This Lle Wilson story is a bit different and focuses on entering into a very new world for the protagonist, Manny. It’s a rollercoaster ride for him and us readers, as well! as ever, with Lee, there is an edgy style that I for one, really enjoy. So, dive in, sit next to Manny in the lawyer’s office and reflect if you would have said yes or no…… A great read.

What @centexhairysub said! Robert is a master of how to pitch and control descriptive writing. He manages to paint pictures of characters so distinctively any yet so concisely. I felt I was standing there just outside the loggia capturing passing comments. @Robert Hugill I think this story is possibly your best. Thank you.🙏 -
My knowledge of Mannerism is virtually zero, so thank you for stimulating me to explore…… not sure if I would buy any of FH’s collection ( even if I had the money) but give me some more Hockney’s and I would be a happy boy!

An utter delight. I’ve spent a couple of hours catching up on this story and it has not been disappointing. Very nice writing, as usual, but I have to say that “Mother” is one of @Robert Hugill’s best creations. A perfect don’s wife.

Lee, once again you’ve got me hooked in to one of your tales. I’m a late arrival to this one but with a holiday on Monday and retirement next Friday, I should be caught up. I really enjoy both the story line but also the way you really develop your characters into people we can emotionally engage with. Well done! -
Two young thieves find more than just fruit. This is a lovely short story of life in a bush town. But best of all, for me, is the quality of the writing. The author has great skill. Well done

I would imagine the start of the (opera) season… The summer coastal cruise is turning out to be a revelation. What will the start of the London season be like? George’s stuffed brother will be dripping with envy…. as Will others of Granger’s circle. Wow! 🤩
