So we know why AJ was ill, with surgery correcting the issue. But the anaesthetic from the surgery, awoke AJ's dormant abilities. Ability to read minds and reach things that were not near him, both interesting abilities. Look forward to finding out how they become useful to him.

Interesting chapter. Trouble ahead for Cooper possibly, with people not abiding by rules. We discover that Cooper has family he didn’t know about, that his father protected with secret code words.
