    Chapter 29

If i'm reading Alan's mind correctly it goes something like 'I love it when a plan comes together' and his plans are going well. The way he's going all of Clarion will benefit from him moving there.
  2. His knees were getting damp, kneeling on the wet grass, he was sure that there would be mud patches when he stood, but Christian did not care as he stared at the headstone made of marble in front of him. He read the inscription that bore the names of his birth parents, their dates of birth, followed by the date of death. Below that, the words read, 'Gone but forgotten. You will live on in my heart. Love John.' Christian was now eighteen, school was over, and attending University was in his

    Chapter 14

That is cruel brutal torture, anyone inflicting such treatment on a fellow human being should be locked up and have the key thrown away at the very least. I hope Max recovers from his treatment.

I like the way you handled everything it couldn't have been easy to write this chapter, but you dealt with a very emotive subject in a well written and realistic way.

  12. Ian and Kevin arrived at The Grenadiers Arms later than expected, they were immediately seated and served with a meal of Hunter's Chicken, baked potato and seasonal vegetables followed by a dessert of cherry pie and fresh cream. With appetites satisfied they complimented Martin on his fine cooking, before joining The Major, Marty and Martin for a relaxing end of the day drink. After the Inn was closed they all retreated to their respective rooms for a good nights rest. The following day after a

    Chapter 11

Another great chapter, you portray the angst felt by many gay men who have felt society's pressure to be 'normal' in a tactful and thought provoking way. What will Jason do now? Is there a point where Jason and Karl make a sexual connection? I'll be reading more to find out.

    Part 4

As the way I have been brought up and the life that I have had has made me the person that I am today, I try to apply that same principle to my characters. This helps to keep my work as close to real life as possible, the subject matter of homelessness and especially teenage welfare is something that my family takes seriously. The Boot series is based on a fictional shelter in Manchester, The Lost Soul series is a series of stories about the earlier life of a main character(s) from The Boot and hopefully explains what brought them together. I originally joined GA to read not write as I've never considered myself as a writer and still don't, so you comments mean a lot to me. Thank you.
  16. Remedial work had been carried out on the Thomas Street building. Roof insulation had been put in place, and windows had been replaced with double glazing that was tastefully done to look the same as the original windows. All plumbing, electrics and gas piping had been replaced to meet current standards. The decorating and furnishing were done to tastefully maintain the character of the building yet blend in with modern living. John had picked his room, or should that be rooms. They were furnish
