This sure was a fun read. I wasn't sure how everything would be wrapped up in one Chapter but it was done quite well! -
I don't even like sports but this story sure is enjoyable. It's well written and paced. There is conflict but it doesn't seem over the top. One could see this happening. I wonder if the love interest in Shawn or his little brother???

Sometimes it's nice to read a story with lots of levity and not too much anxiety.

All this paranoia about visitors and talk of defenses. I wonder if this is foreshadowing something? Also, there have been decades back home do advance technology, so that faster travel may already have been invented on or near Earth.

I think your environmental views and positions on animals are ridiculous. That's okay, we have different opinions. What's more important is that I'm really enjoying your story - that means you are doing a great job telling it. It's fun and it's cute.

Great start. The vocabulary in the first few paragraphs is overwrought. The tone is fun, and the first chapter has a strong ending.

I agree with you @pickuptoy. @quokka has some nice imagination but he retells the same story repeatedly. There's never any action and the characters have odd traits and plot twists. My favorite story of his is one where these brothers settle and se tup a farm in Australia. It was brilliant.

The passenger manifest is very diverse with lots of ethnicities, religions and cultures. Because the overall population is small, would it be better to have a culturally mixed population or a more homogenous population (w/ enough genetic variety)? Arguments could be made in either direction: Homogenous. Advantage would be a shared culture and religion, comfortable phenotypic variety. Similar beliefs. For a small colony getting started, this could avoid a whole lot of cultural and societal problems. Varied population. More genetic diversity, ability to collect best talent from several different counties. More interesting. Problem might be future ethnic/religious conflicts as population reaches medium size.

It has been some years since I've had the pleasure of entreating a large Norwegian set of balls and accompanying man unit. If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend it. I'm sure Granger will be taking advantage of the opportunity .... 🙄

Plans for succession on the ship and communication strategies would likely be decided before the Ark left. Why the paranoia? If another ship came, could two colony ships not be able to share an entire planet? I liked the news of solar system expansion near Earth, but just don't see value to the paranoia about visitors and their intention. Holding off on communications to Earth is most disloyal. We'll see where this goes! -
Oh what memories. This anime is truly terrible, yet quite entertaining to watch. My favorite part concerns the hilarious and naughty incestual twins, who are nicely satirized as Hikaru and Kaoru in Ouran High School Host Club. I suggest that one for your next review. Although it is not BL, it sometimes refers to it and it is one of the best anime/manga ever.

Junjo Romantica is very well done. The anime are excellent, if dated. YK is one of the best in the genre. Her baseball BL manga are hilarious.

Interesting review. Super Lovers certainly is problematic from a Western cultural viewpoint. It does feature a greater degree of character depth and complexity for a manga. It works better from a Japanese cultural perspective. I'm very surprised that the anime version made it to a major streaming service in the USA. Have you looked at Yamamoto Kotetsuko's "Brothers" which has similar themes but it less problematic and cringey? It's one of my favorite BL mangas.

Gravitation is definitely over the top. It's hard to watch the whole series because it gets so silly. -

Eh. I enjoyed the last couple chapters a lot. Not sure this chapter advanced anything in the plot or necessary characterization. The people seem to be spending a lot of their trip outside of stasis and I'm not sure why. -
