Dustin and his mother that he knows who Brett's daddy is. I hope those revelations don't come back to bite him in the ass..... I had Bobby Rush penciled in for "La Resistance" so he is not a surprise. I also have Pat Winston on the short list, if she can drag herself out of her previously mentioned glass closet.

For as often as I have said that Brett and Billy are the worst kept secret in Denora, I wish to recant that statement and move them to Number 2. The number one worst kept secret in town has to be Pat and Susan. I think that is why Billy went off on her in school and has done it in the past. He is Ms. Winston and has been using her as his roll model. Both have been living in the same glass closet, but she has been in there for 25 years. Both of them seem scared how everyone will react if their secret is known, But everyone knows their secret....... Now that Billy is Out, maybe he can drag Pat out of that closet. I can totally understand Billy's anger towards her trying to use him to live the life she thinks she can't. Maybe Brett needs to go and have a talk with her, to show her that being inside a glass closet is not for the best.
