The wedding was more whimsical than expected but enjoyable…. I can’t begin to imagine the gall that possessed the chromosomal unit to think it realistically conceivable that they had ANY right to be at the wedding-while Loren & Lars may not want to know the info Jay’s investigation yielded, *** I would want that info in the super epilogue, lol!!*** It was that barring from the gate moment that generated one of the most powerful lines for me: ”We freeze and slowly look left. Jay, Taylor, Derek, Seamus, Will, Scott, Garrett, Shawn, and Marcus stare at us with their arms crossed.” This cross section of important people from Jay’s childhood, school days and work life packed a punch with me; while that is typically what a wedding party is composed of, their absolute support of Jay (and by extension, Loren) in dealing with that situation warmed my heart: “That’s not true.” Scott says. “I had the firm’s private investigator pull every piece of paper he could find. I found some interesting information on the lead prosecutor, Paul Messner.” Is Paul Messner a former lover? The twins’ father, perhaps? “It’s time for you to get the hell out.” Seamus tells them. “Now.” That was Seamus standing up for his boy Loren. ❤️ Cousin’s camp looks like the blast we all thought it would, though it looks like it will have to be held at an actual campground with the population explosion of the next generation, lol!! This chapter and story ended on the sweetest of notes…***it would be great if that super epilogue covered the thought process that changed Loren’s mind*** because that was a monumental shift. This whole story was a gift, one of many you’ve provided on this site (my fave still remains “Tied up in Knotts”) 😍 Thank you for sharing your fantastic storytelling skills, it’s been a great ride.

Great progress. ❤️ l love sexy, dirty talk and LOVE how much Herky loves Alec….you just know he doesn’t react to everyone the same way-he already knows when Alec’s at the door before he knocks, lol; Herky loves Alec as much as his dad and he’s only met him twice. There are layers and layers to Finn and Alec’s relationship & I’m here to watch them discover and savor them all.

This was something I thought of too while reading; I know sex is not the panacea to all their problems but I think there is merit in touch and physical contact, coupled with an emotional connection, there is little better.

Sorry to hear about this weekend, I hope you’re feeling better. “He couldn’t shoulder the weight of his memories and trauma forever and be happy.” This phrase captures Alec’s prescription for wellness in all aspects of his life….this phrase is true not just for Alec; it takes hard, painful work but the freedom from those shackles are worth it. I wish Alec all the luck in dealing with his mother because while that confrontation will be an opportunity for both, it’s more for him than her, as it seems that his mother’s change in attitude is very remote. I’m still side eyeing Henry, though his desire for reconciliation seems sincere….as unlikely as it seems, how much will he follow through if his wife recovers? River and Kenji properly advised Alec about the power balance in his relationship with Finn but I have to say-Kenji’s an asshole, lol. There are ways of being direct without being the tool he is ALL the time; River and he do balance each other out. This was an enjoyable read, thank you. I’m glad there will be an installment tomorrow, given your extenuating circumstances.

I’m kind of missing Sven (I think that’s the name of Loren’s butt buddy at the beginning of the story). I don’t know if you’d consider giving him a story @Mrsgnomie, even a short one….he was such a good guy-having genuine feelings for Loren, feeling embarrassed about hitting on Jay & really coming through when he saw Lars in the stadium. And since I’m throwing stuff out there: are we really done hearing from those shit stains (chromosome x and chromosome y) that begat Loren & Lars? They invested what pitiable parental skills they had in Lars and are just okay with him walking away after their lies were discovered? At least tell me they were caught in some horrific situation that permanently damages their outsides (to match their insides), if it doesn’t outright kill them.

Wait, how many more chapters are left? I loved Jay putting his folks on notice that they are overreacting like little brats who aren’t getting their way; I saw that their granddaughter didn’t change their mindset, *sigh* It was also great that Loren is the one willing to abstain until their wedding night….this is definitely one of the best lines of the whole story: “For as long as I can remember, my ideal man was someone whose values reflected mine. When I saw Loren for the first time, I knew in my gut that he was the one for me. I did not know how different we were. Loren was the triangle to my circle and yet our shapes fit so perfectly together. I had the patience that he needed back then, and he has the patience that I need now. Ying and yang.” What a fantastic bonus treat today, thanks again, also to @kbois, as I feel she had no small part in this. 🎁 🙏
