A question just came to me-As public as Loren’s life is, do you think he’d share Lars & what they’ve been through with the world? I gather Lars would have input with that decision but I do wonder. I also wonder about what the reunion will be like with Isaac, Cole, Corey & Lars; while Loren was the one abandoned, they also lost a close friend, something that absolutely slipped my mind in this story. That callous act of abandonment impacted so many. These two act like they met on an “Assholes R Us” website and had the twins; were there other adult relatives in their lives that could’ve advocated for the boys or was Loren’s mistreatment kept behind closed doors? (I can’t think they were ever nominees for parents of the year.)

I now wonder what the reaction would be for the “donors” to know that in spite of their deliberate, diabolical efforts, the brothers are reuniting and know the truth.

Loved the expansion of “The Board” and the reunion between Loren and Lars. The twin’s parents have A LOT to answer for; A part of me doesn’t want to give them the attention but the part of me that is curious about human nature wants to understand what they could use as justification for such heinous, inhuman actions. “He’s changed my life. He made meeting Lars a possibility. No matter how it goes, I won’t walk away empty handed, even if it will feel like it. I will always have Jay.” How many ills of the spirit would be healed with such certitude of love.

There is still a respectful distance between them but a definite acceptance that wasn’t there before….Seamus wouldn’t ask just anyone the huge favor of befriending the surrogate and he wouldn’t accept Loren staying in his home (as he does when L& J are in Denver) unless there was some peace made in his mind; Loren would also not refer to Seamus as his “dear friend” unless he came to his own place of acceptance; There is a dance being done between two and it may never be a waltz but they definitely respect each other.

Welcome. This is a site with great stories and excellent interaction (and don’t feel bad, I’m currently rereading “Three Strikes” myself, lol) Good luck on your medical boards. 🍀

This chapter was short, sweet and perfect. I loved seeing the start of the end of Seamus’ in-laws and Mike….that they have the nerve to hate Seamus when it was their son/best friend who did him dirty….it might seem callous but I’m glad Kelly died and Seamus got everything, his parents and Mike certainly don’t deserve it. It was also nice to see the relationship Seamus and Loren have now; I’m wondering what it was that made Seamus accept Loren as being good enough for Jay, I feel it had to be more than recognizing that Loren isn’t a snotty fan girl; Speaking of fan girls….thank you for the deets on Jett Romero, lol!! Jay was lucky that stalking didn’t escalate to more dangerous levels. Loren was the perfect choice as the surrogate liaison and while I understand and respect his right to not want to be a father, he’d make one of the best ones ever….It’s clear that his fear of being directly responsible for bringing up & potentially screwing up another life is too great to overcome; He’s the perfect Guncle for Aidan and Carson; It’ll be enough that he’d be willing to call himself a husband, Jay is the only man that could make him contemplate that. Looking forward to seeing whenever Loren and Lars meet and the fallout from said meeting, I sincerely hope it will be a good meeting for the both of them. Question-is Loren afraid of his parents or has that been handled in therapy too? (I want to say no.)

This topic interests me as well because as a born & bred city girl, front doors & car doors have NEVER been left open, lol!’ It’s like a different language to me, lol.

This chapter just added another layer to the delicious Jay and Loren cake that is their life, their happily ever after,….barring any other unexpected curves, you just know what they have is enough to see the other through everything-the good moments made all the sweeter and the challenges totally endurable. Loren facilitated the much needed talk Jay had to have with his brothers….it never was going to be an angry conversation but Loren helped Jay be still and listen to his brothers, who were never really heard before by any of their immediate family (I’m thankful that Derek & Taylor had each other). While the Petermeyer’s aren’t bad people, they are guilty of so many family traps-putting all their hopes in their firstborn son (while Jay’s life is charmed, I think people underestimate the pressure he has always felt and still feels in being the eldest). Mom & Pop P also expected (and expect) their children to follow the life path they have dictated, seemingly following some unrealized dream of their dad instead of finding out and supporting their own goals (I wonder what life would have looked like if any or all of them were girls.) Most parents want their children close but it is unfair of the senior Petermeyers to expect Jay or his brothers to want to move back home and to express it through passive aggressive guilt trips and manipulation….it’s an abuse of their power (because parents are masters at guilt, lol) I’m glad they saw Jay with Loren’s dick in his mouth….their golden child needed to fall off the pedestal of their view & what a way to do it, lol!! It was refreshing seeing the role reversal of Jay being handled by Loren, it balanced the scales in a delightful way for me between them; Now Jay will continue his role of supportive husband (c’mon, it’s only a matter of time, lol) in Loren’s quest to find Lars. I pray these two halves of a whole find a way to heal the rent to their fabric made by the sperm donor & egg carrier they are related to. To close….I give thoughts of love, peace and comfort to all those affected by the shootings in New York and California. 🙏 ❤️

