    Chapter 1

Glad to see the second book!! Interesting and adventurous start. I get where David is coming from and it will be interesting to see where this journey (both physical and emotional) takes him. I’m still a fan of them as a couple but TC has much to atone for. A future with TC is not a guarantee.

    Chapter 15

My opinion was originally to support Kastan not having to be the one to personally deal with or execute his sister in law, in spite of being his brother the emperor’s “muscle”....yet Rushi is literally plotting his murder and isn’t above manipulating and/or harming his immediate family (Rashan and Jihan) to do so; From that perspective, Kastan will have to be the one to kill Rushi, as he will defend his son and husband by any means and would want to personally do so, so consider this an about face of my previous opinion, lol.

    Chapter 15

Everything Jihan has ever needed is at Silver Shore, whether he realizes it or not. In Kastan, he has an equal partner whom he can depend on in every way; They will both teach each other what they need to learn as far as depending on someone else emotionally. It is fortunate that their relationship includes romantic love as well as trust and respect. Unlike Nieth, I think “the burden of a sword against an empress” should fall on the emperor because he loved her and because she has given him two sons-these are not her considerations when she plots treason against her own husband-not even her father’s sacrifice stays her hand in betrayal; That should not be a task asked of another family member, whichever faction that dispatched her father should also handle her; The only exception to this would be if Kastan had to physically defend himself or his family against Rushi. For all the frustrations this chapter brought Jihan, it was a nice break from the other drama and served to bring he and his husband closer.
  4. Nicely said, especially the part about the stunting of Penn’s emotional development; Many people stay frozen in the time of a traumatic emotional event.
  5. “What’s there to do?... “I think you’re making a bigger deal out of this than it needs to be. You said it yourself, you need to focus on this crap with Lee. You need to get divorced and take his ass to the cleaners. Then you need a job and a place to live. You need to get things lined up so you can move on. Penn might be nice to look at but you haven’t even known him for very long. It’s not like you guys have history. It won’t be hard to make a clean break. Sure, it sucks, but whatcha gonna do about it? Penn and Cam are having a baby. They’ll need time to figure out what that looks like for them. He may want you but they need him. Shit, neither of you need a distraction right now. Ya both need to focus on your own drama.” I still say this applies and if Penn is broken he broke himself; Besides not telling Nash about the pregnancy in Thailand, he could have cleared things up after when they talked at the side of the road. If Nash wants to “fix” Penn, he’ll be going above and beyond; Penn’s communication skills suck.
  6. When I was reading the story, I thought the most exciting thing I’d have to say was “road head!!”....but it’s not. Oh Mrsgnomie. Why?!?! It’s clear one of the three times Penn had sex with Cam was a few months ago; (or is it?) That’s a why in and of itself-the bigger why is why didn’t Penn tell Nash?!?!?!?!? If Penn really wants a future with Nash (because now I don’t know what the fuck to think) this baby would be a part of their lives; Even from a best friend perspective, Penn should have told Nash something. Knowing all that Nash has been through with deception and lies recently, I don’t understand how he thought keeping this a secret would be a good thing. I guess the baby’s a girl (Penny?) Wow. Wow.
  7. Knott flavored salt, which makes it worse. 🧂
  8. I’ve been thinking the same as the story progressed but tough titties for him. Even though we know Nash wasn’t cheating, the only thing that should matter to Lee is that his hoeish ass is the one that got caught.
  9. 😂
  10. Nash’s naivety has been a source of amusement for me in the story as well lol, when it hasn’t touched me or made me feel protective of him: “You know what the hottest thing about you is?” .... “It’s that you have no clue how hot you are. You go through life oblivious to those around you. You don’t see the way people look at you.” That’s pretty much Nash in a nutshell.
  11. I think the forwarding of the emails to his attorney and Lee’s boss is all he can do while he‘s abroad....With these new developments, I don’t think Nash will have any problem facing Lee head on in the future. (His involvement with Penn highlighted the inequity of emotions in his marriage to Lee, Penn’s feelings for him will give him the ego boost he needs to finally put his ex husband in the rear view mirror where he belongs.)
  12. 😍 As nice as the sexy bits were, the sweetest part of this chapter was the revelation of the devotion both Nash and Penn had/have to each other. The length of Penn’s devotion was a surprising but lovely discovery. I don’t think Nash will need as much time as he thinks he will to move forward into a future with Penn, lol!! Where does Lee think he has a leg to stand on in trying to fight the divorce? With his infidelity out there, the only hope he has to keep his job and anything left of his reputation in their small town is to go along with the proceedings. It’ll serve his suck up ass right when he sees that Nash and Penn are together, that Nash will be in with the Knotts in a way he will ne-ver be. Lee will never have the same devotion that Nash showed him in any future relationship and he’ll never be truly happy in any future relationship he’s in because he’s not truly happy in or with himself. Thank you for the “start”, lol. It’ll be hard for Penn to leave Nash behind when he has to go back home but the future looks bright. ☀️ 🕶
  13. This is a ❤️ and 😄
  14. *SIGH* I saw this update this morning and had to read it....threw my whole schedule off but it was worth it, lol. I love Nash’s self awareness and admire the hell out of his self control. (My “flesh” is way weaker than his) Mrsgnomie, you’ve painted such an obvious, detailed picture of two people deeply in love with each other without words AND still make the verbal acknowledgment highly desired. I eagerly anticipate the discussion these two need to have; I can’t even begin to imagine their first kiss and first sexual time together. This chapter was excellent foreplay.
  15. 😳🥺 Please don’t kill my chapter high....
  16. “Tell me I’m not crazy,” he pleaded. No, Penn, you aren’t crazy....This chapter however, made me crazy in the VERY best way possible. 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 I. LOVED. IT. Everything that should have happened happened...with extra❣️❣️ I will try not to go crazy before the next post. THANK YOU so much for the early extra post, by the way. 🙏 👏

