    Cinderella

I think you're wrong @chris191070. It's too small to fit Bjorn and I'm too much of a smart ass, for my own good.

    Cinderella

Cinderella with attitude, how funny. She was so pedantic about everything, how do they ever get her to do any housework? What's the betting that Bjorn, has delivered the ultimate dagger blow: a child sized dirty glass slipper that won't fit Cinderella but would fit one of Snow Whites seven dwarves. I'm not sure which but I'm pretty sure that it is going to be male. I'll go with Happy, as that would fit Bjorn's sardonic humour best. Of course, I'm likely to be way off the mark again. The hilarity continues Richie.

    The Ball

So why is the CEO, Patricia Le Quant, cackling like a witch? Has she anything to do with the intrusion into and breakdown in the Cinderella story? Maybe she wants just one more reason to fire Dorothy. I can't believe that Happily Ever After Ltd. Can afford to let Dave and Ryan free, given all the crimes they have commited against them. Abduction, GBH etc. They will certainly have to pay them off handsomely. Maybe that wont be a lot for two poor students. I wonder what Ryan will make of Cinderella.
  4. Well Ryan might still be focused on bringing Cinderella to the ball but will Bjorn persuade him to make the story more realistic by choosing a boyfriend instead, a footman even?

    The Queen

Ryan is such an egg. He'll let anyone do anything to him and not really complain. So what has Dorothy in mind to pep up Ryan at the Ball. She definitely picked up at the mention of bad boy Doug. That would be like adding a fox to cage full of battery hens, at that Ball: a spiel that Ryan is only too willing to share.

    Doctors

Intriguing stuff. Surely, Dorothy and Burnham will stop at abduction in order to keep the business rolling. The thought of three sets of needles darting in and around your privates, is almost slasher movie territory for me. I cant help thinking what poor Ryan is going to do if he needs to get out of those things. Kudos to Ryan's dad for getting his main gay contacts at the tennis club to have a chat with his son. I've no idea how this is all going to progress but I sure want to find out.

    The Dragon

Patricia Le Quant may have been interested in Cinderella but she may well resent not having her looks? That final cackle suggests vengeance is about to be meted out on poor Cindies. I'm intrigued on how they are going to get Ryan to continue with this cycle. And how are they going to get Dave to co-operate too? Fascinating read.
  8. "Fuck!", and I almost never swear. Is there a reason why both Ryan and Dorothy came up with that response too? I'm guessing there's more to the wishful "cross-dresser", Ryan and Dorothy than we've been told. It could just be a sentiment shared by the feminine kind, both possessing similar personalities. Perhaps Dorothy is Ryan's alter ego: an Alice, through the looking glass and this fairy tale, a place that Ryan escapes to when stressed, as when he was just about to kiss Dave. "Ryan looked down at his old scuffed shoes. Of course it wasn’t going to work without the ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz, or at least a pair of proper heels. What a bad time not to be a cross-dresser." Of course, I could be way off. Its all a bit trippy (at least in my mind) but I expect that Ryan and Prince Charming, will get their happy ever after.

    Vanished

Sheer brilliance on the comedic front, Richie. Doug's persistence for the hapless Ryan got the best laugh from me, in a long while. “Um, hi there,” he said. “My friends and I were wondering if that guy you came with is your boyfriend?” “No,” Ryan said. “Doug and I are friends.” The guy’s face lit up. “Oh great, so he’s single?” For pity's sake, give the guy a break! It's contending with Chapter 1 for the funniest chapter ever. You surely can't beat this.
  10. 'Nor did it occur to her that they would be married in less than three years, and that they would be divorced in less than eight.' Dry wit; my favourite! Congratulations on assimilating this detailed fairy tale environment: a 'Shrek' like story for more mature minds.
  11. Well that was a pretty funny start to the escapade, Richie. It was well crafted. Introducing the fairytale theme and direction, for what may be, a non-traditional, happy ending. I liked how you seamlessly switched back and forth between timeframes, to introduce Ryan, Doug, their parents and everyone else and bring us up to speed. Clearly, Ryan's dryness is going to land him in many more bizaare situations. It's great to have Doug's levity there to complete the modern day, odd couple.
  12. That was an amazing evening spent with Bono after picking up three major awards. Where did all that sage advice come from, about how to handle yourself in the music industry? I'm guessing you've read a lot of NME articles. On the point of the threesome, I always prefer loyalty too. But the threesome seems more acceptable to me, in the context of bands on the road. Especially as they both agree to it and have very firm boundaries about what they will and will not share with others, such as intimate kissing on the lips and using their partner as a bottom. As for many in the Rock scene, it's so easy to imagine things getting unhinged, with all that fame, sex, alcohol and drugs. How will their fans react to them announcing that the front men are a gay couple? Touring South America next is surely an opener to drugs.

    Chapter 5

Robbie and Mark have a great set of mates in the band. "Cheers, faggot!" he said laughing – his way of telling me that he was cool with it. I chuckled. I loved that about Jordan. I'm glad that Mark had the courage to tell Rachel about his being gay and loving Robbie. It was a measure of their great friendship that Rachel could still be trusted not to out either of them, in spite. That's just not who they are. I do hope she gets a perfect boyfriend after this. It's great that Mark got away from his awful family without any major grief. For sure, Robbies parents know what the boys were up to. They'd have to be deaf not to hear any of their lovemaking. So what's in part two? Rags to Riches and the temptation of drink, drugs, fame and seductive fans, no doubt.

    Chapter 4

"Hey, look, I did you a favour. You would have realized when you were forty and married with three kids that something was missing in your sex life," Never a truer word spoken in jest! As luck would have it, one of my son's was a sound engineer at the Rockfield Studios, Monmouthshire, where Coldplay recorded Yellow. Theres a story that the lyrics about the stars shining for you, came to them, the night before it was recorded, as they sat out in the courtyard looking into the night time sky. Small world.