Reading IS fundamental. I was going to call you out, O esteemed author, about the “fake out” but then I reread the title of the last chapter….how you & @kbois must have been cackling at us, lol!! I take comfort in knowing that I was fooled along with everyone else….well played, @Mrsgnomie *bowing to your skill*.

So…. Was the hit an accident (and well used plot device) or was that intentional? Jealousy over Jay’s attention on & off the field perhaps?- 132 comments

Good dreams and bad nightmares

I didn’t even realize I was feeding into the foot frenzy until you mentioned it, lol. I was just hoping for the most minimal damage Jay could get from that hit (staying in firm denial about his not breathing on the field and his current unconscious state) Oh man, I just thought about his parents and brothers….what are the Smothersons going to do with their golden child this seriously injured? Hopefully Taylor and Derek, as well as Seamus, Matt, Will and Scott can insulate Loren (as well as Loe’s own people, of course).- 132 comments

Good dreams and bad nightmares
FanLit commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Good dreams and bad nightmares
I couldn’t pick an emoji at the end….there was so much good in this chapter-quality time with Jay & Loren!! Shutting down that Skeeve!! Helping Seamus!! Aido Potato❣️❣️Seamus and Matt’s engagement!! Definite big boy plans about the future for Loren, Isaac, Corey and Cole!! Jay’s retirement announcement!!….all obliterated by the end. 💔 It almost takes away from me being GA famous (I’m very appreciative for the mention…. thank you, Mrsgnomie 🙏) Life is full of moments good and bad….being receptive to the good makes us vulnerable to the bad; Loe is on the cusp of having his best life….I pray Loren stays focused on the amazing love and life he already shares with Jay, that this doesn’t shut him down and makes him walk away. As a side note, I thought the nightmare was going to involve Lars, I’m sure Loren would’ve preferred that.- 132 comments

Played like a blitz on third down
FanLit commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Played like a blitz on third down
While we’ve seen that Seamus’ dislike feeds into Loe’s own insecurities, I think he respects the fact that Seamus doesn’t give him fanboy acceptance as Jay’s boyfriend; I think that prickly atmosphere allows Loren to needle Seamus in his own way as well….they remind me a lot of each other. I like the way this general consensus was written.- 96 comments

Played like a blitz on third down
FanLit commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Played like a blitz on third down
These last two chapters to me were like glimpses of “a day in the life of”…., when your story is over and we aren’t following J & L around all the time, They will be so okay and Loren will allow himself the gift of loving it; I don’t know if he’ll ever be used to it, I think his childhood (or lack thereof) won’t allow him to take life with Jay for granted. Hello Viv and Monica, nice to meet you. I had been rereading the whole story prior to “The award goes to” & wondered about a couple of people- 1/ Sven, whom you touched upon in this chapter (I wondered if he would reappear after having his heart broken and if he’d be friend or foe if he did; I’m glad you answered this question and proved he’s very much in the friend category) 2/ Jett Romero (from chapter 16 “Celebrating Loren”) What awful past does he share with Jay? Your depiction of Loren’s reaction to Aidan’s “gift” was hilarious. It’s a part of being around kids so you deal but I think only fans of golden showers would react positively to that, lol!! Once again, I marvel at how Jay handles Loren “I admit, I enjoy making Loren uncomfortable.” ….“I can only assume his uncomfortableness comes from a lack of exposure. The only cure is over exposure.” Jay’s tough love approach comes from his deep love and I’m here for it. I await your revelation of Lars’ intentions and know that no matter what happens, Loren will be okay because he has Jay & Co. Something tells me Lars didn’t have it so great being “The Chosen One”.- 96 comments