    Chapter 14

Your whole review was excellent but it was your observations about Nisa that really resonated with me-She is insane in her obsession with Kastan and I don’t believe she will go willingly into marriage with someone else. Nisa’s death is coming....either through her machinations with the empress or from her own plotting but she will never live or let Kastan and his family live peacefully. I, for one, can’t wait.
  18. A progressive chapter of growth for Nash. There will be steps forward and backward on his journey to bachelorhood but he’s very aware of the boundaries he needs to keep in his relationships with Penn and Lee. If/when anything jumps off between he and Penn, it’s important to him that it has to be after the official end of his marriage (not that he thinks anything could happen between them, lol). Nash also wants nothing to do with being a side piece in Penn’s marriage either, no matter how irregular said marriage looks. There is something narcissistic about Lee, a disconnect in acknowledging or feeling any empathy for anything he’s done to Nash and their relationship (did he REALLY need to have it explained to him that he had to earn the right to touch Nash again?!?!) I wonder if he genuinely loved Nash or if he loved how much Nash loved him? Nash cutting his hair after Lee touched it and liked it was an act of empowerment that shows he’s definitely moving on. It was good to see a mature conversation between Nash and Shayla, I think it helped the both of them. I hope Nash has a great vacation and that he doesn’t come back to any crap pulled by the two Anuses. (Interesting that their “relationship” seems to be over now that it’s out there....Or is it?)

    Chapter 20

Funny, I thought the books would all be part of this story, it didn’t occur to me there would be a “complete” on this story yet, lol. I thank you for leaving everyone alive (at least physically). While David and TC faced what we knew about them from chapter one, I must admit to some confusion on David’s reaction; Both are Doms and David was willing to subjugate himself to TC’s will for a while, why would being in love with your best friend make you want to run away? I thought that was the ideal. Is it that David submitted in a way he never thought he could with TC or anyone else? Is David having an identity crisis? Or does he feel emotionally raped by TC? This ending was very sad but as I mentioned before, David and TC have a very strong emotional connection, I believe something can be worked out, although I also think there has to be some bending on TC’s part as well. I look forward to where you lead these two with the next book. Blessed safety to you and your loved ones. 🙏
  20. Another cheating spouse?!?! Damn, Cam.
  21. But I knew there was a real chance I wouldn’t experience love again and that made me sad. **** Penn and I stopped making plans. He just showed up at the cottage everyday and we did life together. It was nice. It helped me feel normal. Nash, Nash, Nash. Smh. A nice chapter of Nash adjusting to his new normal (which includes a lot of Penn). I don’t know what to think of his and Cam’s marriage but if they are split or separated, it seems amicable. For all his going on about telling each other everything, there is something going on in Penn’s life that he isn’t sharing with Nash; His brothers know what it is, too-would they treat Nash and Penn like a couple if Penn were happily married? Listening to slut, I mean Lee, whine about him and his boo made me realize another appointment Nash needs to make: to get tested for std’s, unless that’s part of his racing requirements and he knows he’s clean.

    Chapter 19

    Chapter 19

“Well, only one more chapter left in this part. I'm still looking for the cliffhanger I seemed to have misplaced.“ Grrr. That cliffie better have everyone physically whole. (And alive!!) TC proved invaluable to David again; David can handle himself and doesn’t need someone to take care of him but it’s oh so nice to have someone around who wants to (and does so quite efficiently too). For all that is made of TC’s Super Dom, all the things he’s done for David are things that any caring significant other would do. David isn’t used to being on the receiving end of caretaking and that has his Dom bristling a bit. I look forward to them all being in the same state and much closer to each other. I also harbor curious anticipation to the assessment David and TC will do of their relationship and where it will take them.
  24. Damn. Oookay 😏 (although I was just fine with the way it was, lol!!)
