What a very insightful summary of the first chapter, really enjoyed reading it. It actually helped bring the story back to me a bit, since it has been a while. I'll say right now, that the Father dynamic in this story is my favorite thing about the story in general. I loved writing his character.

Who even says that you have to flirt? Just taking time out of your day to strike up conversations. Keep it as casual as you can and just be friendly and get to know them on a personal level that they are comfortable with. You say you're friends, but it is new, so flirting might out and out scare them, but sometimes it is better to make people comfortable and safe around you so they can open up, instead of forcing any sort of thing onto them as in flirting.. etc.

I liked writing Tania as well. Someone that really knows what's going on inside the household instead of what the parents project and how they want Jason to act outside the house as well.

Wow, sorry! I missed this comment from ages ago... mercy. Here it is about 3 years late. I really liked the character of Adam, he's probably one of the more dynamic characters I have written for any of my stories.

Being 17 was a bit slow paced for me, but I liked it. God's Own Country was really nice. Although, I must admit I had to turn on the sub-titles, those accents and slang terms were difficult to decipher at times. The Weekend is a nice film as well.

Yes, it was. The relationship happened so quick.. so the end was just as quick to make it a bit balanced.

Yes. Smelling is a very important sense. It triggers the most memories, you can recall things better if there is a smell involved rather than relying on sight, taste, etc. I still remember that Aaron smelled like gain laundry detergent, coffee, and cinnamon gum the first time we met. With that memory, I can easily recall the time, day, what I was doing, what I was wearing. To be more on topic though, we do somewhat choose our mates based on that sense, it is a qualifying factor, a strong one.

I like where I'm living now. I like being close to family, but also the seclusion of the country. I disliked living in a city, even one as small as the ones in Kentucky, there are no sprawling major cities in the state really. I know I am not made for anything bigger. So, I will stick to where I am with the family that I have around me. If I were to change though, I think I would change countries not states. Mid-western Canada, Ireland, South Africa maybe (just to be close enough to go on safaris whenever I wanted to).

They're both really hot right now.. I'd want to see... Michigan win though. The team I think will win though is Villanova by 10-12ish. I just think they're the best team in the nation and have been all year to be honest.

Lol! I am hiding the others in Google Docs at the moment. I've sadly not done a lot of writing, but hopefully my schedule will wind down a bit. I didn't write the death scene of Alex because I really didn't know how I wanted him to die. Car accident? Cancer? Hate Crime? It would mean a lot of writing I honestly didn't think I could stomach.. lol. I fell in love with Alex myself, so it was just better to have him die "off screen," so to speak. Like I said though, if I had this story to do over again, Alex would still be alive. But it was the idea of a "full circle," idea I had for this Anthology. First Meeting, First Kiss, First I love you, Anniversary, then the anniversary of the death of one character ending the story. I get so invested in the characters in my writing, that if this story was of length/serial I wouldn't be able to kill them off, but the anthology allowed me to do that. If that makes sense.

As long as Duke, North Carolina, UCLA, Syracuse are no longer in the tournament, I'm good. I'd like to see Loyala-Chicago go on, but Villanova or Michigan winning won't upset me either. Not a big fan of Kansas though.

The story is on hold right now unfortunately.. I have been working on it, but it has been slow. I ran into a bit of a motivation + loss of free time wall and I'm just now attempting to try and get back into the swing of things.