    Chapter 3

Parallel universe is right. The adrenalin rush from both their sexual discovery, plus everything about the record contract, would be enough to claim anyone's high. Rachel being away for a month is great for the guys but I doubt it's going to make breaking up any easier, when she gets back. It might even make it worse because I expect that she will have missed Mark loads, while she was away. Re all the other comments, I didn't have the internet to learn about the prostate, when i was younger but I'm pretty sure that most guys still discovered, at a young age, that there's something pleasurable in there, whatever it's called. And let's not forget that Robbie was pressing on Marks happy button, only the night before. 😉 Well written story Unilive. I like the fact that, the Rock band, was not just a bolted on vehicle for the romance but is a thoroughly detailed and convincing storyline, in its own right. Roll on 'n Rock guys!

    Chapter 2

That was awesome. I especially loved when Mark realised, that Rob's lyrics from Shiver, were actually a love sonnet, written for him. Powerful stuff Unilive. The momentum of their sexual and emotional attraction, coupled with the track that Rob was singing for Mark, had them orbiting with the gravitational pull of paired binary stars. These guys are going places; beyond the stars it would seem.
  17. Oh wow, this was such a great read @unilive I think I've found me [sic] a new story 😘 I'm so glad that things worked out for Robbie, after being outed, by the lifelong object of his desires. Mark will have to make sense of his tumultuous thoughts and feelings. He must know that he is at least BI but how will he deal with it? He could ignore this night and continue his relationship with Rachel or he could soon identify as gay and hook up with Robbie. I suspect though, that this story may examine many other possibilities inbetwen. It's such a fascinating start.

    Epilogue

What a beautiful ending Ethan. To be clear, I am referring to that incredible poetry; being the ultimate form of expression, as my English teacher used to say. In fact you nailed everything in that epilogue. Jenn and Aiden together, forever, yay! Noah's mother: harsh but totally credible. So pleased that Noah's dad, siblings and nephews and nieces all got to enjoy eachother's company. Love means nothing without forgiveness. I'll forgive you for ending this story here Ethan. Loved it.
  21. That chapter was quite all over the place but it did toe up a lot of loose ends. My final thoughts before we get to the epilogue are these. The mystery video that was sent to blackmail Jordan to drop out of the team is bugging me most. From everything you said it seems that Sebastian was genuinely unaware of its existence when confronted with it before he left for Oz. I'm sure you were hinting at someone else being involved., like Chris. Re Jordan's uncle, I am amazed that they decided to attend the post funeral get together. After all they are not close to any of them on their fathers side of the family and none of them made an effort with Jordan when he was younger. OK so there was one aunt who was somewhat more sympathetic for whatever good that was. But to go to a group of strangers knowing some were actually hostile having just come out was crazy IMHO. It was uncomfortable, to say the least and could have been so much worse if there had been another homophobe or two in the group, which there could so easily have happened. I suppose it was a vehicle to deal with hostile reactions to gays, just not one that you would realistically invite yourself into. Re Noah's mother, she is a witch and no way capable of accepting Jordan and Noah together. I could understand her if she strongly held her views and was broken hearted for whatever bad she genuinely thought was going to happen to her sons spiritual well-being. But ignoring the crocodile tears, she is clearly not that weeping, sensitive, compassionate person and is all about her and her family's image. It would be at odds with the story to have her relent any time soon, if at all. I feel for Noah's dad. He should go to all the family events on his own and leave the witch stew in her bile, so she realises that she is the outsider in all of this. Hopefully, she will eventually see how much she has lost through hate and intolerance and will make some effort to love her son and his soul mate. Then the family will be disposed to show her more compassion than she was ever willing to show others. Finally, let's see Jenn get the boyfriend that she so much deserves. We don't know enough about Liam, and there are even doubts being raised about his sexuality. And we'd never wish Jenn on Adrian, would we? That's such a major loose end that needs addressing, I feel.
  22. Interesting. Is there ever a point where you would think a father has crossed the line and doesn't deserve any further consideration from their son?
  23. Of course Noah had to stay in Jordan's room for as long as he can. They had to enjoy this time together. Not that it matters much but I think Jordan was pretty harsh on Brody. All those negatives he had with his behaviour were simply the reactions of someone who could see they were in the process of losing someone they cared for. But clearly Brody did not share the same sense of fun that both Noah and Jordan do. Probably a bit too mature for Jordan. Nice touch by Jordan's mom making herself scarce for two hours. If that wasn't an announcement for two horny toads to get screwing, then nothing was. Noah seems so comfortable being his true self, in public now, nothing will hold them back. Will Noah's mom take the first steps to accepting Noah as he is. We shall see. But she will not get her own way controlling Noah again. Looking forward to the last chapter.
  24. The perfect ending. I knew that either Jenn or Jordan's mom would have to step in and break the deadlock. These two males were forever second guessing themselves and refusing to listen to their hearts in the interests of what seemed right to the other. Loads of love for Jordan's mom. She has way more than enough love for both of her sons now. How could anyone not be pleased with this outcome? You finally nailed it Ethan 💞
  25. This story has many good chapters and some amazing standout ones. This is one of those. One minute it's like old times between Noah and Jordan then theres Brody in the mix, Jordan's mum and Jenn now on Team Noah but finally Jordan announcing that he's happily moved on with Brody. Of course Noah is going to respect that, not wanting to mess Jordan's life up again. Will Jenn find out and tell Jordan about Noah having now come out. That would bring them back together but will it happen in time? It has to or this story sucks! 😉
