So....... I'm heading back to Florida tonight. In the past, every single time I've left Massachusetts, it was always with a heavy heart because its the place I've always considered home. This time, I'm ok with leaving because I've made the decision to move back. A lot of factors have contributed to the decision. Now that my parents are gone, there's really nothing tying me to the area. I have a much broader support system in Mass. The day after I told a good friend I was moving back, the next day she was planning an evening out to see a cover band when I get back. I have movers all set up and will be packing up the rest of our place this week. The truck should be there Saturday and we'll head out after we finish cleaning. Ive always hated packing and moving. This time I will be smiling as I tape up boxes. I'm going home. ❤️

Yeah... that was fun switching over from AC to heat. Gotta love that burnt-dust-in-the-ducts smell stanking up the place. I actually pulled out the sweatshirts and long-sleeved shirts. But in general, Florida has become too overcrowded, overdeveloped, and overheated in the summers. I'm not a fan of heat index temps of over 100 for nearly four straight months.

I begrudgingly will admit that she's sweet and cute. Still not anywhere close to being bestie with my dog, but they can now be on the floor within close proximity and neither gets maimed.

And then there's the odd weird dream or dog walk that sparks an idea that's totally off the rails from what and how you normally write and it turns into a three story series 😝

I hope you feel better hon! I've been enjoying the nice New England weather. Its been warm (70s/80s) so far with low humidity. Today is the last day my older boy and his wife will be here. We're going over my best friend's house tonight for pizza and game night. Then they are headed out to upstate New York for the rest of the week to do some hiking and sightseeing Have a good day everyone!

Dunkin's donuts are nowhere near as good as they used to be. I don't get them very often as they aren't made on site anymore (after the Dunkin Man died no one wanted to get up and make the donuts). They're so much better from the local mom and pop places. Warm Krispy Kremes are da bomb! Lol
