  1. I'm good with goat cheese, especially the cranberry or honey versions that Aldi has.
  2. Cheese.... yaaaaaassssssssssss!! I hope everyone's day goes better than mine. As soon as I got to work my maintenance guy tells me he hit the phone/internet line. They didn't bury it deep enough. It was only about 2 inches down. Good grief! At least they'll be able to come out within a couple of hours to fix it. Happy cheesing!
  3. That was an extremely interesting article. My dad owned a service station for over 20 years. After he died we found out he had chronic lymphocytic leukemia and found out years earlier and never told anyone. I've always wondered if exposure to leaded gasoline contributed to it. When my younger son was about a year and a half old he had an elevated lead level. We never found the cause but his pediatrician monitored it for a while and it eventually dropped to normal levels. Studies have shown that even small increases can have adverse effects. He grew up with learning issues and now has mental health issues that are probably exacerbated by the increased lead. Clair Patterson should be hailed as a hero. I hope everyone has a good day! (Take a nap tim!)

    Chapter 20

I'm here... training a new pack of Belgian Malinois puppies as guard dogs.
  5. It's not hard to fit in. Quiet works, boisterous is fine, food speak is fluent, and craziness is commonplace. So welcome aboard!
  6. Oh, the places you'll go! Have a great day everyone!
  7. @Mikiesboy.... get your flabby butt down here and bring the bread. 🤣
  8. I've got my shepherds pie going. You're right.. the meat mixture looks gross, but it smells good. Lol. Just have to wait for the onions to pickle... I'll add those to the veggie layer. I should have done those first. Have a great day everyone!
  9. I've contemplated using our "good stuff". The problem is I have too much of it. Not only do I have the stuff we got for our wedding but I have my mom's 16 piece place settings and stuff that goes with it. I guess if I didn't want to load the dishwasher or hand wash dishes for a couple of weeks I'd have enough to do so but that would be mighty gross.
  10. Try 1 part Dawn dish detergent and 2 parts vinegar in a spray bottle. Let sit for a few minutes and then mop.
  11. Unfortunately situations like this are all too common. It's too bad the poor horse is the one who has to suffer stress. The owner will be lucky to ever get the horse to load nicely in the future. People can be such idiots. Update on the ankle... not any better, but not worse either. The brace is being ordered today (once I fork over $600😯😖) so hopefully relief is only a few weeks away. I've given up on getting any sort of prescription painkillers... our medical system is too messed up. I've been trying (3 doctors) for over a month.... nothing. Yet I can take my dogs to the vet and get tramadol in a heartbeat. Sigh. I hope everyone has a good day! Enjoy your walk @Mikiesboy... move that butt!! Lol
  12. If there's one thing I hate it's getting all sweaty. I wouldn't mind working out if not for this unfortunate occurrence lol. Be thankful he's not poking your bony butt with a walking stick..🤣🤣🤣 I wouldn't put it past him.
  13. What is it with the men getting all hot and sweaty today?
  14. I didn't know this when I decided to make some garlic parmesan bread in the breadmaker.. lol

    Chapter 12

I wouldn't go so far as saying evil... snarky as hell wielding a sarcastic whip is more like it. Oh look... 1st on 2!

    Chapter 12

You better start running as fast as your stubby little legs will go.
  18. Lately I've lost all trust in my body... it's been a traitorous b!+€#. But I'm learning to move past what I can't change and embrace what I can. This too shall pass. Have a good weekend everyone!
  19. Ranch came with it. I prefer a nice light Italian or a raspberry vinegrette. It was still good though.
  20. I did know that chocolate chip cookies were invented in Massachusetts. We were taught that in school.. lol. Did you also know that they came about by accident? Ruth added chocolate pieces to her cookie batter thinking they would melt and make chocolate cookies. They were originally called Butterdrop Do Cookies and were bite sized. Just some fun facts for a Wednesday. Hope everyone has a good day!

    Chapter 10

Luckily it's not anything super major. I've had issues with my ankle. Went to the podiatrist and one round of oral steroids, one steroid injection, and one MRI later... I have Posterior Tibial Tenosynovitis. In plain English, my left ankle tendon is chronically inflamed. I have been fitted for a brace and am waiting for that to me made. To add insult to injury, I've taken so much ibuprofen that it affected my kidneys and now I'm not allowed to take any sort of anti-inflammatory. On Thursday, I left a message for my podiatrist to ask for a prescription for Tramadol and haven't heard back. Because I've been overcompensating for the ankle, the bursitis in my right hip has decided to flare up. I went to Urgent Care yesterday and there was literally nothing they could do other than to suggest topical lidocaine. They didn't have a license to dispense any kind of narcotic/opioid (which Tramadol is a mild form of). The best they can do is tell me to go to a pain management center. Our medical system is messed up... I can get Tramadol for my dogs easier than I can get it for myself. It makes no sense. So I spent the weekend in pain, cranky as all hell. Today, I will be on the phone, or at my primary care until I get something.

    Chapter 10

True... I've had a rough couple of months health-wise and all y'all's antics made a not-so-great day better. 🙃
