Well that trauma ended up being handled in the best way possible. This group of five really gelled well together as a unit. As I read this story now, free from my earlier misconceptions about Dom/sub elements, I can see a strong caring relationship between TC and David. Having one "bossy" partner in any relationship, directing food choices or others, isn't that uncommon for many of us. It can work well, especially if we come to realise that the motivation for the bossyness, is a sincere one. I think TC may have just inconspicuously proven his importance. When David finally reflects upon events and sees how well they turned out with TC in the background he's likely to value that knowing he didn't have to give up much of his independence. Is there enough there for these resourceful achievers to want to fabricate a solution to become more than friends? That would be a yes. All that remains is to discuss what form that will take.

Wow, I love how you focus on the minutiae of every developing thought. For me, it holds pride of place among numerous other stories of it's kind.

The survival of Fergus's pack is totally dependent on the success of Jimmy's missions. Fergus has admitted that there is no one else in the pack who can fulfil that role. So Fergus needs Jimmy as much as Jimmy needs Fergus's pack. Only pride is preventing Fergus from acquiescing to Jimmys demands. Logically, it makes no sense to focus solely on eliminating all the victims and not try to identify the culprit that's causing all these cases. That would be a never ending task. I agree with others that think Fergus is a closet homosexual. I also suspect that he may intimately know, who is biting all these strays. Its likely to be someone that Fergus knows and is having sex with. Hence why Fergus wanted to know if Jimmy suspected anyone, based on their scent. In short he's protecting them and using Jimmy to clean up their mess. The problem is, should Jimmy get any closer to the truth, he may find himself out of a pack or job or even buried in a ditch.

Cometh the hour, cometh the man. A sad part of the tale but one where we truly see TC's caring nature shine above and beyond. It's a times like this when we really get to know our friends. In fact the whole group came together brilliantly to support eachother. I bet Owen will never argue with his sister again. I had a sibling that I argued with and nearly lost once. Everything comes into perspective after that.

So what I'm picking up on, is that while Adrien wasn't specifically targeting a one night stand, he had realised that he may need to put himself out there at some point, with someone he felt close to, just to see how far he could comfortably go with another guy. Now that, I totally understand. It's a great portayal of a first night seduction and one that challenges, way beyond the physicality of what unfolds. 😏 😉 😎

TC seems to be making good progress on all fronts with his relationships with his parents and David. David's very much sensitive to TC's needs. TC may just be disposed to start reciprocating. We'll see.

A clear well written chapter in which we got to see much of Rob's fears, isolation and loneliness that he did so well to mask from others, including Mark. That was a very interesting comment about his alter ego, the Rock Star, failing to turn up some evenings and having to stand in for him. Nerve-wracking stresses. Interesting twist introducing Sam Smith in the list of infamous stars to have been seduced by U N I band members. Both Rob and Mark now have transgressions that they need to confess to the other. That should pave the path for them to forgive eachother and hopefully start with a clean slate. But now that Rob has bared his soul to us already, I suspect that he will not be repeating that again in rehab. Something will no doubt turn him against rehab and where will that leave him in terms of reconciliation with Mark. I almost feel like a prophet of doom about what lies ahead. I hope that I'm wrong. Once again, this story has got me hooked.

I'm not sure what you mean. I first thought you meant that troilism is not a normal or regular activity for commited serial monogamists and that would certainly be true. But maybe you meant that they only occassionaly dabbled in troilism and that was not enough to be called 'regular'. If that was your point then I would have to disagree. It seems clear that it had become a fairly regular activity for both Rob and Mark. While there were only a few incidents mentioned in detail, it's clear that it was something they both open to and enjoyed. There were many nights, and even years, that were skipped past in their history, where it probably recurred and maybe even on a frequent basis. In that case, I think they would both be less inclined to treat it as something shockingly taboo and warranting a complete breach of trust. Apologies if I have misread what you meant. But for sure, where unilive is taking both Rob and Mark, is anywhere but 'regular' for commited serial monogamists. Naughty unilive!

I'm surprised that Mark managed to maintain his resolve, given Damien hands and lips were all over him. Finally the message got through to Damien. It was wrong of Mark to put himself in that situation with Damien but he discharged himself admirably with a little help of an unnamed party twink. In fairness, it was nothing more than Rob and Mark had been doing regularly on their tours, albeit as a shared activity. I'm sure that it wont matter much to Rob given the alternative. Infidelity with Damien would surely have meant so much more. Best not saying anything to Rob until he's out of rehab and fully on the road to recovery. Guilt is the price that Mark will need to pay for a while. Hopefully that will be enough to get him to start behaving. Dick 😉

You should have combined the dual Alpha/Omega scenario with your shifter story. I haven't seen that plot line yet. Glad you didn't btw, as this is far more challenging read.

If I'm being really honest, I can't get over how selfish TC is. In part that's because, I could never sub on a long term basis. But it's mainly because TC fails to accept that his friend is really a Dom that is subbing, not for his own benefit but so that they can maybe both enjoy a relationship together for a time. Quite clearly TC is not in tune with who David is, or he would have thought ahead and catered to David's natural Dom, following the adrenalin rush of the day. If you're going to be a Dom and do the job right, I suspect that you would need to be far more understanding of your partners needs and not far less. That said, from what little that I've read, of Dom/sub relationships, there is no possibility of TC and David making a long term success of this, where one becomes a committed sub. The only solution that I can see, is in them remaining friends and both going their own ways for the sexual gratification part or finding a willing sub, where all are happy to share in their natural roles.

Its a wonder Fergus didn't call them Romulus and Remus. Best not give the humans any more of a clue, I suppose. So was Jimmy a contract hit man, hired to clean up, after a human was bitten, or was he his own agent. And who, among the wolves, would have bitten the human knowing he could be left half turned?

Well Sawyer and Jada seem content with a very low key, light touch relationship that has saved two very career minded people from living alone. Sawyer has also harboured an interest in males since college and something significant had gone down at that time. The way seems open for either of them having an affair to relieve the monotony and it's certainly plausible that both may be interested in a male in underpants. But how will this tie in with Jimmy? There's nothing to indicate Sawyer has any wolf-like tendencies that need shooting out of him and he has a silver braided strap. Sawyer may be the former Jimmy but who knows.

Easily the best descriptive writing of an action scene, that I've come across on this site. Graphic, intensely captivating and sustaining a life threatening grip that never let up, until the final lucky shot found its mark. I liked the grounded, pathos and refusal to glorify in the victims fate too. Looking forward to finding out more about what drives and motivates this man.

Intriguing. What's the "seedy mission" and why should Jimmy be celebrating instead? He got the license plate match for someone whose transformed into something bigger. A werewolf Hunter and maybe a shifter himself. Let's find out. 🤔

And the other fascination is why a serial monogamist would act out a first night stand. These are the things that make the chapter intriguing.
