    Chapter 1

While it suffers in its delivery, the concept of a group of Robin Hood-esque thieves doing good deeds is a very sound one. It's a shame it's been taken from the TV show Leverage. Along with the tagline, character's catchphrase and the characters themselves. Names have been changed and a few genders have been flipped but each character is easily and instantly recognisable. Blake = Nate = The Mastermind. Miranda = Sophie = The Grifter Jeanette = Elliot = The Hitter Darwin = Hardison = The Hacker Davenport = Parker = The Thief As for the final line in the story: it's not only ripped off but nonsensical out of context. Still, it sounded very cool when Nate said it in The San Lorenzo Job.

Considering you said you wanted to "explore" these strange rituals, I find it strange that you instead spent your verses bad-mouthing and casting them aside as 'ignorant' and 'heresy'. Next time you may want to look harder at your own prejudices before seeking to open other people's minds.
  3. At first I thought the topic title said "Domluka Candlelight Virgin"... I'm tired.
  4. Its Tomato Soup. (Nice tomato soup though, not that crap stuff that you get in tins). What's your favourite Album?
  5. Ok, how about this? A meeting sometime between the 31st of March and the 22nd of April (there are 4 weekends in those dates) somewhere in York (actual place to be decided closer to the event). Obviously it would be in a weekend and there are 4 weekends in that date range (31-1, 7-8, 14-15 and 21-22). So, if people could please post if they can make it around then along with any suggestions/alternative plans that they have? Martin EDIT: Changed the Main Post to this
  6. I was saying that I think its a little bit harsh saying that Starbucks is the harbinger of death.
  7. Just thought I'd give this topic a bump on the extremely small chance that someone decides to play the game. There as recently bee a big update (the game is actually nowhere near finished, but still great to play) and now that the bugs have been mostly cleared from this version I thought I'd post a link because...well...might as well. Main Page (has download link): http://www.bay12games.com/dwarves/ Forums (advise reading to pick up hints that are required for any degree of success): http://www.bay12games.com/cgi-local/ultimatebb.cgi The Wiki (very useful for finding out what it was that you did wrong that caused the entire mountain to sink 8 foot and then explode): http://dwarf.lendemaindeveille.com/index.php/Main_Page Its a fun game if you give it a chance, Although admittedly it is hard to get into at first. The graphics might put some people off but it is still a very detailed game, and if you use your imagination then the graphics are as good as you want them to be (just the like special effects in a book ). Oh, and being bad at the game is no reason to give up... it is designed so that success is pretty much impossible (depending on what you consider success to be, of course). Your fortress might be the strongest that you have ever had and it might seem that nothing can go wrong, and then one tiny incodent can bring the entire thing down around your ears (my latest fort failed because a masterful meal prepared by my best chef went rotten. He was so affronted by this that he went on a rampage, killing dogs, cats, cows and babies. This caused everyone else to go mad and within a minute the entire fort and broken down into utter madness).
  8. Thats a little harsh, isn't it? I mean, they are overpriced but still...
  9. No... being practically suicidal after his meeting with Johns and as a result too confused to argue with Trina and Taylor got him pretty far. His whining just upset Jude. EDIT: Anyway, why are we discussing this in the Log Way thread? Does it even matter? Does Lemon meringue pie really exist?
  10. I pronounce it "Roar-ee" as well...but it still feels like my lips are a little bit confused by the sound... if that makes sense.
  11. The name "Rory" doesn't seem right to me... there's something awkward about the word that I can't put my finger on. If I try to say it out loud it feels like I can only just get my mouth around it (somebody is going to make a joke out of that...I can see it coming). The name "Quinn" seems to bug me a little as well... but that is because it feel...incomplete. It needs another sound on the end of it (although that would basically leave you with Quentin...) "Owen Dovan" on the over hand... just seems to work right. Can't explain it... I just like the sound of it.
  12. Dom characters for boyfriends? 1. Has to be Aiden 2. Jude 3. Luke (I really need to finish DD) 4. Owen And all those people whop said Quinn... why? Does he [/i]know[/i] how to stop whining? At All?
  13. HAPPY BIRTHDAY COLIN!
  14. Well, the reason I didn't suggest a possible time is because I haven't got a clue when would be ok for me. I don't know anything much about next year other than for two weeks "in summer" I have to be on a dig. So, to my knowledge, times that are ok for me are any weekend other than 2 of the weeks in summer but I can't actually say which weeks those are. As for location, all I can say really is someplace in London, basically because its pretty easy to access from anywhere in the UK (trains and plains are dead cheap if you book in advance). I can't say anything more specific than that because I don't know anything about London other than that its that city sort of place that I think is over there *points*. Anyway, I'll pester a load of lecturers until one of them gives in and tells me what he/she knows about next year, then I'll suggest a time. Ok? (Honestly, is it really beyond anyone here to have a suggestion of their own which isn't an attempt to shoot down the whole idea?)

  16. HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMOE!
  17. Thankyou to Myr for making this brilliant site... its been great being a member here.
  18. HAPPY BIRTHDAY
  19. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUGNUTZ
  20. 2000 posts?! I'm don't reckon I'd reach 200 before the end of the year...
  21. I did mean that one of the UK/europe people should organise it. I'd do it myself but I couldn't organise mass inebriation in a brewery (to put the common phrase politely) EDIT: Just been doing some thinking about stuff for a UK/Europe get-together. Anyway, just a few thoughts I had: 1. Travel Prices shouldn't be too much trouble... any half-decent amount of notice and you can normally get really cheap flights with company's like Ryanair. 2. If it was in spring then I think it'd have to be early spring cos spring is quite a busy time of the year (If I remember rightly). 3. London is easy to get to, and while its a sort of large scale maze there are at least a few fairly obvious meeting places (if we had an half hour or so box to meet in just for the actual initial gathering, it'd probably make things simpler...or maybe not. idk...just a thought.) 4. Obviously London springs to mind as obvious location... but then there probably are better places. I don't know them though (not gone to most cities at all actually) Anyway, there we go. A few random thoughts. Probably half gibberish. Meh, I'm tired EDIT 2: I also don't think its important to have the two events coinciding. I reckon we'd be better off seeing how a UK event actually turns out before trying to get it happening at the same time as a US one just for the sake of it.
  22. That only gives rise to the question of why you would protest a funeral. Its counter-productive. The very act of protesting at a funeral turns people away from your cause, defeating the whole purpose of the protest in the first place.
  23. It isn't that we hated everyone... its just everyone hated us. Nobody likes the boss (and we were the boss...once upon a time...) (Although to be fair the english do seem to hate everyone...including most of the english )
  24. The thing is, it isn't what they are protesting about that is the real problem. The real problem is the method. Funeral Protests should not be allowed. If they want to do their protests, they can. But they should do it somewhere appropriate, not funerals.
