  1. Your words are a like written symphony. 🙂 I understand, what you say. I grew up in Berlin, only a few hundred meters from the Wall. Behind our house was a small forest, a very quiet place but lots of natural noises. Not many people used to be there except my friends and me playing in the afternoon. After living in different countries and cities I came back to Berlin and there is no place, calming me down more than the forest, when I am closing my eyes listening to its familiar sound.

    Pi Day 2019

Awesome peom! When life is a circle, Pi reminds us not only to enjoy its full circumference, but also to fathom and put its diameter into ratio, doesn`t it? 🙂

    Two Blue Poems

Two very profound poems. Both hold thoughts, which touch me and to which I feel connected to. The plea of the loved person being able to carry on with life is so loving. And the ocean / sailing/ water motives of the second are wonderful. Thank you for sharing.

    Entropy

Fascinating poem. 🙂 So you found out that "the constantly changing" is some part of truth. Lyssa
  5. In German we call this: Vom Weltschmerz geküsst (= kissed by the world`s woe) and I think all poets know the feeling and are blessed to be able to express that. My favorite stanza is this, it brings a very strong connection to the reader: "Sometimes I am the eagle And sometimes I’m locked in place Never am I the moon, though Just a man on an unsteady pace" Thank you for sharing. 🙂 Lyssa

    Connect

Sometimes time does not seem to matter, if we meet someone, to which we really connect. It is just as we were out of the room for five minutes. A real timetravel maybe? I know this feeling and thank you for reminding me. I think I need to make a phone call right now and organize a little trip at easter. Thank you! Hugs Lyssa

    Chapter 16 Vote

Hi Gary, a very serious poem about an important topic. Maybe I have a little thing to contribute a bit of hope. At work, I have those wonderful students, who -when I took up the class- used to fight each other and see only bad things in each other. It seemed they had no solid ground to come together. But in the last year they worked hard to see each other in a different a good light and while doing so, they came to care about more than that and start to think about things. At the moment our topic is water, and they are so motivated to reduce the ocean pollution. This week we make our self a kind of wax-textile/oilcloth (no idea about the right English word) to use it instead of plastic foil. I know it is a tiny step, but tiny steps can lead to a path. But I am a lucky person, seeing every day hope growing. Lyssa P.S. In the meantime they have all become enthusiastic poetry writers. hehe 😉

    Insignificance

I was raised with the credo: Doubt everything you get told, at least once, even 2+2=4. Time will tell, if this is a good start to find Truth one day. Your poem seems also a beautiful start for this quest. 🙂 Lyssa
  12. That is majorly fascinating. It is, as if you can hear, where music went from there in our time. So many ways music envolved later are already lying in this short little piece. Every time I hear it, I feel the breath of time rushing through me. 🙂

    Unreal and Real

Excellent question! Maybe it should be more important, what is real to ourselfs? Like your great poem is real for example and it reaches out to others. 🙂

    Summer Night

This poem glisten as bright as the summer night in the far north. The loving connection is pulsating in the lines and still there is quietness and comfort radiating. Great.

    innocence lost

I think, you are right. Trying to describe pain is in deed a bit trickier as you said and therefor it needs more craftfulness. Being exact can be important, not to make someone else suffer under the pain as well and furthermore the craftfulness also grants a little safe distance needed for one self sometimes. Maybe sharing happiness and joy is much easier and safer. Thanks for sharing this poem. Lyssa

    innocence lost

A very powerful poem. In the middel standing an observation, surrounded by a web of time aspects. A very artful crafting. This poem is so bitter and sad, but the sadness is seen, witnessed and communicated, therefor there is a little bit of hope in the web as well.
  21. Beautiful sonnets, full of passion. I love those ocean motives, if I listen closely I can hear the rhythm of the waves weaving through the sonnets. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
