    Chapter 38

Great stuff. One of THE best crime stories on the site! Jealous as hell!
  2. Not sure if full details would offend the GA guidelines! Just let’s say it was nasty and extensive. The other fled in horror and woke me up alerting me to the disaster. Fingers crossed for tonight
  3. It was a cold 18°C here today (64°F). Wieners were hidden under duvet all morning whilst I washed bed linen after 001 vomited all over my bed at midnight…….
  4. Celebrate well! Great speech at Davos yesterday from a Canadian - v rare standing ovation
  5. Thank you all. Went for walk with Amparo and the dogs, she is so amazing. She is Planning to go to Paris to sing in massed choir Messiah in June. If she does so she will have survived longer than first medic predicted. 🤞
  6. As ever, a joy to read and to see Granger back in my beloved Spain even more!!
  7. Pretty depressing day. My dearest friend has not achieved progress in her fight against stage 4 cancer, despite costly treatments twice weekly in Madrid. And now another friend has admitted that his prostate cancer is actually not as “light” as he led me to believe. Plus awful train crash in southern Spain. Uff. Not the greatest Monday.

  15. Thank you so much! Trying to get the details correct was time consuming. How @Mark Arbour has done it for years in his Bridgemont series is amazing.
  16. Oh yes, I was a disco diva in younger days! I even shook hands with the cowboy from Village People in a huge club in London in the 80s.
  17. By chance or design, it was now December 26, St Stephen’s Day, a special anniversary in Ximo’s story. He and the guys had met up a couple of times for dinner, either in the bar or in Jack and Joan’s rental cottage and he had shared his story as promised. After he finished described that day with Gerardo, over fifty years ago, Ximo fell silent. He let his arm fall and gently stroked the young dachshund at his side. Neither Jack nor Joan spoke for a while. Jack shared out the remains of the b
  18. To be revealed in due course! Remember at the start it mentioned Ximo’s political tendencies…

    Chapter 33

Sounds like you have some fun friends!
  20. It was definitely good to be back in my lovely, little (okay, not so little) apartment. I had wanted to rush back at first light but that would have been strange. Also, my father had driven me down into the centre as I had quite a lot of luggage, far more than I had arrived with on Christmas Eve, all those new goodies they had bought for me! I wondered about that. We had loaded the car with the presents, plus bags of goodies from the kitchen; my parents’ cook had been with them for years a
  21. Yep, spot on Andy! I love how Troy’s stories have the ability to go from the mundane to out and out passion almost in the same sentence! Great stuff.
  22. What a bastard! I hope he gets his comeuppance…
  23. Extremely!
  24. Well spotted! You get a gold star ⭐️ she is now wearing Chanel 👏
