    Progress

Typical corporate bullshit where the only line that matters is the bottom line, forget the line that matters which is the customer line waiting to enter with cash in their hands. I say to my namesake 'Craig get out now while you still have your pride' or am I being melodramatic?

    Bed and Breakfast

The pace of this story reminds me something my dad used to say 'slowly slowly catchee monkey' and sometimes that is the best way, I'll bet you planned it that way and I like it. This is a story worth savouring.

    A Lazy Afternoon

I think that we all believe we have plenty of time, I know my father did and we as a family thought he would always be there. But like many others we found when he passed that time is never on our side so I understand where James is coming from, I just hope that the Craig in your story realises that before it is too late to make that change. Change isn't always easy but often it needs to be made. I like the way this is progressing and reflecting the reality of life, I'm looking forward to the rest of this story.

    To the Country

You are setting the scene wonderfully, I think I'm feeling a few pangs of jealousy but I'm not sure who I'm jealous of, James or Craig. Can I swap places with my namesake in this story lol 🤣 ?

    Back to Work

I like the way you started exactly where the first story ended with no messy catching up to do. I think that James is already having an effect on Craig and it looks like a good one, I've got my fingers crossed 🤞

    Chapter 1

Brilliantly well written, very descriptive setting the scene and the mood. It just goes to show that anything can happen when you least expect it and it has the possibility to open new doors that we don't expect to find. The only other thing I can say is that since you have written the follow-up I'm off to read it now. Thank you for sharing this wonderful story.
  7. It is a fictional story, but unfortunately based on too many actual events. Well written and articulated, I hope it makes a difference where it counts. This is told from the perspective of the ordinary person, not the hyped up media point of view. A compelling and thought provoking read.

    Chapter 4

A well written and articulated story, it is sad to know that it reflects actual events that have taken place in the US over many years. Fortunately here in the UK we have only had one such event. Whenever I see on our news programs that another such event has occurred my blood runs cold as I cannot comprehend how it affects the victims or their loved ones or that solid action is not taken to to try to prevent or minimalist the possibilities of it reoccurring. Politicians have a lot to answer for, the safety of innocent people especially children should be paramount. My heart goes out to the families and friends of those who have lost loved ones, and to the survivors and their families and friends who have an up-hill battle to overcome the physical and mental injuries that have been suffered over the years. Steps should also be put into place to recognise those who may behave in this way and to intervene to try to prevent further occurrences of this nature, these actions and more stringent controls should go hand in hand. My prayers are with those who have suffered as a result of these tragic incidents.

  10. A great short about one of the most important things in life, the love of true unconditional friendship. Thank you for a heartwarming story.
  11. We all have those moments where it feels like de-ja-vu, is it a dream come true, a premonition or something else? Who cares I love the idea of the fairy tale ending just the same as others do but we never admit it. It's nice short story, or is it modern day fairy tale?

    Chapter 1

Eerily, chillingly and spookily well written, it had the hairs on the back of my neck standing on end. Well written and worth the chills it sent down my spine while reading.
  13. An action packed start to a story that leaves you wanting more and descriptiveness that draws you in, it's a compelling read. I enjoyed it and I'm sure others will too.

    The Runner

I like it, written in such a descriptive way I almost felt as though I was there and you did have my heart racing in a few parts of the story. The open ended way that you left the story leaves it set up for a follow-up which I'd love read. If you do write a follow-up I'd like to see Jace walk free, but i doubt that would happen without one hell of a fight. Both Jace and his mum deserve a fresh start, Ty could even be part of that fresh start or am I asking for the impossible.

    Chapter 3

I could feel the tension of the shooting and the aftermath both inside and outside the hospital, the media obviously making matters worse just to boost viewing/reading figures. Both the farm and the golf course would definitely help to ease some of the tension would be considered a godsend by anyone. Unfortunately the upcoming media interview is likely to bring it's own level of tension. Another skilfully written chapter, thank you.

    Mom Hugs

A short emotional story about giving two of the most important things anyone can give, hope and the chance to build on that hope. A story to be read with a box of tissues handy.

    Mom Hugs

I think the movie you are referring to is Prayers For Bobby, it's a movie starts out really sad and moves on to being a very uplifting story. it's definitely a must watch in my opinion but be warned if you do have plenty of tissues to hand. This is a short moving story that definitely makes me think of that film and some of the youngsters that I've met in the past, you can't help all of them but you can give them hope and a chance to build on that hope. That is what Cathy has given to Jason and I believe what Nathan's House is all about, I love the story thank you for sharing.

    Chapter 2

Again very nicely done. A chapter that contains love, loss, happiness, sadness and traumatic times, all written with feeling and respect this is what draws us all in.

    Chapter 1

A very nicely written start and introduction to the story, it drew me in and left me wanting more. It definitely looks like one to read to the end.

A very fitting and beautiful end to this story, thank you for sharing I've enjoyed it. I think others may agree with me when I say that there is the opening for a follow-up, it would be great to find out what the future has in store for Ethan and Wayne.

It's not the outcome I would have liked but I'll take it if it means that the lads and the other students there get treated better.

I don't know how the law in the US applies to obtaining this piece of incriminating evidence, but I say use it and be damned. This scumbag needs to be held accountable.

    AOC 9

Definitely a more upbeat chapter and not too soon either. I hope the lads get the proof they are seeking but they need to be very careful. I think that Wayne's dad has seen and realised how special Ethan is to Wayne and approves, his message may not mean much to Wayne now but he will know given time.

    AOC 8

At the end of an emotional chapter describing the visit to Wayne's dad we get the bombshell. I know what what i would want to do but what will the lads do and will they tell Ethan's dad, I hope they do because there must be something that can be done.

Or maybe the world is going to fall out of their bottom hehe. I hope Ethan's dad can get some justice but I think he will have an up hill struggle in such an ultra conservative town.
