Ok Wayne, let's talk. Beside him, Taggert didn’t drink right away. He held the glass loosely, watching the room, not tense, exactly, but not relaxed either. His gaze flicked from the door to the bar, to the people at the tables. Always moving. Always aware. Whatever Taggart has been through has honed his situational awareness to a razor sharp point. The man always knows what's going on around him. Is it a good thing? Probably. Could it be a bad thing? Potentially. We shall see. Then there's this: Close enough to catch the way his eyes flicked, not to the table, not to the room-- To Ash's lips. Then up to his eyes. And they stayed there for a beat. Looks like Ash's situational awareness skillz are pretty sharp too. Then we end this way: He didn’t dare move. Not with Taggert leaning into him like that. Not with whatever the hell this was sitting heavy in his chest and in the pit of his stomach. And lower. That part didn’t make any sense at all. And it wasn't going anywhere Somebody's inner gay boy is waking up. Question is...how long will it take him to figure it out? Well played Wayne.

I've been in such a slump for the past 2 years. I started 2 stories, stalled, then started a 3rd. I think the 3rd time is a charm though because I just finished up chapter 17 and have a pretty clear vision of how I want the rest of it to go. Its been a long road, but I think I'm close to the end. The captain has informed us that there is a ....... thing.......with the plane and will advise us as to when we can begin boarding. Thankfully not my flight. But really, a thing? We're off to Kansas tonight to see my elder spawn for his birthday. I'm not a fan of taking the last flight of the day but it made the most sense as they have a wedding this afternoon. We don't get in until just after midnight. His birthday is Tuesday and for his present I got us tickets to see the Royals get beaten by the dreaded Yankees. But I did spring for decent seats so we'll have fun. I'm so excited to see my son and daughter-in-law. Hopefully the flights are on time. 🤞 Have a good weekend everyone!

So far Kitt holds the longevity trophy. I've been with my hubby for 40 years, married for almost 34. It's been a lot of ups and downs. Marriage isn't a smooth, straight road, that's for sure. It's easy to love someone and want to smack them upside the back of the head at the same time. I'm positive he thinks the same way about me lol.

Get the mattress. Worth every penny. We had to get a new stove in November and I convinced my MIL to spend the extra $100 for the model that had the steam cleaning feature. I know tim likes the new kitchen toys.

My dear friend, I'm sorry that you are fighting a battle not very many people can even dare to fathom. There is no one-size-fits-all treatment. The best you can do is listen to what your doctors as suggest and weigh the pros and cons carefully and hope to hell something will help again. People say, you'll be okay, just rest, take care of yourself, just take a walk, get fresh air. Presently, i'm struggling to do any of those things. Of course to you're struggling. You've dealt with a lot in the past year. Your struggles are real. It might suck, and you might not feel like it but it's good that Michael is dragging your ass out for a walk and Brutus needs to sniff every blade of grass just to find 'the right spot'. Its good to get out of the house to eat on hot days. Its in the upper 80s here and I went out with a friend for a pedicure and late lunch. So, in other words, the boys are on their own for dinner. I'm not going to be hungry lol. They'll survive. There's plenty of leftovers and if they're desperate I think there's a frozen pizza downstairs. Glad you're enjoying your new air fryer!

Awwwww.... if a panda wasn't already my spirit animal, I'd want it to be a beaver. He's cute! So....nothing slaps you harder in the face than the reality that you are far removed from your 25 year old self than deep cleaning carpets with a rented rug cleaner that feels like you're trying to drag 1000kbs. It took 4 hours, but I'm done. Oof, my arms got a workout!

Things that make me go "hmmm" I had a woman named Clueless inquire via email about an apartment at our second property which is a 20-30 minute drive depending on traffic. She wants to see it as soon as possible. After a bit of back and forth via email, she agrees to that afternoon at 430, which works out for me because I can clock out from there and not have to backtrack to the office and that location is closer to the highway to go home. Call comes in to office: Me: Thank you for calling blah blah blah... Her: My name is Clueless and I'd like to see one of your apartments at your XXX property. Me: (looks at the caller ID and sees that it is the same name as I just finished emailing 20 minutes earlier and she confirmed her appointment time.) Ummm, is this Clueless? Her: Yes Me: I just emailed you the information for our appointment at 430. Her: Uh, oh. Okay. Umm, where am I going? Me: Gives her the address (which is also in the email) 328 XXX Street. I will meet you in front of building 344. Her: 320 YYY Street Me: No, 328 XXX Street Her: ok, 320 XXX Street. Me: 328. Her: ok. What time? Me: 430 Her: ok got it, 400 Me (sigh) 430. I give her the address again. I will email you all of the information so you'll have it. (Which she already has) Her: ok, thank you We end the call. I email her the address, where I will meet her, color and make of vehicle I drive and office CELL number (this is important) 5 minutes later ... Phone rings. Guess who? I then have to reiterate all of the information. Again. She repeats it back incorrectly 2 times and I remind her that I emailed her ALL of the info she needs. So....at 400, I drive over to the other property, was there by 425, and park EXACTLY where I said I would be. And wait. And wait And wait some more, constantly looking around and watching all the cars that come in. All were residents. 500 comes and I clock out and go home. I come in this morning and have exactly 5, yes, 5 voice mails from this woman on the OFFICE number saying she is there and doesn't see anyone. This is a small property. There is only one driveway in and out. All of the apartment blocks are clearly numbered. I'm sure this woman must have some sort of disability because her memory was complete shit. I knew going over there that she wouldn't get it right. I may have to use this scenario in a story. Its rainy and raw today. I'm not going over to the other property again. My maintenance guy can show her if she calls back. So yeah.... things that make me go hmmm. Have a good day everyone!
