Wow, all kids of emotions in this chapter, the sadness of the funeral to the anger of the trial. That lawyer was a real asshole, but then again, how do you defend the indefensible? I mean what difference would it make even if Brad came onto his father and Nate had the knife first??? The assaults happened and were too extreme. And Bart's comments at the start of the trial didn't help his own cause at all. Brad's victim statement was very powerful!! At first I was all Team Jesse, but now I am team Mitch. Have we met Mitch's parents yet, I have a feeling they would help the healing. I hope Brad and Nate do seek some kind of counseling to help. I hope we don't have to deal with some homophobic social worker when it comes to Brad being able to keep and raise Nate. Thanks Rob for the story!!

Holy Crap, How did I miss this chapter? So sad. Poor Nate, just after admitting his fear of losing his brother, he loses his mother. Thank God the family has circled the wagons to protect each other.

Dr Snowden sounds like just what Galen needs. He didn't push him, just observed. Some of the issues may be the medications numbing everything. I hope the doctor does come and observe how Galen interacts with the horses too. At this point talking would be useless anyway. I mean, we know why he hast the PTSD, and talking about it would just be gobbeltygook. I hope when addressed again the Josh is more honest with the doctor about the relationship. At some point during Galen's healing I think Josh will need some therapy as well to forgive himself for everything that has happened!!

I'm surprised that no one has ever tried to change the rules of the Family trust to include adoptees. Considering the contributions of the family, Dane should be quite well off when he grows up. The communication in the chapter was sweet. Liam voiced his fears and Toby didn't laugh and answered all his questions honestly. The fact that he invited Liam to the meeting with Mandy does say a lot. If they can just keep communicating and not hiding anything then they may have a shot at forever!!

Funny you should say that!! As I was typing the comment I was thinking about who in the story could become Zoe's boyfriend, and I did think about him (Theo)! When I first read chapter 14, I thought that Mason and Anders were boyfriends, and when I saw the reviews that no one else commented on it I was shocked!!

I was so proud of Trick this chapter.. He overcame his fear and went to the rink with Cody. When Mason showed up, he didn't cower in fear, but took the initiative and practically shoved his relationship with Cody in Mason's face. Matchmaking is now OPEN... We need to find a man for Zoe and a man for Anders. And also a life for Mason. Everyone wonders why he is always sitting alone in the bar drinking!!

I was always wondering how Rudolph could take a trust fund established for the boys away from them. Now I know the bastard couldn't but the boys were kept ignorant of the money and what it was and where it came from. I do agree with Doug. This was actually a good thing for the boys.
