    Chapter 40

Book 3 will be a little bit. I think I'm about halfway there after a couple months derailment. Thanks for reading and I'm glad you enjoyed the stories. Don't forget to recommend if you haven't done so. Also follow my author profile so you'll be notified when the third story comes out. Fingers crossed it won't be too long.

    Chapter 1

Have you been present for any of our recent chats? You do realize the current situation my brain cells are in, yes?

    Chapter 1

It was not clarified in that paragraph. It was only when she was at the register with the pods that you knew where she'd been.

    Chapter 1

Your whacked out brain slays me, my friend. You forgot something though: Produce department? Peachy. Meat? Only a chicken would hide there. Dairy? Completely cheesy. Electronics? Easy game and no difficulty. Pet section? Nothing to bark at. Coffee aisle? how about adding "no perks here" 😜🤭
  5. I'm sorry you've got that sort of pressure. I get it. Even though the snowbirds are gone there are projects that have to be done here. Communication has always been an issue and with everything else going on it's overwhelming. I've decided to do online therapy. Our insurance covers it, including phone sessions once a week with a therapist. I need it. There's an app with daily homework and coping strategies. It's a small step, yet it feels huge.

    Summer Fun

Things have settled into a calm holding pattern for now. Still working some stuff out but it's no longer a tsunami. Thanks.

    Summer Fun

These are cute and fun. The dog days of summer are here for sure. We need some rain. I'll probably be kicking myself in two months for saying that but.... Thanks for bringing a smile to my decidedly long and boring Friday afternoon. Just staring at the clock waiting to go home.
  8. It's good to see the group working so well together. The large group of zombies, hmm, could be advantageous to getting rid of them. Sort of like leading lemmings off the cliff. Love the new realizations between Mark and Wayne. They need to embrace their love for what it is. Great chapter Wayne.

    Chapter 40

It's a serious situation that I'm not in the right place mentally or emotionally to write right now.

    Chapter 40

I know. I know. Unfortunately, I've had life throw a lot of crap my way the past couple of months. It's been a challenge just to function as a normal person. I'm trying to get back on track. I promise.
  11. I hope you heal quickly. I can relate. I dislocated my right shoulder once and couldn't use that arm for several weeks. It's hard. Get better soon!

    Chapter 40

Wow. Something I can't take the blame for.
  14. I like this one. It's a fresh week and I'm optimistic that it will be better than last. Have a good week everyone.

    The Unsung

It might just be my frame of mind of late, but the one line that stands out for me is this: Where truthfulness is a holy myth So many of us are chasing the myth when it comes to ourselves.
  16. It's great to see you got your mojo going with this one. I loved the new direction the story is taking. Things don't look quite so dire. But then again, it's a fictional story filled with zombies so anything can happen. Ohhhh.. btw, Mr. Buck? Early 50s? He's not that old Wayne, NOT THAT OLD!

    Chapter 26

Haven't had anything bite me yet in that genre.
  18. Series are difficult to write no matter what approach you take. I've learned that with my Hybrid Journey series. I think the biggest obstacle is life. It tends to get in the way. The first story in my series got put to the side after 8 or 10 chapters because at the time, I didn't have the maturity as a writer to develop it properly. I flew through the 2nd story. Now in the middle of the 3rd and final story, I find myself searching for the a) time, b) energy, c) ambition, d) motivation, etc, because life has decided to throw some difficult challenges at me. Authors face obstacles and we can only hope our readers will understand and be patient.
  19. They don't do that. Nobody wants to "get involved". 🙄 Recently had to speak to a resident who was looking after 2 granddaughters and letting them run wild in the community. They were hiding behind trash cans and jumping out at people as they drove by on their golf carts or would chase after them yelling. Did anyone call 911? Not until I told the 4th or 5th person who complained that I couldn't do anything unless I had a police incident report. Ohhhh... the person who called repeatedly during my lunch yesterday? Saw 2 people walking around the shuffleboard courts with something that looked like towels in their hands. Ummm... maybe they were going to the pool? SMH. I love my job (said sarcastically) Is it Friday?
  20. I think Di Niro could pull it off, no problem!
  21. Hero, schmiro. I'm talkin' Robert DiNiro.
  22. I could hang a flashing neon sign an there are a few people who wouldn't believe it applied to them. I had someone open my office door when I was in a meeting with my boss and another manager. In. A. Meeting. My boss looked at me incredulously and I just said "Welcome to my world." LOL I now lock my door too.
  23. Pet peeve of the day: People..... Between the hours of 12n and 1pm please don't: 1. Call my office number, hang up then call my cell and not leave a message. Or even worse... repeat. 2. Rap on my closed window and you can see the lights are off. 3. So help me, I will not guarantee anyone's safety if you attempt to open my office door which is in the same position as my window- Closed! It's safe to say I am at lunch. LEAVE ME ALONE! I get 20-30 minutes a day. Whatever issue you have can wait. Thank you. I hope everyone else enjoys a quiet lunchtime and has a good rest of the week. 🤪
  24. Thanks Reader. Unfortunately things aren't great, but I've got an amazing support system who have bolstered me immensely the past few weeks. Time is the only that will help at thus point.
  25. Unfortunately not tonight. Things have rolled downhill pretty fast. My heart feels crushed and I really wish I could talk to my mom.
