W.a.r. By Jeff Wilson (Jkwsquirrel)
glennish replied to jkwsquirrel's topic in Stories Discussion Forum
Jeff, You have said several times that as much as the story is about Brett and Billy, It is more about Billy and his dad. The last chapter (Like father, Like son) Really shows that. Even though George is gone from the story he is still a very important part of it. Billy's reaction to his diagnosis and the subsequent "talk" with his father really shows that. Eventually Billy will realize that even though technically Billy's diabetes is George's "fault" it is a genetic condition that can be passed on. If George lived a healthy life or not Billy would still end up being diabetic. Thanks for the awesome story and Happy Holidays!!! -
So....... Was thinking. Does anyone else find it ironic that the day after Billy had a 14 or 12 gauge needle shoved through his nipple he is freaking about putting a 30 gauge in his stomach or thigh. A lot less nerve endings in the abdomen.

A sequel would be awesome but if you never touch this story or these characters again this is the perfect ending. Kaleo knows what Adam did and Adam left Kaleo his address. From this point on we can use our imagination to picture the grand reunion in Chicago and maybe the new couple moving back to the magic island. Thanks and merry Christmas.

Love love loved it. I like the way Ian and Adam balance each other out. When Adam is stressed Ian is calming and the opposite works too when Ian was all upset over Patrick flying Adam calmed him down even though he was freaking out himself. I hope Paddy doesn’t regret having the baby room with him. 😂

I hope Liam talks to someone about how he is feeling before things get to bad!!!

I think Billy will get over his anger at his father. The comment about liking his feet was very upsetting. Part of the trouble is probably the only exposure to diabetes that he has seen is his father and we all know how that turned out. Glad to see Brett being an attentive boyfriend again. As to the question someone asked about Bobby, throughout the story it’s been kind of hinted at that Bobby might be on the same team as Brett and Billy. Mr Bland’s comment on the nipple piercing was funny.

I will echo everyone else here. What did they find out about the “research” from their investigation? I hope Kohen isn’t any kind of suspect.

Just wondering? What did Khan get for Christmas? A stuffed clown chew toy? -

Very nice. Glad the extended family had such a wonderful Christmas. Khan pulling the blanket off the bed was great. I loved them giving Blu's old car to Kaleb. Merry Christmas all -
You had me worried after last chapter, I am glad Liam's mom is going to be OK. Toby is turning out to be a great boyfriend. I am a little worried about Liam. Without some kind of help I am afraid he is heading for a major melt down with all the stresses he is facing. Thanks for new chapter and looking forward to more.

A nice afternoon with his boyfriend. I hope it is not ruined by bad news about his mother. Waiting for more on Monday. Thanks for the chapter.

I'm gonna go with A, Billy himself. -
I love this story. Trick the matchmaker.... Now he just has to keep his eyes open for a nice match for Anders. I have been to that Café by the ice rink a few times..... They have a great Latte, and killer scones. Waiting for my friend Joh. Sam ran off with a new friend and said he would call later!!

The Resurrection of Billy Roberts
glennish commented on jkwsquirrel's story chapter in The Resurrection of Billy Roberts
I thought the same thing this morning after reading and thinking about the story so far. Both Dustin and Brett have had shitty lives so far, but they are growing up and maturing. Billy seems to be going backward in his development. He seemed much more mature and outgoing earlier in the story when he was younger, now he seems stuck at some immature state, unable to let go of the things that have happened to him, almost afraid to grow up!! -
The Resurrection of Billy Roberts

I think the tattoo as a move against his mother is brilliant. Paula as a bible thumper would have to know the old testament restrictions against such things. I hope they end up with matching tattoos too. It was great to see the 3 of them getting along after all this time. Thanks for the early chapter, and eagerly awaiting the next!! -
Now just have to wait a week to find out what Kohen wants to see on video so badly. So glad to see everyone trying to help and respecting boundaries. Something got Kohen out of Hus funk can't wait to find out what

While I would eventually like to see a horrific demise for Anna I think she needs to lurk in the shadows for a while. Kind of like a dark cloud in our hero’s lives just waiting to make trouble. Personally I hope she shows up at the wedding to try and cause trouble and Payne has to shoot her. But that’s just my fantasy.

I think even if you did get Kat to give up Noah @Wesley8890 would still have to fight with Liam to get the baby.

Such a great chapter. And a dog for Paddy and the rest of the family would make it perfect. Need to find a nice big house with a large yard for whatever breed of dog they get. Again as long as it is a dog and not a rodent on a leash. Did Paddy beat his grandpas at golf?

Poa sounds like such a magical relaxing place. I can't wait to see if the spirits of the island can heal Kaleo. And also what the future holds for both boys. Such a wonderful magical story. Thank you.

Wow, all kids of emotions in this chapter, the sadness of the funeral to the anger of the trial. That lawyer was a real asshole, but then again, how do you defend the indefensible? I mean what difference would it make even if Brad came onto his father and Nate had the knife first??? The assaults happened and were too extreme. And Bart's comments at the start of the trial didn't help his own cause at all. Brad's victim statement was very powerful!! At first I was all Team Jesse, but now I am team Mitch. Have we met Mitch's parents yet, I have a feeling they would help the healing. I hope Brad and Nate do seek some kind of counseling to help. I hope we don't have to deal with some homophobic social worker when it comes to Brad being able to keep and raise Nate. Thanks Rob for the story!!

Holy Crap, How did I miss this chapter? So sad. Poor Nate, just after admitting his fear of losing his brother, he loses his mother. Thank God the family has circled the wagons to protect each other.

Dr Snowden sounds like just what Galen needs. He didn't push him, just observed. Some of the issues may be the medications numbing everything. I hope the doctor does come and observe how Galen interacts with the horses too. At this point talking would be useless anyway. I mean, we know why he hast the PTSD, and talking about it would just be gobbeltygook. I hope when addressed again the Josh is more honest with the doctor about the relationship. At some point during Galen's healing I think Josh will need some therapy as well to forgive himself for everything that has happened!!
