It looks like the lads are living two separate lives, a home life which for any faults it may have is getting better all the time. But then there is the school life which is being interfered with by pricks and over zealous ultra conservatives, I'm looking forward to seeing them getting their just desserts so I really hope it happens.

I looks like the boys lives are moving forward in the right direction outside of school and I'm happy about that. But, hmmm it looks like every step forward at school has it's consequences and behind the scene they get knocked back, I really hope that Ethan's parents can step in when it matters and sort things out.

It's good to see the boys taking time to develop their relationship and even better to see that they are developing friendships with their peers, but again i hope that this progress is permanent when their relationship becomes known. As for Jackson and the other 'over the top' conservatives I think they are scum and get their comeuppance in time, but will they?

I like the way the relationship is building between the boys and I hope that the acceptance being shown to Wayne continues when Ethan's parents realise the connection they have formed, although I think Ethan's mum may have an inkling.

This is definitely getting more interesting and it looks like I'm learning something too from the comments left by others. To my mind Wayne is being abused and to hear that to some it was 'normal' at that time is horrendous. Also I'd never heard of the 'Windtalkers' and that sound interesting enough to find out more and I'm guessing I'll read more in this story.

A good interesting start, I think I'm going to like this story.

A great short spooky crime story that show compassion to a deceased teenager, the sort of compassion that her should have received when alive. A sad but satisfying read.

A spooky crime story I like it, it is a good story and one with a message wether it was intended or not. Homeless teenagers regardless of sexuality need our help, support and understanding not rejection. It's my guess that Scott's spirit needed the feeling of love, acceptance and value which he got from Jeremy, I just wish that Jeremy had spoken to Scott to help on his spirit on it's journey, or maybe Scott can 'reappear' to help Jeremy with other cases a bit like in the old British TV series Randall and Hopkirk.

The only thing that could have made this a better read, reading in the dark by candle-light on halloween. I loved it.

Momo has taken an important step, the support of Leo and his mom has no doubt helped and I hope will continue to help. As for Kane and Gyro I like these guys and hope they stick around I think that Momo will need their help again in the future. I'm liking this story more with each chapter, thank you @Thirdly

On the point of quality control let's be honest, it does exist it's in the form of the readers and site members as the numbers of those that read, leave feedback and comments judge the quality and most authors tend to take notice and improve. The point of being good or bad is subjective to one's own opinion, the old saying of 'one man's rubbish is another man' treasure' comes to mind and who are we to judge anyone's taste just because it isn't our own. Previous contributors have said that constructive criticism can help an author to develop and improve and this I agree with so maybe that is something that those who do not comment should consider. As some have suggested those comments may be better made in the form of a personal message as opposed to being publicly made, but before any comment is made consider how it may come across to the receiver as sometimes it could come across badly and cause offence so a choice of words or phrasing is critical when making such comments. I have never previously considered myself a writer and still don't but I have found some pleasure (and therapeutic benefit) in writing the few offerings that I have posted, some have enjoyed reading them others have not I know that from reactions and comments left, some have read without reaction or comment and that is their prerogative, while others have just ignored for reasons of their own again that is their prerogative. I hope that what I have posted has improved over time but only others can judge and let me know that. I'm sure that some can relate to this part. We all have remember that authors publish for many different reasons be that personal pleasure, a wish to improve on a skill, therapeutic reasons, may be to 'discover' themselves and a whole host of other reasons. If we start 'book burning' and otherwise not allow members to post we deprive others of realising hopes and dreams which are as varied as the reasons that they write. For some it may be that it is their only means of communicating meaningfully with others and who are we to to take that away from them. In conclusion I feel that the current system is good and not broken, so let's not try to fix what isn't broken and leave it as it is.

A great story of love acceptance so much more, I felt like I was there with them. A great read that draws you in.

The ups and downs of growing up, finding and losing friendship is a part of it and we don't all get experience the happy ending that Tristan gets. This a short but good read and leaves the possibility for @Bill W to expend and continue the story in the future, I hope he does as this could be the beginning of something bigger. A recommended read.

Life often has a way of bringing surprises and throwing us a 'curve ball', I wish that everyone could have the happy out come that Gavin and Tristan had but unfortunately life isn't always that good everyone. I hope you plan on expanding the story in the future, Tristan could have quite an impact on young growing minds.

Growing up can be an emotional roller coaster and I think it is captured well in Gavin and Tristan's story. I feel for them and hope that their future, separate or together, has a better outcome.

At least Momo has escaped before anything more could happen to him, hopefully he will now stay away from his dad and stay with the Kenari's.

Momo really needs to do something about his dad, yes I understand that it not easy for victims to gather the courage needed but I'm hoping that he takes something positive from the horrendous incident he witnessed and the comfort of knowing that he has good friends.
