  1. What's a story without a few red herrings? And cliffies. And the awesome twisty-turnies? I'm now thoroughly invested in the story. Great writing. The editing ain't bad either. (Luv ya tim! 😘)

    Fly!

That and a voice box. Can you picture the lemmings running toward us in cute little miniature gladiator outfits yelling Chaaaarge! We'd be screwed.

    Fly!

Stubborn Cow-man indeed. You've got a warped mind, my friend.

    Discoveries

This was a great building chapter. It's not often that you see characters so upfront with each other so early in their relationship. You can't build anything unless there's a solid foundation and these two have laid it down (yes... double entendre..lol)
  6. You're a little extra spicy today aren't you?
  7. Unless you count the blisters on the end of my fingers from typing all the suggestions. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Great way to end the story!
  8. Dominic swiping Dylan's phone..😅😅 Lock your phones peeps... just do it. Otherwise, kids and pain in the ass siblings will run with it. Every. Time. (My brother learned the hard way after a certain sister changed his background photo not once, not twice, but three times. Close up of the nostrils, close up of the inside of her mouth and a close up of the crease of her bent elbow. Sucker.)

    Life ... Really?

You are in such an amazing place right now and I'm so proud of you. Sometimes it's hard not to focus on the negative, especially when it brings you into a headspace that's not a good place to be. We all need reminders everyday of what's good in life. Having a support system is crucial. Thanks for the reminder to stop and focus on the good stuff (like donuts) xoxo
  10. Where's the fun in that?
  11. Life without donuts would be a sad place.
  12. It's so fascination how the mind works!
  13. I just read a little about it while I waited for my Uber. It's amazing how many intricacies the human brain has that differ from person to person. I remember in 6th grade our teacher gave a class assignment. She read a description from The Hound of the Baskervilles. It was the exterior of a house and the walkway leading up to it. We had to draw what she described. 30-some odd kids in the class and there were 30-some odd different versions. One kid drew a square. I'm willing to bet he has anphantasia. Out of curiosity... is it just visual for you, or does it affect your other senses?
  14. Anytime I visualize a sunset, it's always on the water. Blazing red & orange. I can see the waves crashing on the shore and the gulls as they fly.
  15. Quirky names can be fun. It's when parents take a perfectly normal name and spell it like they're trying to induce an aneurysm in Vanna White. Alexander= Alyxzandur Really?
  16. I've missed you too, boo!
  17. I found it doing research!
  18. Not necessarily. It's not always associated with sex. It's an amazing art form. Google won't melt.
  19. Thanks for the explanation. I may have to use this one. It could come in handy, lol. @chris191070 look who's 1st on page 2! 🤣🤣🤣
  20. I love learning new phrases. This one struck me funny: Don’t take the piss I have a vague idea of it's meaning from the context. It sounds like a great way to tell someone to stop screwing around. You did a great job establishing a connection between Jamie and Mike. I loved the bantering and teasing. The kiss was the icing on the cake.
  21. The Japanese also introduced the art of Shibari to the world. They have my vote!

    Temptations

I enjoy reading your description of UK policing procedures. Our system in the US is as effed-up as everything else. Long gone are the days when it was a profession that was repected and admired. I find the differences in American English vs British English fun to see. I've always wondered why you say "we're taking him to hospital" while we say "we're taking him to the hospital." It's one of those odd instances where a noun is not preceded by an article (although I've seen it referred to as a 'function' word too). Another great chapter!

    Always so greedy.
  24. Yay for Friday! Overall, my first week at the new job was good, even though I got brain-fried yesterday and went the wrong way going home. 🙃 ... got on the highway which is north-south. I had to go west. 🤣🤣 Only added about 10 minutes. 🤦‍♀️ Have a good day everyone!
