    Chapter 13

My apologies for the unexpected and unplanned break, I'll be getting back to writing as soon as possible.

    Maybe Later

Attraction and possibly love can hit, or trip you over at any time, lol. Do we get a follow-up? I'd love to know how far it goes, relationship not sex, lol.

    Chapter 1

A sweet story of Christmas make believe, oops I didn't mean to sat that there may be an elf listening. It's a sweet Christmas story as seen through the eyes of a child with hope and love in his/her heart (yes I know his name is just Jack but I'm trying to be politically correct here), just what we all need as Christmas approaches.

    Guardian

Given all of the circumstances and what was possible within those circumstances Orson being Elias's guardian is the best outcome. Now if Greg needs to fill the campsite I'm sure that there are a few of us at least that send a couple or more of our characters to camp out, though for mine it would be a long journey, lol 🤣. But seriously just get Greg to advertise in the gay press or contact some of the local authorities, surely they would have knowledge of people that could benefit from the respite? Each chapter is a pleasure to read, I hope there are plenty of them. 😀
  5. Before you can take a journey you have to discover it, or at least discover the start of the journey. This is a story of discovering the start of one young mans journey, told with tenderness that you can feel. definitely worth reading.

    Chapter 1

A beautifully told story of discovery, discovering the start of the journey and told with tenderness. I could easily read it again and will very soon.
  7. You forget he is a stubborn bugger and it is a real possibility that he is suffering from some form of PTSD that has affected his memory. It will come out in time, but that is a chapter or two in The Boot - Three Years On. There is a similar scheme here in the UK for abandoned bank accounts, but to be honest I'm not 100% sure how it operates, I'd better research that for the story.
  8. Marty and the Corporal stayed to give Ox support in this difficult time. Between them, they had a degree of success. Marty was instrumental in keeping Ox sober and away from the bottle. The Corporal kept on top of the mundane daily tasks, as he wasn’t used to Ox’s likes and ways he made some mistakes. It wasn’t as disastrous as it could have been. It caused Ox to take charge and start doing things for himself. Life was as near normal as possible for Ox, given the circumstances. A week after

    Chapter 13

After looking at the way other authors listed their stories I decided to follow suit. It keeps The Boot series in chronological order making it easier for both readers and myself. By introducing The Boot world it keeps all of the linking stories together, hopefully this also makes it easier for readers to follow them as they are posted. 😀 The final part of Lost Soul - The Ox is due to be posted either later today or tomorrow. Then it's decision time, which lost soul do I write next. 😀 🤔

    Chapter 13

Hopefully the lads can help The Major deal with his insecurities, he needs to so that he can build that future. Yep Bill got caught red handed which is good as he cannot get away with anything then. JJ will get the help that he needs to help overcome his bad experiences, all the adults can see that he needs it and agree, but like many of Danny and JJ's age Danny doesn't understand the importance of this. Jeff was called away on urgent business, he has something important to deal with, I don't know if we will find out what it is. 😉
  11. Ian and Kevin were walking through Piccadilly Gardens when they spotted a familiar figure going into the convenience store by the bus station, glancing at each other they nodded then broke into a sprint. As they entered, they spotted the familiar figure talking to the assistant asking for a bottle of single malt. “Are you sure you want this sir? You don’t look that well to me and I can see you’re upset.” The assistant looked concerned as he spoke. “Yes, I’m sure and don’t worry I have

    The Law

A beautiful opening to this chapter, although the relationships are very different we got two great scenes depicting love and trust, and the most touching one is of Elias and Orson. Then you fill it full of hope especially for Elias, I hope all goes well for both his emancipation and his first 'trip' into the business world. The latter could have a significant effect on the former (wow I surprise myself with that phrase) but I suspect that all will not be plain sailing and I suspect that Gary and the two local officers will be a great support during the 'battle' that Elias has ahead of him. Thank you for another great chapter.
  13. I have to agree with @Geemeedee, Christy is manipulative and I'd say she is something of a user. The date seems doomed before it's even started and I wonder how much Jake will be thinking about his mum, it looks like she is being controlled by his dad. Lot's to think about and there are some unanswered questions in this chapter.
  14. Nicely written, I like the story but you did leave me with a dilemma at the end. Should I leave an 'angry' reaction as that's how Jakes parents make me feel, or do I leave a 'love it' reaction as I love the fact that Jake is out of there? I left a like it reaction so I hope that's okay, but I am loving the story.

    Elias

Elias is safe for the time being, I hope he can stay with Orson then he can remain safe. And as for that bastard Danny I hope he gets what's coming to him, I'd be first in line to give him a few digs. Oops I think I got a bit carried away there, sorry. But Wayne you have to take some of the blame, when you write it it feels so real.
  16. Narrow minded parents, who'd have 'em, well I guess Jake's got them poor kid. Any kid would want run away, unless the brain washing had worked. I'll bet that if Jake was straight he would be just as bad.
  17. Unfortunately parents like this do exist, they may be few and far between but they are still there. Jake needs to be out of there pretty damn quick, if not he could end up permanently damaged. Let's hope he is mentally strong, he needs to be.

    Part 3

@droughtquake I think we share a similar sense of humour, I like it. I won't be writing a story for every character but there will be stories for the main characters, some may be joint stories in the case of couples.

    Part 3

You got it in one, 👍. There will be other Lost Soul stories to come at a later date. Oh and I hadn't thought about calling the Lost Soul series, but I like it thank you for that great idea.

    Part 3

I think we have similar problems over here, including the genetic condition. I think a lot of Ox's problems stem from that genetic condition, remember the saying, 'stubborn as an ox' ?
  21. A sad story of the end of a relationship, we've all been there at some point, but if you're an optimist like me you will see the hint of future hope and the happiness that is possible. A story to be read and one to look beyond. A definite recommended read. Oh just one warning though, have the kleenex ready.

    Part 3

Marty had got to know Ox well in Iraq, and with their renewed friendship they had become closer. The day Andy left for the barracks, he had sensed Ox’s discomfort. That was enough reason for Marty to try calling Ox several times a day. He needed to speak to his friend and find out what was troubling him. Since the call from Andy’s CO Ox hadn’t answered any calls and left them to go to his telephone answering machine, he didn’t want to speak to or see anyone. Out of concern for his friend, M
  23. A sad and upsetting story, that is if you dwell on what Dan has endured the last four years. But in a strange way it's heart warming at the end, that's because I try to be the optimist and can see that Dan has now given himself a chance to heal the hurt of the last four years and give himself a chance to be happy with someone who deserves him, he certainly deserves it. I'd love read a follow-up at some point letting us know how Dan gets on. Maybe it will also give Scott something to think about and hopefully change his ways, or am I being too optimistic?
  24. It's a short story full of tension and angst, with an out pouring of love at the end it's definitely a recommended read. Thank you for suggesting it.

    Story

This is the only way I can describe it. It's brilliant, tear-jerking with an end full of love. The tension and angst of the narrator is easily felt with in the first few lines. I'll probably read it again.
