    @MichaelS36 was so so right when he told me to get rid of old oven even though it had started to work agin. Guess what? Yep, died again on a Sunday morning just as I was going to cook roast potatoes…. New one should arrive v soon…. I hope.

    Yes please! We went for a short walk with the evil wieners at the beach. Car temp was 36°c on return. And it’s not June for another six hours! 😱

    Never have I ever drunk a glass of cola. Whoops wrong game! Used to be a big Fanta limón fan but now go with Schweppes limón cero. Strong flavour of lemons and sugar ‘free’.

    Reminds me of three school mates visiting Morocco at a tender age of 19. They decided to buy ingredients in the market and following a recipe in a book added garlic - an entire bulb instead of one clove….. “Encore de papel de toilette, si vous plait….”

    They don’t like bad taste! Not as obsessed as the Italians I knew when living in Italy, but this ‘outfit’ is a no no. Better to go naked.

    So Alex’s dilemma continues to hurt: accept it’s over and move on v keep trying to reconnect. I’m very much the former but my best friend is a proponent of the latter. Alex is discovering which he is. A fascinating tale, Robert, thank you.

    I fear such an outfit would provoke amused disapproval, as it were, on our local beaches. Further south, who knows. On the local beach where I lived a few years ago, the outfit would taken off v quickly!
